Cheryl is the best. Seriously. We heard about her from a friend and when we meet for our free…read moreevaluation I knew she was gonna be our trainer. We live in Lake Stevens which is out of her travel range so we met at McCollum park in Everett for our sessions. We have a 6 month old Whippet and the web is full of information about how Whippets are not motivated to be trained, can never be trusted off leash, no training collars (they have thin necks), are very sensitive, etc. After reading all this I was left bewildered. I had trained our previous dog (Lab) but I felt like nothing I knew before would work on this dog and I hadn't even started! Cheryl put my mind at ease. She felt that a balanced approach (a gentler training collar with lots of positive reinforcement) was the way to go and how a dog is trained and what it can and can't do is up to the individual dog and its owner. We signed up for her Silver package and met twice a week for 5 weeks. After our first lesson I was so pleased I could cry. Just that lesson taught Dobby not to pull which was his biggest issue. From there he learned sit, down, come, place, heel, stay, not to jump up on people and just how to generally pay attention to me more than his surroundings. Its tough for him as Sighthounds see everything and are intensely interested. But he's come so so far. Cheryl never lost her cool, never lost her patience and she had a solution for every issue that came up. I had to bring my 4 kids numerous times as we homeschool and she was never (visibly) annoyed, even though they were sometimes quite annoying :) We did end up using an electronic collar and our last few sessions involved working with him on that. He has begun work off leash using this collar. It also helps make corrections at home when he doesn't have a leash on and is far away. I would recommend using the e-collar option if it fits into your budget. Its been really nice. I can't recommend Cheryl highly enough. We really enjoyed our time with her and Duke and her impact on Dobby and us will last a very long time. She enabled us to have a well-behaved dog that we can take anywhere. That's priceless.

Manager onsite 10/14 apologized that previous person put the date in wrong in 2024 so it did not flag as overdue and the next person who checked the records I just sent for 10/2025 visit did not actually look and just approved it. We had to scramble as the vet was closed and we flew out next day. Over $600 to fly with pets and change hotel to pet friendly and buy all supplies and spent vacation driving extra because the hotel was so far away from the city. No follow up call from PP during this. Once I left negative feedback we got a call and further excuses claiming they emailed me the day prior to the reservation about the vaccine date which is a lie as the manager the day of the reservation said they had the ALL CLEAR and there was NO reason for them to "double check" previously reviewed reservations. Excuse me but needing a vaccine date for an upcoming or day off reservation but claiming an email was their ONLY communication attempt is ridiculous. They call and confirm, they send text reminders, etc. We had NONE of this. In the end we were offered a one night free stay for each cat for next time which is about $100 - as IF we will be booking again. Moral of our experience is if you book call and confirm but also remember this is a corporation and they do NOT care about people. The employees are nice but also remember they just work there. Will have to now find a better option before our next trip.

They are always so accommodating--even with last-minute boarding--which gives me so much peace of mind. You can truly tell they care about the dogs like their own. This Easter really meant a lot to us. When we picked up our dogs, each of them had their own adorable goodie bag with a plush toy, a cute bandana, and the sweetest little decorated treat. It was such a thoughtful surprise! But what really touched us was the Easter card they included--signed by the staff. That small gesture meant so much and shows how much heart they put into what they do. We also opted for the Easter photos, and they turned out so cute! He doesn't come out shaking like he did with other groomers because he's giving her kisses. My other pom loves everyone but she has thick course hair.
