#4 Roast beef and mozzarella cheese on garlic bread. I added mayo to it.
Vincent P.

Almost a month ago I dropped by this place for lunch around 12:30pm with a friend. We couldn't find parking and my friend didnt want to eat so I went to order sandwich to go. I had no idea what I wanted so I asked for recommendations. I decided on the roast beef and melted mozzarella cheese on garlic bread with mayo. The roast beef was nice and moist, contrasting with the crunchy garlic bread. The mayo helped smooth it all out. The sandwich was solid but I think a little kick of spice or something would have made it a lot better. They also had coffee soda in a bottle so I tried it. It tasted like carbonated coffee with sugar. It was interesting and I liked it. This place is a gem in a way because it's the only sandwich shop among lots of construction in its vicinity. The food was surprisingly nice and had a homemade taste. If I come again, I'll have to order takeout again because parking was difficult to find and there are no seats in the shop.

PB wraps with strawberries and powder sugar. They can also make you ones with Nutella! hmm-hmm-hmm.. seems like a lot and it IS a lot!

The dining room is anchored by an olive tree that rises improbably from the center of the floor, its branches catching the light from a constellation of milk-glass globes. Along the bar, bottles glow against whitewashed brick, and the marble counter is set with striped linen napkins. The effect is part farmhouse and part supper club, and it is more inviting than either would be on its own. The menu favors familiar dishes executed with care. A glazed salmon arrives lacquered and deeply caramelized at the edges, resting on wilted spinach and a bright hash of corn, peas, and shallot, all bound by a butter sauce worth chasing with a fork. The fish sandwich is a study in restraint: a well-seasoned, pan-crisped fillet, a soft brioche bun, and a tangle of slaw, with a plump pickle and coleslaw alongside, as tradition demands. Dessert is where The Shed allows itself some indulgence. A dense, fudgy brownie, dusted with powdered sugar and set beside a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting into chocolate sauce, recalls childhood without apology. Notably, the restaurant takes its non-alcoholic drinks seriously. The mocktail list is broad and thoughtful, a welcome gesture of hospitality toward diners who would rather skip the spirits without skipping the fun. Service, led on this evening by a warm and unhurried server, matched the room. Tables linger here, and no one seems to mind. The Shed isn't trying to reinvent anything. It simply does the familiar things well, in a room that makes you want to stay for another round of dessert and another hour of talk.

The one thing I love about using the Yelp app to discover hidden gems is that you never know where…read moreit will take you. That being said, on September 23rd I was in search of something new and exciting and I was guided to Thomas's Ham & Eatery. I have passed Thomas's Ham & Eatery over a dozen times, and thought that the parking lot was rather small so I just kept it moving. Driving into the confined area, I found parking immediately with room to spare. Stepping inside of Thomas's Ham & Eater, a wave of happiness hit me--bright, sudden, and uplifting, like the effervescence from a freshly popped bottle of champagne. The happy atmosphere of the dining area was so contagious I immediately followed suit and put on a happy face. Looking around the restaurant and soaking it all in , I saw tons of people enjoying their meal while listening to groovy sounds such as; The Eagles - Peaceful Easy feeling, Bonnie Tyler- Total Eclipse of my heart, and so much more, but I got overly excited when Elton John & Kiki Dee's- Don't Go Breaking My Heart came on. I was in full sing along mode as I was seated. Now, I would love to talk about the food and service. The restaurant was clean and tables were freshly wiped. My waitress provided impeccable service as she stayed in catering mode. She supplied everything that I needed with kindness and passion. She was very patient and did not mind coming back to see when I was actually ready to order after looking over the menu. I went totally off the grid and ordered Cajun Omelette. It consisted of Louisiana Andouille Sausage (LAS), Tomato, Scallions & Green Peppers, and served with Home Fries & Toast- $16.45. Despite the small amount of LAS, the omelette was a grand slam. I really enjoyed it, the home fries had a few peppers and onions and just enough burn to let you know that they were not entirely overcooked but you will have that crunch. I did ask for lite butter on the rye toast, instead I received enough butter to lubricate bicycle gears, I scrapped it off and kept it moving, no harm no foul, keeping a positive vibe. The coffee was just as good and I really enjoyed it as well. I give Thomas's Ham & Eatery 3 1/2 stars but the atmosphere and tone boosts it up to 5 stars, I will definitely be returning for another HAPPY MEAL! Inspire more, Yelp more!

