    Chicken Curry Pie

I got the small Chicken Curry Pie. I was severely disappointed. As someone who makes different curries regularly, i wanted to try this. I couldn't believe how bland and tasteless this was. On the outside, the crust was fancy looking and massive, but had no flavor. On the inside, the "curry" consisted of chicken and potatoes and barely any curry flavor, no carrots or other vegetables, spices, or gravy. They put a blob of rice on the bottom and then put the chicken and potatoes on top instead of mixing it all together prior to putting in the pie. They should leave out the rice and just fill it with and actual curry stew and more gravy. Coming in at $15.99 for this bland pie that is only 5 inches in diameter, consisted mostly of bland rice was disappointing and I do not recommend it.

Apple pie slice - so amazing

How have I never heard of June Pie? Someone gifted us the Apple Crumble pie for Thanksgiving and it was just perfect. Many people said the best apple pie they've ever had! The crust is doughy and has a nice chew but also that classic flakiness on the outside and not too sweet! Great complement to the delicious apple filling, which is thick, prettily layered, and with the perfect amount of spice to apple to sweet ratios. The pie is so pretty in pictures but even more impressive in person and it comes in a very nice pie tin and nice box. Ours was baked already and we just warmed it up - so easy but looked and tasted like someone slaved over it for hours. I will definitely recommend them for fresh pies but only wish it was closer to SLC!

Clear instructions for baking the pie with a full list of ingredients.

We stopped in to grab a savory pie and a dessert pie to enjoy. Win on the savory pie and okay on the sweet pie. A small town pie shop they offer a limited selection on weekdays. When we visited there were two sweet options and one savory option. In looking at their social media it looks like Saturday is the day for more options. The savory pie was offered as a small or a full. The sweet pie was offered as a full pie or an individual slice unless the pie isn't conducive to individual slices. The Pork Tomatillo Pie was very good and flavorful. It's packaged nicely with good instructions for baking at home. The smaller size was plenty for my husband and I to share, especially with a side salad. The crust was brushed with a butter or oil and cornmeal that made it very tasty. The inside was full of meat, salsa, corn, cheese, and seasoning. The Coconut Cream Pie was just okay. The coconut cream filing had a nice flavor, but the crust had zero flavor. It was a pale color that was definitely missing something. With more flavor and more baking on the crust this could be a good pie. Overall, I'd return for the savory pie. This was a very tasty treat to enjoy at home.

Drove an hour to have the key lime pie hit my lips. Delish! Then we discovered they sell them at The store in Murray!

WHERE'S THE PEACH? Excited to snag peach hand pies this week "last of the fresh peaches!" Hmmm.

    * HAND PIES * SKIP THE HAND PIES. I've tried Peach Cream (NINE of them and there wasn't a peach to be found), tried Chocolate SIX OF THEM, which I'd say is the best so far - but that's not saying much, and caramel apple (3) - which was also good... and lemon (3) - which was fine. Seems like the ones you expect to just have "goo" are best, like lemon and chocolate. I expected the fruit pies to actually HAVE FRUIT! Crazy, right? So let's go with they just don't put fruit in the fruit hand pie, that's a helluva juxtaposition for their ACTUAL full-sized pies which are delicious and satisfying! * SMALL SIZED PIES * We've had Peach Cream, and Vegetable Quiche. Every time I get the smaller sized pie I'm disappointed in spending that much money and not having enough filling. The pie crust, beautiful as it is, is so thick that we wished (again) for more filling. There's no room for more filling. So do yourself a favor and SKIP THE SMALLER PIES! * JUNE PIE * If I had ONLY tried the full sized June Pie, this review would be FIVE STARS! We live in Cottonwood Heights, so when we heard about June Pies we decided to pick them up at THE STORE. I would have deducted MORE STARS if I had driven to Heber for hand pies or small pies. *Maybe that's the source of the mixed reviews.* * FULL-SIZED DESSERT PIE * We've had the Berry Crumble, Sour Cream Lemon, Coconut Cream, Fresh Peach gets an A+, Country Peach, Key Lime A+, and Peach Cream A+ pies. Ok??? I have now spent HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS on June Pies! EVERY full-sized DESSERT PIE DELIVERED! (If they browned the crusts JUST A TAD they would be much flakier!) * FULL-SIZED SAVORY PIES * We've had the Ham & Swiss Quiche, Shepherds Pie, Pork Tomatillo, Pot Roast, Thanksgiving Leftovers, and Italian Deep Dish! I would HAPPILY eat any one of these again. The savory pies seems to be were June Pie truly shines! Just don't be a fool and START with something like Curry Chicken or Grapefruit Pie... c'mon now!

We have been hearing people RAVE about June Pie so I was really excited to try it out-and then quickly was VERY disappointed. The shop itself was cute, clean, and well decorated-but besides that nothing else really wowed. We tried a lemon hand pie, which honestly didn't taste like pie and was just a pile of weirdly textured mush. We also tried a slice of the banana pie-the crust was way too dense & had no flavor and the pie portion tasted almost like Flan. I was disappointed in the lack of options for slices to try, as most pies you had to purchase a whole. Not sure what the hype was about, but we won't be going back.

My fam and I came to June Pie when we were craving a pie after tubing at the nearby Soldier Hollow. To be honest, this place was jaut decent, nothing special. Service: Since it was just counter service, I did not get much insight in how the girls at the counter were. It honestly seemed like there were too many people doing one job. There were 3 women standing around doing the same exact job. Food: I ordered the chocolate cream pie, since they only have 4 pies available per day, and I thought it was just okay. The chocolate cream with the whipped cream combination is good, but nothing special. The crust was just mediocre. It seemed like they were trying to go for something different with their crust, but failed to do so. Atmosphere: Two words: limited seating. The restaurant was small with only two tables and a sofa. They also have like 6 high chairs. Seems pretty cozy. Overall, I was expecting more from June Pie and they kind of let me down.

Key Lime Pie, short on filling.

I really wanted to like the pie we bought there. It was a key lime pie. It had good flavor but very short on filling, the best part. For $25 it was not worth

Kind of disappointed this go around with the hand pies! Won't do that again. they had NO filling in any of them! What a bust!

Poor presentation. Did not look good on the Thanksgiving table. Sorry. A lot of money for pies for them not to look pretty.

We ordered our food to go and the packages that held our sandwiches had some sauce all over the bottom, which made a mess as we took everything out of the bag. Also, I DM'd them to get an idea of what's in the spicy beef. Here you go: Spicy beef. house roasted roast beef, Capicola, american cheese, burrata, house made giardiniera, house made hot sauce, house made aioli, house made chili spread, (that makes the sauce). chopped romaine, toasted hoagie.
