Junior's is great and convenient for those times that the weather is lousy, we're lazy and we're not sure what we want to eat out of what's in the house. I love using the website to place the order. On occasion during busy hours, I've gotten a cold pizza whose crust was burnt, but when we called, they were gracious and sent over another one, and occasionally they forget the soda I ordered as well. I highly recommend their grilled chicken salad. I only wish they added anchovies as an optional addition. The store is usually pretty clean, but as some other reviewers have mentioned, beware the sharp dip from the doorway to the sidewalk on your way out of the restaurant. read more

Wow. We've ordered from Junior's Pizza for over 18 years. That's how good the food was. But what has happened to our favorite pizza joint? We got our usual pizza with extra cheese that was skimpy on both cheese and taste; Greek salads that were low quality veggies with black olives instead of Kalamatas and no more italian peppers and - the piece de resistance - Buffalo Fingers that literally melted holes in the takeout container; leaving molten metal on the chicken. Needless to say, we could not eat that. We've definitely placed our last order with Junior's. It really makes us sad. We had hoped to get in touch directly with Junior's to let them know without having to make a public post, since we have loved the place and wanted it to succeed. I wish there was an option for negative stars. We have ordered from there almost every Friday night for two and a half years. Tonight I called to let them know that the "specialty" pizza we always get has been wrong the last two weeks (and many times in the past, which we just let go). I said we didn't need a new one, and that we didn't want a refund or anything, we just wanted to let them know. I have NEVER been spoken to like the boss spoke to me. I just told him it was different, that we were loyal customers, and that we just wanted to let them know. He yelled at me repeatedly, then hung up on me. I called back, and he did it again. My husband called, this time to demand an apology, and he hung up on him. I'm absolutely disgusted. This place earns 5-stars with me because they are FAST. After I call and place my order, I have enough time to out the dog in her crate, head out the door and drive the 2 minutes before my pizza is coming out of the oven. One of the best delivery options in Acton. I have ordered; hot wings, BBQ wings, hamburger, fish and chips and eggplant parmesan. The wings topped them all. Never dry and not heavily smothered in sauce, not that I truly mind. Lol The hamburger was good but, I didn't like the sub style bread it came on. The fish and chips are ok, not dry but, I believe it's the tartar sauce that makes the fish taste a little funny. I tried the fish alone and with ranch, it tasted better. It's not over seasoned so, the cook staff did well for a place far out from Boston. The eggplant parmesan was excellent for takeout, nothing was over powering in ingredients. couple of months ago, I went there and ordered a Veal Parm, with no sauce, just the cheese then lettuce and Mayo. The counter person charged me for the cheese, Parmigiana means Cheese. in addition, he put lettuce and Tomato on it, not lettuce and mayo. So I stayed away. its been a while, so I figured I'd give them another chance. The woman behind the counter told me the total was $12.49, I was puzzled, was she charging me for cheese again? So I asked, she said the prices have gone up, I pointed out the the prices on the menu board indicate the base price for my sandwich is $9.99. She repeated that the prices have gone up.. I said you list the prices above. Any business knows that if you change your prices, you need to change the price board. I am afraid that NONE of the prices listed on the board are accurate and they are just charging above advertised prices on everything. Is this even legal? This is probably the best fast casual no frills pizza sub place in the area. This is my default for something quick and easy. They are really fast with the preparing the food. The interior is clean, well lit. Sandwiches are good, pizza's are good, sometimes the pasta can get a bit watery at the bottom of the container, but it is a good value which includes Garlic Bread. 1 order can last for two meals. If I could give this place zero stars I would I just ordered five minutes ago before writing this review and I ordered a large barbecue chicken calzone plain spaghetti and meatballs for my son and ziti Alfredo for my wife. First off their website said the calzone was 1099 the spaghetti and meatballs was 599 and the ziti was 699 yet when I got here they told me they charge my credit card $40.99 and the receipt stated that the calzone was $18 the Alfredo was 899 and the spaghetti was 949 so apparently their pricing on their website is old. Second problem the plain spaghetti and meatballs have a 1 inch thick layer of cheese baked into it my son is lactose intolerant and highly allergic to milk products, second off this calzone is the most terrible thing I've ever had in my life third the garlic bread and a calzone go are burnt Like I've never seen something burned before this is absolutely ridiculous I would've even paid more than $15 for this entire meal. Needless to say I am disputing this charge with my credit card company. So I'm adding a little update to my review after cutting my calzone open I see is that the things they referred to as chicken chunks on their website is actually tiny finally diced chicken, after working in the restaurant business for half of my adult life I know you only finally diced chicken if the chicken is about to go spoiled for two reasons one so it cooks very quick end it doesn't smell up the kitchen And the second so the person who is eating it can't taste of the spoilage until it's too late I took one bite to notice this I sure hope I don't end up on the toilet today read more

