I am particularly impressed with how the caregivers and teachers take a genuine interest in the progress and lives of each of the children in their class. Whenever I've had questions, the Orchards Director has been easy to reach and prompt in her responses. The classrooms have been recently renovated and are kept clean. There is a good variety of age appropriate and safe toys in all of the classrooms. Security is well maintained with video monitoring, keypad access to facilities and fenced outdoor play areas. I love the phone application that they use for the secure check in and out procedure, as well as the photo updates throughout the day. Their Junior Kindergarten class is quite robust in its educational curriculum. The lead Junior Kindergarten teacher has been teaching young students for over 20 years, I believe. I'm honestly impressed at the progress my four year old has made behaviorally and educationally. They also have done a great job at offering events throughout the year. Kids Christmas program, picture days, Easter egg hunts, "pumpkin patch" etc. I couldn't recommend the Orchards more.

We brought our son there at 1yr of age and it has been one of our best parenting decisions yet. The staff has been caring, communicative and extremely helpful. She wakes up everyday ready for school because here their philosophy is learning through play. Kids at this age needs that and to be grounded to nature and the outdoors. She has brought back daily random facts and things I've never learned before. During the "school year" they do seat work and she has learned to write the alphabet in upper and lower case, count to 100+, and even phonetically sound out words to help her start reading. During "camp weeks" they have themed programs that make the weeks exciting like horsemanship week, or kids in the kitchen, or life on the farm. We are so grateful we got a spot here and we hope to have our son back in here in the future! If you are looking for a preschool to put your child in, you came to the right place.

It has been so obvious how much they truly care for every kid. The state of the property can only be described as "magical". The children have the opportunity to play and learn outside, gardening, taking care of animals, and learning real-life skills through play. Our son has grown academically, learning to read and write...as well as just as a person - learning patience, sharing, regulating his emotions, etc. They also focus on healthy foods and habits and teaching a good foundation for how to take of your body and the earth. Something that matters a lot to me in addition to all the other things is cleanliness. The property inside and out is extremely well cared for and safe. All kids wash their hands on arrival and many times throughout the day - and they always keep parents in the loop if something is "going around". The part that isn't readily apparent when you tour this home-based childcare is that there are no caregivers present who speak English for 99% of the day. This may or may not be an issue for you. But, for small children who are just developing their language skills, it is a challenge. Just as important, my child wasn't able to communicate to the providers: my tummy hurts, he hit me, etc. And, I wasn't able to communicate with them during drop off or pick up: she has been emotional this morning, she didn't sleep well last night. But for the communication challenges, we would have stayed here, but it did not work for us.

Teri and Dani were very caring and loving to my son. He always talked about his new friends and had fun making crafts and playing with ponies. They have a great backyard with a beautiful view that the kids get to enjoy. Unfortunately, we moved to the Peninsula so we had to give them up. I miss talking to them about any situation or new toddler issue I was having with my son. They had some great advice and tips to use. They will be hard to replace.

I went through a life altering event in my life and they were supportive. Latest drop off is at 930am unless you let them know ahead of time. They stop serving breakfast at 830 as well. They are friendly and I enjoy their parent-kid interactions -pie day, graduation day, tea party. It is on the pricey side. For preschooler-age, it's over $1600/mo. Sometimes it can be short staffed and they'll let you know if you need to pick up your kid earlier. They have an app and you can see what they're doing. Sometimes I get photos in the app where my kid isn't in the picture. When they are busy, sometimes I don't get any pictures which is understandable. I want them to focus on what's really important. Also the app lets parents send email and communicate to the director and teachers. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a conference in the school year. They were so busy with the end of year party that I had to make sure that I had everything packed before leaving. I liked that the teachers use white boards/paper. Let's do one better and have the kids take turns going up and presenting. I think they already do that for days of the week, etc. Overall, decent place. Daycare isn't easy and they try hard to improve their image. I know they have had rough reviews but not sure how truthful they are. Ms. Cynthia is great! She's so sweet and friendly and patient when I'm late picking up my little one. Also, Ms. Maria too! She may not bubbly but she teaches stuff and now my kid knows Spanish because of her.

I would absolutely recommend the center to anyone looking for a safe, warm, welcoming environment for their kids.
