Sarah, Joey, Kalen, Taylor, and Tori are absolutely the best! The customer service and care about the customer experience. Whenever I visit they are all always so helpful and polite. They truly care about wine and the vineyard are incredible knowledgeable about the tasting notes, the different vintages they have, and all the other aspects of wine. I truly appreciate all the knowledge about the barrels, and all the steps of the process they all possess. I've learned so much attending the regular tastings, vertical tastings, and window club dinners. Oh to even bring up the wine club dinners! They always have such good chefs and their setups are always nice. I appreciate the staffing and the attention to detail they always provide. Incredible evenings and fantastic food. Always a treat and a core memory. I've ate at so several Michelin star restaurants and had pairing. Albeit not always at the same caliber, as something like Alinea. It is hands down the best, and that is not even including the pricing. It's an absolute steal. And nothing in comparison for the area of central Texas. What Valley Mills Vineyards has cultivated goes far beyond the bottle. It is, in the truest sense, a living experience: one where the terroir of genuine human connection is as carefully tended as the vines themselves. They have a tasting room that's open daily - this is the actual vineyard that is open on Saturdays. We arrived and thought the place was maybe closed. The dog (buddy - good luck finding your dad) greeted us. We stood around in the "shop" area for 2-3 minutes before we started to look for someone. The actual "tasting" bar is down near the outside patio. We found the hostess and were the only ones there. $15 for 6 tastes (we got 7 since another club member bottle had been opened previously). Pours are on the light side. The wines are generally dry red, but some sweet options are available. The hostess was fine - but was rather dry/dull. We ended up purchasing a bottle and sipping a glass outside on the patio. The view is quite nice and it's relaxing. A few other guests arrived after we finished our tasting - but it was far from busy (we drove by the other location on our way and it was full). A good winery stop for the day - bring some snacks and grab a bottle to hang out on the patio.

She allowed us to taste the wines to make sure we liked our final selection. She answered all our questions and educated my friend on the different types of wine because she was a beginner wine drinker. We also learned that all the wines they serve are Lost Oak's. Even though we got there at 7:20 and they closed at 8pm she didn't rush us and took her time serving us. My friend got a white wine and I got the cabernet franc. We both enjoyed them. The establishment is beautiful, the have seating outside and inside. They also have games and a wine club you can join. Can't wait to go back especially when the weather is a little cooler so we can use their fire pits.

They also had wine slushies, and have live music outside sometimes. Cheese board wasn't too exciting, but it was OK. It's a good spot to relax and enjoy an afternoon, especially with options for wine on the south end of Dallas County being a little limited.
