Such a wonderful place! It's never easy leaving your baby all day but the staff at Kindercare made the transition to daycare as easy as possible and our daughter loved it. You can tell that the teachers really care about each child. We loved getting little updates through the app and seeing all the various activities throughout the day. I am very happy with the care and love shown to my two children here. I have a child in school age and one in toddlers with both classrooms being phenomenal. I think what especially sets the center apart is the director who is very hands on, organized, and an incredible leader. read more

My daughter started attending the Normandy Park KinderCare in 2018 as our one-off backup care option for when her regular center was closed but her dad and I had to work. We had a great experience. When Covid hit and our full-time preschool center closed, we were excited to find a spot to attend full-time and that Ms Neelam and Ms Candace were still there! We have had a fantastic year starting with summer school last year (which was a BLAST!) and now we are moving but are sad that we have to see goodbye to the amazing teachers and aids! My daughter has learned so much and grown in a lot of ways and has made some really great friendships along the way. We are so thankful for our time there. read more

Our son has been going here since he was 6 months old. While the onboarding process was a little unclear, we quickly grew comfortable due to the friendly staff. Our son has had a wonderful time with both the infant and toddler teachers. They have a very useful app where they provide photos throughout the day and at the end of the day they post a report which includes meal information, diaper changes, as well as sleep information. Drop off and pick up times are flexible and accommodating for us as we are both working parents. Overall, our son seems very happy here and enjoys his time with all the teachers and other kids. read more

If you care about your kids don't take them here. We enrolled our 20-month-old here for full time care. When we previewed the center we were introduced to caregivers that supposedly been there for several years, and a fine-tuned curriculum of activities that seemed well run and the perfect fit for our toddler. When we dropped her off on her first day I handed her to the disinterested teenager apparently in charge of the toddler room that day. My daughter was nervous, it being her first day, so I tried to distract her with toys. Wait, there were no toys. Just some old purses and a few broken booger-coated trucks. Okay, how about a book? No dice. Just a few shredded and chewed pages that looked like they had been picked out of a dumpster. On her second day, my child was sent home with an "incident report", a fat lip and a bump on her head. When I asked the 3 employees the next day what had happened, they replied "there were SO many incidents yesterday I can't even keep 'em straight, hon". Maternal intuition was telling me to get her out of there. I went into the director's office and told her what had happened. She said that she would observe and get back to me later that day. I called 4 times at lunch to check in on my daughter, and the phone was busy. I left 2 messages and never even heard back! Needless to say, we pulled her out right away. I still have never heard another word or had a returned phone call. This place is disgusting and I would not feel safe leaving my child there. read more

Staff was very nice, but the place is not very clean. There was also a girl working there who doest need to be working there and she needs to be fired. I spoke to two other parents who had an incident with her and they agreed. read more

I didn't realize there were such negative reviews of this place. My daughter has been attending since January of this year, in the infant classroom. I feel that maybe the reviews were considered and things have changed. The infant classroom teachers love my daughter and are always telling me how shes doing and they give me a "summary" sheet of what/when they feed her, changer her and how she naps. She's is always excited when I drop her off and she's happy to see me when I pick her up. I have the leisure to stay with her for 10-15 mins every time I drop her off and she loves being there. She loves to see her teachers, they make her smile and that is what is important to me. The place has their own chef, it's secure, and the price is great. I live downtown and I can easily pay double for childcare than this location. It's close to work and convenient. The director is great, I can talk to her anytime phone/email. They notify me when my daughter isn't feeling well and it's an honest judgement. They even gave me a trial day last November to see how my daughter would do and what we needed to work on (bottle feeding). The teachers have been the same since I have had that trial day. I take away one star because of the location. It's right next to an auto-body shop (not their fault) and there are lots of cars speeding through the parking lot, I feel is a little scary, but I haven't seen any incidents, so that is good. read more

I had my son there when he was in the school age room. He now have his own daughter and she is enroll there. Yes there are thing that had change,new center director, new staffs and new policy. The center looks way different. It has a warm vibe and welcoming. I get a report every day through their ipad about what my granddaughter is doing. The form of communications has gotten better. The teachers are ok but there are some serious issues going on in this facility. My first sign that this place was not the right place for my daughter should have been the first day I went to pick up my daughter and all the kids that have never seen me before came running up to my leg and asked me to hold them. Not just one or two but a group of them. This happend on almost a daily basis. My second sign should have been when there were constant reports of my daughter pushing and biting other kids and other kids pushing and biting her. This should have been a sign because my daughter doesn't push or bite in other settings with kids (ie church, library programs with similar age group, etc) My last sign that made me take her out right away was 4 accidents in one week. Each accident my daughter did something that had the other child "retaliate" and bite or scratch her back. Retaliation was a word used quite often for children in the age group for 1 year olds. I spoke several times to the teachers, director of the school and co-director. I spoke time and time again that I didn't think there were enough teachers but they told me each time state law is 7 children to 1 adult for this age group. That may be the case but it obviously was not working for that classroom and the enviornment showed it. While picking up my own daughter on many occasions I saw pushing, biting and behavior that was not caught by the teacher while she was changing the diaper of another child. I even spoke to the district manager, who while apologetic and understanding, defended the ratio and the "retaliation" explanation of the teachers. I told her that word should not be used for children's actions that are 1 years old. I also told her that ratio may be the state law but the situation in that classroom calls for a change in the standard. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My daughter has enough scars on her face and body to prove it. read more

There are some GREAT teachers here! Unfortunately it ends there. It's run like a corporation with money being the top priority, not childcare. Communication with parents is terrible. District managers don't help at all. They don't even return phone calls. They look for any reason to send a child home. They make more money that way. They can have less staff but still get paid when the child isn't there. They'll accept any child regardless of behavioral issues. As long as you pay they'll let your child go there without having staff that can deal with special needs. read more

Some of the teachers here are great people, however the facility is run in a terrible fashion. They have no sense of communication with the parents, no organization to rules and regulations. It seems to be about money, in a corporate sense. The two women who seem to run the place are not friendly and don't seem to care much about customer service. I would never bring my children to this facility again due to the lack of organization, and uncaring nature of the leaders in this place. read more

My son has been at this center since February and I have had a great experience. He has grown so much since we enrolled him at 2 1/2 years old. There have been some bumps in the road that I would expect at any center. (ie. stealing another child's milk when he needs lactose free milk, and incident reports that make you wonder if there are enough teachers) But when we have addressed any concerns with the director or interim director all of them have been addressed and resolved promptly. The entire staff now knows that he requires lactose free milk so that if another teacher has to step in during meal or snack time he gets the right milk. Behavior issues have been addressed with the parents of the offending child and teachers seem to be breaking up fights over toys before the escalate to toddlers getting physical. My son has made so many friends and loves going to school everyday. The staff really seems to love the kids and makes sure they are well cared for. read more
