As first-time parents, the daycare search was nothing short of worrisome and stress inducing. We…read moreare so glad we found Learning Land! We brought our son there at 1yr of age and it has been one of our best parenting decisions yet. The staff has been caring, communicative and extremely helpful. The nap training alone has been worth it! I could write more and more, but mostly importantly, our child is happy, constantly learning and hasn't lost an ounce of his bright personality. The first drop offs are the hardest, but the 50th start feeling pretty freeing. A feeling you only gain with trust your child's in good hands. Thank You Kent Campus. It's been a good year!

Where do I begin. Lets start with the family atmosphere this childcare gives. How sanitary and…read moreorganized the director "Mrs Christa" keeps the center along with all of the supportive and loving staff members on her team. From the infant room all the way up to the elementary school age kids, my 4 kids ABSOLUTELY enjoy their time here every day. I have 1 kid in the infant room, toddler room and lastly elementary. I have used this center as well as the previous Learning Land center on 256th street for a grand total of 5 years and counting. All workers here are diverse, friendly, informative, safe, empathetic, supportive, nurturing, patient, experienced and licensed. I would HIGHLY recommend this childcare center to all parents needing childcare over anybody and any other center. -Raya S-

She started in their 12-18 month class and is now in their 18-24 month class. We have seen so much growth in her socially and academically. The facility is just as clean as it was the first day they opened! They do a great job with their app letting me know when she gets diaper changes, eats, nap times and even pictures throughout the day. Her teachers have all been friendly and fill us in on her day when we go to pick her up. Also the owner and manager are always there and available. Would recommend to anyone wanting to put their child in daycare!

My 21-month-old had a good time here today! I needed a place reasonably close by to take him on…read morerainy days. Cost is $10 for one child for all day and the place seemed clean and bright. The place has a big, climbable fire truck that my son loved. The place has several different themed rooms (grocery store, beauty salon, vet clinic, fire station) with coordinating toys and dress-up clothing for pretend play. The woman at the front desk said more themed rooms were in the works, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they add. Plus, there is a big play house with two sets of stairs and a big twisty slide to get down. I did see a small area for younger babies that i think was labeled for toddlers, but there is no way a walking kiddo will want to stay put there when they see all the cool stuff there is to explore! Kids and adults keep their shoes on here, and I noticed two party rooms for birthday parties. They also have events from time to time. Tonight, for example, they are doing pumpkin decorating. Apparently there is also a preschool here, although I don't know anything about it. You will have to decide for yourself if the place is worth the cost. My son only makes it about an hour at any play place / playground before he tires out or melts down, and he enjoys Kids Cove up in Bellevue (which is free) just as much, but some days driving up to Bellevue in 405 traffic is a pain and I'd rather go somewhere closer by that doesn't involve a mall parking lot (esp as the Christmas shopping season draws near). Plus going to the same places over and over gets monotonous for me as a parent. Wish there were more options in Renton where I live, but I still feel this place is worth the 20-minute drive. We will be coming back!

I used the Maple Valley KinderCare for several years. The…read morepeople at KinderCare care about the kids and work very hard. The care provided was good. Other reviewers are right - there are few options in Maple Valley for childcare. I believe that I was treated rudely, dismissively, and condescendingly by KinderCare management on a daily basis, over a period of several years, because the location director has a low opinion of divorced single fathers. I believe that the location director empathized with my ex wife who also used their services for our child as part of joint custody. Bottom line: Your kid will be well taken care of. Divorced single fathers may need to endure an abrasive provider for the sake of their child.

Unfortunately, this is a small town. The options for daycares with transportation to school from…read morebefore/after programs is narrow and limited. So, after having our son enrolled in another daycare due to being misled to what school he would go to-we had to switch over to this care center quickly. Well I have to say, this has been incredibly disappointing. The enrollment process is daunting and unclear in many ways. I found that the floor plan for this location which is basically an open floor concept, creates distracting limitations for the kiddos. My husband and I also have taken note that the staff seem to be overwhelmed and sort of in slow motion-not very appealing when you have a youngster with big energy. I wonder if there will be backlash for writing this as most people write reviews after an experience has passed but I'm not one to decide on expressing myself based on fear. I'm incredibly disappointed in the start up of my sons enrollment regarding costs, too. We were told as our son was starting the first week with only 3 days due to the Labor Day holiday and the day off on Friday (so that we could take him/pick him up from his first day in Kindergarten)-that our payment for the first week would be for 3 days only. Moving forward of course, his tuition would be for full time care. This was executed in a conversation as well as on paper. Pretty straightforward. It should be mentioned as it was in that conversation that, if full tuition would be due for the first week than we would have started his enrollment the following week but were prompted by the director to get our son "acclimated" to the new daycare. Unfortunately, I am now in an email thread going back and forth with the Director who seems very confused and going back on what she quoted us just last week. We are in a bind because this is the only daycare that we can find that provides transport to our sons school and both my husband and I work FT. I cannot stress how badly Maple Valley really needs to expand on childcare options for families with kiddos in school. The limited availability is putting families in compromising positions. The center Ezrah spent his first years in was amazing-The Giving Tree (writing a review next). Ezrah is now expressing how much he misses them, misses his friends and doesn't want go to the new daycare. Sometimes you feel like you fail your children and with this all adding up, I do feel like I have failed him. Darla seems to be (for a childcare provider), cold and all business. It's unnerving. If you do not HAVE to enroll your kiddo here, I wouldn't. Up the street there is a fantastic center called "Kid Country" and while Ezrah was only there for a month-I can tell you it was fantastic and the staff there are warm and loving.
