What have you done to yourself, Juniors? Prior to retiring, I would eat at Juniors once a month or so. Home-made fries and burgers and good prices made it a choice if VJ's on main was not an option ... ie no cash on hand. Today, I thought I would give it another try, NOPE NOPE NOPE. Staff are vaguely interested in serving you..... ha ha ha, I'm over here ..... Asked for a straw, I got a shrug pointed at tje straws. Asked for ketchup ... got another shrug to the empty ketchup supply. Burger was a generic pre-made, no doubt frozen patty,fries are OK, but they are not home made anymore. Whenever I'm in town I always make sure to stop at this Junior's location. It's a great burger place that offers a lot of different choices. Service takes some time since the food is made to order. Their signature Fat Boy burger is a favorite. It's tasty and freshly made with chili in the burger. It adds a nice touch to the crisp toppings and burger patty. The French fries with chili is also a favorite of mine. The fries are topped with a generous portion of meat chili that oozes flavor. Great food at an affordable price. The food is good, but it's not worth waiting a while for. I waited for about fifteen minutes after ordering and found the burger to be good, the fries to be below average but not horrible. The fries tasted like they were cooked in too much peanut oil and had more crisp. The food here isn't the greatest anymore, most times it comes cold and not very well made. The service is also not very good anymore, many times things are forgotten from the order. The restaurant is often a little dirty especially the bathrooms. read more

I cannot believe the price. I ordered caesar salad with chicken. The salad consisted of maybe a 1/4 head of romaine and 5 or six small squares of chicken breast. For a whopping $15. Overall - good diner food. Bacon is awesome on the burger. Apple pie not worth the $1.09. Expect to wait a while for your food. They have a juke box and some video games. Friendly service. There is a drive-thru if you're feeling lazy. read more

Wouldn't recommend eating in at this location. I came in around 8 pm with only one other couple waiting on food. Ordered simple fish and chips. For 15 minutes I watched as car after car left the drive thru and delivery after delivery service person left with orders. There seemed to be more than enough staff as I was served quickly along with others who arrived after me. I will say that my food did arrive extra hot, but the downfall is cleanliness. Juniors used to be good when it was run by Greek people now it is all East Indian people running it. The people they have hired are rude and the food is cold and does not taste the same it tastes like there is some curry in it and the people working there give you dirty looks. I will never eat here again i have given them a few chances and do not care what race of people work there however I see racist hiring practices not one white Canadian works there and the service is terrible waited 15 minutes in drive thru for 2 Fatboys and when i bite into one it was cold. Stay away and go to a real Greek place the white top on Salter ave ! They care about their customers and the food is always piping hot homemade authentic Greek burgers and large portions. I hope they shut down this Juniors as it is destroying the restaurant's reputation as i kid I went here when the portions were huge and the food was hot with lots of great tasting chili on the fat boys now the bun is even dried out and stale tasting. I do not mind waiting if the food is hot when I get it. This review is specifically for Juniors in St marys. The customer service is terrible, I've spent more time waiting for the cashier to call me to the till then I have eating the food. I've stood there countless times waiting to be called upon, making eye contact and the staff walks by. The very last time I've ordered from there. Me and my friend always go here when we're hungry and it's walking distance from school. Poutine is so awesome here.

Would give zero stars if I could. Never service with a smile and at times is downright rude. Placed an order for 2 salads and other items. After everything was ready and bagged up (minus one salad) they told me they would refund me for one salad because they only had one left. I advised them that I would prefer to cancel the whole order as everything else would be cold by the time I went somewhere else to get another salad for one of the persons in my party. They refused and proceeded to give me $6.50 back for the missing salad which was clearly $6.89 plus taxes on their menu. I advised them that they did not give me back enough and they insisted they did so I asked for a receipt. Not only did the receipt show $6.89 plus taxes for the salad, but also a charge for $1.59 for shredded cheese on my chili fries which I did not want nor ask for and was not aware that I had originally been charged for. When I pointed that out they offered no apology but they remade the chili fries without the cheese while the burger in my order continued to get cold. They gave me the new chili fries still with no apologies and more importantly no refund for the remainder of the salad cost nor the $1.59 plus tax they charged me for the cheese on the fries that I did not want nor ask for. When I asked about a refund the girl at the counter was very rude and just said "but we remade your fries for you!" in a very snarky tone. I told her I appreciated that but it had nothing to do with the fact that I paid for something that I did not order therefore I wanted the money back. She told me she would give me it back but said I could not have the receipt if she gave me a refund and refused to refund my money until I gave the receipt back. I handed her the receipt and she gave me $1.60 back for the cheese but did not refund me the taxes or the difference I was still shorted for the salad. I pointed out that there was still $1.48 missing from the amount refunded for the salad and the taxes on the cheese and she continued with her snarky attitude and said that she gave it back to me and owed me no more. So I asked to take a picture of the receipt which I did alongside the refunded cash I received. Of course the burger portion of the order was long cold by the time this ordeal was over as well. If there was a zero I would have used it. We had one of the worst Junior meals every last night. Late night dinner as we were out till after 8. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, my husband the double fat boy both no chili, both large fries, gravy on the side. My gravy was poured over my fries and they were cold and yucky tasting. My burger did not have regular bacon but turkey bacon on it. Really? You go to Juniors for the real stuff. His burger had so much mayo on it that he was covered in it as I watched him eat it. Mine of course had the turkey bacon but no better to eat. Part of my bun had a big dry spot on the top, like it got left out to dry out. Tried looking and calling to complain but nothing on site, and no one answering the McPhillips street Juniors. But absolutely the very worst meal we both threw away.
