This was a great find, although a little hard to find at the same time. It's attached to the Conoco gas station convenience store. If you see a large impressive wood log structure, you're at the right place. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Our server, Tie, was super friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and well priced. I loved my pizza, with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. They had a great drink menu, including several excellent local Utah beers at great prices. I was staying in a hotel right across the street, and of course the hotel isn't lovely and there's no restaurant. I came to Juniper Pizza after reading a solid review. It was early in evening, and wasn't crowded. The service is very nice; I felt welcomed. The personal size pizza "Johnny Utah" was good, not amazing. A bit greasy. I should have had their amazing array of salad, but I was hungry for pizza. The beer, on the other hand, was excellent. The place is cute and clean. We were driving on highway 191 en route to Moab when we pulled over and took a chance on Juniper's Kitchen for dinner. It happened to be our friend's 50th birthday and we were hoping to make it to Moab to celebrate, but we got a late start, so Juniper's it was-- and Juniper's didn't disappoint! Our salad was fresh, the fried pickles delicious, and the pizza flavors were unique and tasty! The waitress overheard it was our friend's birthday (we didn't tell her) and she brought out a piece of cake making it extra special. We stopped at Juniper Pizza Cafe for lunch. It's easily accessible after leaving the highway and right next to a Conoco gas station. The servers, Patience and Becky, were very friendly and attentive. We had arugula salad, the Art Heart personal pizza, and the Tony Stromboli- very well prepared and really delicious. The personal pizzas are a great size if you're hungry, which I was. Juniper Pizza Cafe is in the town of Price. This is kind of a nice little oasis of a place if you have been driving for a long time and given the location there may be a very good chance that you have! There used to be a brewery here and there are still signs up as you come into town advertising it so it was misleading at first when they told me that there was no brewery here anymore and it's more of a restaurant. However they do have beer that is fairly local and made in Utah so I didn't feel that I wasn't getting a craft beer experience in every way. Anymore when I am on a trip I like to eat light and especially if it's during the summer or early Autumn where it can still get pretty hot. I decided pretty fast that I didn't want a pizza but took an interest in their salads. I decided to have the Strawberry Fields salad. It was excellent! So very fresh, crisp and flavorful! This salad felt to me like it was prepared with pretty high standards because all the produce that went into it was top notch! I was very impressed! Although more recently they've got some young poorly trained staff who are all nice and sweet but far from acceptable service. Waited too long for my meal. Items not available on the menu. Had to go ask for ticket after an hour. No refills on drinks. And food was ok. But not as good as I've had. Small portions too.