I have mixed feelings about Juniors. They have a very good spinach pizza that I continue to order but they have the worst cheeseburger and the one time I got a cold sub it was also pretty bad. The cheeseburger has two patties which is a plus if you are really hungry, but its almost too dry to swallow. I have tried them more than once, each time hoping they would be better and each time they were exactly the same. The only reason I tried more than once is because this area has a terrible selection of restaurants. Apart from sometimes the taste of the pizza can be very quite different and vegetables can be a little bit burnt out, The staff there are easy to deal with. This was one of the worst food experiences of my life. I will focus on the wings because they were unusually atrocious. I took one bite, my wife ate one and my daughter wouldn't even tough them and then we threw them in the trash. Does this restaurant know what a buffalo chicken wing is? The prices have gone up, including the delivery charge which shot up to $2.00, even when they're just going across the street. Across town, sure. But across the street, come on, especially when the delivery time is way off. I usually order in the morning for a future time, and have found that I had to wait an extra 10-30 minutes. Normally I wouldn't complain, but it's become habit with Junior's, it seems. With the price increase, the food quality has either remained the same or gone down. I looked at the menu today to order something for lunch, and I just can't justify spending $10 (including tax and delivery) for a plate of ziti with sauce and dry, flavorless garlic bread. I spent 3 nights in the hospital due to severe salmonella poisoning after eating a grilled Greek chicken salad on November 2-2018. I went into kidney failure and they could not find my blood pressure. After getting out of the hospital, I continued to have diaherria for 3 weeks. I contacted the owner (who also owns Stelio's in Billerica) he was apologetic and asked me what he could do. I only asked him to be compensated for my pay as I lost time out of work. He thought that might be able to do that, up until the next day when he was googling and thought I might have contacted salmonella poisoning through dogs (as I'm a pet sitter) I have all my hospital records and salmonella poisoning comes from chicken or raw eggs. I'm not a local but go to Acton very often to visit friends. This cute little pizza place is a must go in the area. I've tried most of their food offered on the menu and have never been disappointed. I generally prefer pan deep but their thin n crust amuses my taste bud just as well. The calzone is the best, especially fresh from the oven. Their subs n salads are very fulfilling. Over the years the quality hasn't changed a bit. Great customer service, has been helpful n comfortable at all times. There were a few times we ordered delivery and they sent in really fast! I use to order food here 2 to 4 times a week. I would regularly spend up to $400 a month there. The food was good, not 5 star Restaurant quality, but for a "subshop" it was pretty high up there. The reason for the One star rating? Service.. On 3 separate occasions, the delivery driver (separate drivers too) attempted to quote me a price $5-$10 more then the order. When I told them what the website said, the general response was "oh, well I don't have the receipt, so i'm estimating..." Really? Then how did you know my address? The final straw was when I ordered food on a weeknight, and 2 and a half hours passed, No food showed up. When I called up the shop I was Told that it was "going out the door now" When I asked them to cancel the order, and to talk to the owner/manager, the lady hung up on me. By far Juniors is my favorite for calzones, and I always ask for sauce inside and on the side which they have no problem doing. I love the bread they use for calzones and subs, I think they bake it themselves (at least the sub rolls). I'm giving them a 4 because I'm not a fan of the pizza. It's not that it tastes bad to me, it's just boring, I don't think they put enough of anything on it and maybe it's just the way it cooks, but it's nothing special. Over the years Juniors has changed management quite a few times and since I have lived down the street most of my life, I've been there a lot. The current management is my favorite and they did a nice job a few years ago remodeling the shop, they also have a nice large (Hi-Def?) TV, so when I pick up my order during a game I can still watch if I'm waiting. The staff is always friendly and for the most part they are good about preparing the food in a timely manner (I may have had to wait a little longer at times, but only when busy and it's like that anywhere, no biggie). Juniors was recommended to me by family and coworkers. I ordered the Steak Tip Salad plate. First off the cashier doesn't offer you a receipt for your purchase. Which I found to be a strange practice. Although i never asked for one either. The salad came with plenty of steak and a good salad mix. But the steak was tough and chewy. And "Watch Your Step" leaving the store. There's at least a 6" drop outside the doorway as you step out. I had forgotten and almost fell with my salad in hand. May seem like a slightly petty review. The food itself is great, this was my favorite place in the area to order pizza from until today. They messed up my delivery order which took twice as long as they claimed it would take and forgot my calzone. When I called to talk about it they were pretty rude and told me to just place a new order.