My love and I found ourselves in the area and wanted to grab a light lunch before going about our afternon. We arrived around 12:30 PMand we still had a 25 minute wait. Ample portion size and perfectly salted. Brussels Bowl for me (quinoa, grilled chicken, crispy Brussels sprouts, pickled red onions, and lemon parmesan dressing) and Turkey Panini for him (roasted turkey, applewood smoked bacon, butter lettuce, tomato, red onion, basil tarragon aioli, and rosemary focaccia). We loved our choices. We were clean-plate club members during this lunch! We love that they have truly fresh-squeezed orange juice. You can't go back to drinking Tropicana after this! Ample parking in the strip mall. We'd return!

Very randomly put together furniture pieces, ants in the room (came back to see my coffee cup from breakfast swarming in ants), and no refills on the soap which still come in the little bottles. Our room didn't even come with a Do Not Disturb sign. Also our windows had dew all over them and obviously had not been cleaned for awhile so we could not get a clear view outside. Housekeeping did a great job, though, and the shower got hot and had good pressure. No racks for your towel in the bathroom, though, so we had to hang on the shower door. Our mattress was nice a medium firm, I think we had to upgrade for it but it was worth it. Front desk was okay, not very friendly. When we left, the person at the front didn't say a word to us or ask how our stay was. Parking lot was frequently full with event guests, at least it's free. But bonus was there are fireflies! As an event venue, it was nice but the wifi caused issues with the photo booth which kept having to be reset because it wouldn't connect to the printer. Also the speakeasy room was obviously not very well kept, we even were treated to a millipede or a centipede crawling on the wall behind the guests as they sat on the sofa. For the amount guests pay, I think they deserve better.

I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. All in all, this was a super solid meal, there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite spacious, and the single bathrooms are also pretty large.

It was a little on the bland side. We also had a couple of cocktails that I thought were really good - the Lavender Haze and the Turn the Beat Around. I recommend both. We ended the night with the Apple Crips dessert, which we both enjoyed.

The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, modern atmosphere that feels much more upscale than its surroundings. Based on other reviews, the standout dishes seemed to be the grilled Spanish octopus and the SB Smash Burger, so I ordered both. Unfortunately, the execution fell short in several areas. The East Coast oysters arrived with mignonette but without horseradish or oyster forks--small details, but noticeable oversights. The oysters, octopus, and burger were all tasty, but the presentation of octopus and burger was surprisingly sloppy, as though little attention had been paid when the dishes left the kitchen. The bar also was understaffed. A single bartender was serving both the bar and the entire dining room, which led to waits for drinks. My bartender was friendly, attentive, and worked hard, but one person simply wasn't enough. I finished with the Key Lime Custard, which had what appeared to be a layer of shredded cereal on the bottom. I wasn't sure what it was. The dessert itself was enjoyable, though I think a base of toasted sliced almonds with a few fried blueberries on top of it would have added better texture and complemented the flavors more effectively. One nice perk is the validated valet parking, for a reduced fee, which makes arriving and leaving especially convenient given the mall location. The whiskey selection could also be improved by adding a few more interesting, off-the-beaten-path single malts or blends. Overall, the kitchen shows promise! And perhaps I came on an off night. With better attention to presentation, appropriate bar staffing, and a more adventurous choice of spirits, Small Batch could deliver an experience that better matches its reputation.
