I've been a regular at Junction 421 for quite some time now, and each visit continues to be a delightful experience. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and simply charming, setting the perfect stage for a wonderful dining experience. The food at Junction 421 is consistently good, and I've never been disappointed with any dish I've tried. It's evident that the kitchen takes pride in their craft, as the flavors are always on point, and the presentation is top-notch. My wife and I make it a point to have our date nights at Junction 421 at least once a month, and it never fails to impress. The owner's attention to detail is truly commendable. Not only does he ensure the atmosphere is welcoming, but he also takes the time to check in with all customers, making sure the service and food are tailored to your liking. It's this personalized touch that sets Junction 421 apart. The owner's genuine concern for customer satisfaction creates a special connection that goes beyond just a meal. The dedication to providing a consistently excellent experience makes Junction 421 our go-to spot for a memorable evening. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines a great atmosphere, consistently good food, and attentive service, Junction 421 is the place to be. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a gem in our community! read more

Shay served us and was a pleasure to talk to. Service was quick and thorough and we had many side conversations to add to the experience. Been here many times and always happy with their dishes. One of few places that gets pretty creative with their menu and the ingredients are always high quality. Had an incredible brunch today, got the chicken biscuits and sausage gravy and then got the bananas foster French toast. Neither are things I usually order, but just had a craving for epic amounts of food. The sausage gravy is definitely made from scratch and they know how to bread some chicken. The chicken is definitely the focus and quite a good portion but I really wanted a well seasoned gravy with quality sausage and certainly wasn't disappointed. If you're a sweets type, that French toast has a lot going on and the fosters flavor really comes through. Couldn't finish it, but if you can then you're more a man than I am. The French toast sat on a dense bread pudding like portion surrounded by bananas foster and syrup. Bacon came as a side and was fresh sourced, cooked just right and without that overly salted Cheney Bros BS. As always, I'll come back and order some of the many good appetizers they have or a burger which they do right. read more

What a great addition to Monkey Junction! Went to check it out a couple weeks ago and we've been back quite a few times! Whether you sit in the main dining room, the bar or in one of the plush blue booths in the back room... it's a wonderful experience. The servers and bartenders are warm and knowledgeable. And the food.. everything we've tried has been great! You can get anything from some killer "pulled pork" nachos, flatbread pizzas, burgers (even a vegan one!), to a gigantic "Baja Salad" and "Prime Rib" - Saturdays Blue Plate Special (and, yes they have a different one every night of the week). Top it off with the "warm cookie and brownie-bake" that is to die for. Not to mention they have so many local and regional beers AND spirits (who knew)! And tons of drink specials. This has definitely become one of our go to places not only in Monkey Junction, but all of Wilmington! read more

We have been to Junction 421 numerous times now and each time is superb. Tonight was no different. The service by Brandon our server was top notch. He was busy and I understand why! He is great. Always making sure you had refills and making sure you didn't need anything. He was pretty funny too! The quality of the food has always been superb! I rate and compare the Italian cuisine we had tonight 5 stars to any high end Italian restaurant in the area. The owner ALWAYS stands out by welcoming his customers at their tables making conversation and making sure everything is as it should be. I'm not sure how he does it but he will remember his guests too! You can tell his passion for his restaurant. Thank you Junction 421 for the outstanding consistency of your food and service! read more

Last night another couple, my wife and I, went to Junction 421. This now makes it our 3rd or 4th time. Each time we have gone our dining experience has been great. Meals are presented hot and plentiful. But last night was exceptional. What made the night was our wait person Candice. She was attentive and best of all she had a great personaliTy. We even went to the owner/manager Johnathan and told him how pleased we were having her as our wait person. And that she was an assist to his team. Even the owner made a point of coming over to the table "welcoming us home". So Candice we hope to see you again someday, thank you, and keep being "you"!! We were in town for the weekend and EVERYONE is short staffed. We attempted dinner at several different places before we stumbled across this gem. The host informed us the wait was long due to social distancing practices and an overall effort to help everyone stay safe but offered us a table near the bar. It was perfect! The bartender was quick and attentive. The red sangria was one of the best I have every had. The food was excellent, the décor was beautiful and the overall experience was great. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great drinks, yummy food and awesome people! read more

We ate at Junction 421 for the first time last week and intend to come back many many more times! Not only was the food amazing and the cocktails delicious but Jonathan the owner and Brandon our server made the experience even better. Brandon especially made a great experience for all the great recommendations he made 4 cocktails and beers and food. Plus he was very funny and entertaining! We also learned about the dinner pairings such as the bourbon pairing at the end of April which we have signed up for. We highly highly highly recommend Junction 421!! read more

We asked Jonathan for a special meal for a birthday dinner. He went out of his way to make this happen for our party of five. Ordering items that aren't on their menu. Our meal and service was spectacular. From picking out the correct wine to the rich chocolate pie, we couldn't have asked for more. This is service beyond a regular restaurant. This is home town people doing their best to please their customers. A super big THANK YOU to Jonathan, Thomas, the Chef and the kitchen staff. A big shout out to our fantastic server Joey. read more

We've discovered a restaurant that makes us want to come back.  The food is good and the service is great.  The owners are on site and Jonathan greets his guests with a big smile and a genuine appreciation for his customers. With so many businesses struggling to keep help, it's a testament to Jonathan and Shirena that they have plenty of employees to run Junction 421. Treat people well, provide good food and service...what a simple and effective formula!!!  It is now our "go to place" for special occasions read more

Stopped in for a family dinner and from the minute we walked in the door we were treated like family. The service was amazing and our American burgers were even better! Probably the best burger I've ever eaten, and we eat a lot of burgers. Kids got chicken fingers which were hand breaded and delicious. Generous portions, reasonable prices and a kids menu with lots of choices. Can't wait to come back Sunday for the chicken and waffles...I've been told they are a must try!! read more

Omg what a wonderful experience!!!!! Candice! Made our night!!! She fun, prompt, sincere and overall just made our evening worth leaving our kids at home and venturing out. I'm coming back to try the bacon wrapped meatloaf on a Monday. You can tell a place by their awesome people because as a bussiness owner I know the management is a direct reflection of its staff. I had the best experience here at Junction 421. The customer service was off the charts amazing! The food was out of this world! They give great portions. I loved the personal touch of the manager stopping at each table to say hello. I was impressed that the staff was very familiar with the menu and told us how much they love eating there with their own families. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant and I'll be back. read more

My husband & I ate here last night with our good friends... We had a wonderful evening! The food was great, but what made the night exceptional was Candace - our server. We ordered Easter dinner from Junction 421. Brisket, pasta salad, mashed taters, and the tastiest coconut creme brûlée ever. They also included a nice Easter message on a notecard and rolls. It was our first time ordering from them, and everything was awesome! Very friendly curbside service (covid restrictions). We will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

This place is the best restaurant I have been to in Wilmington in the past 4 years. The service, the food, the attention to detail. Hands down a 10. Our server was Joey and he was fab. Super helpful, knowledge and kind. The GM Thomas came out to greet us as well and they both really made sure we had a great evening. We did. Thanks so much. We will be back!! read more

We joined our friends at Junction 421 for a casual dinner. The shared plates we sampled were delicious. It was agreed by everyone that the Fried Pimento was worthy of a second visit and soon! Our entries were hot, fresh and flavorful. Truly made with love. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. We look forward to our next visit to Junction 421. read more

This place is great. The staff and owners care about your experience and the quality of your meal. My wife and I both had burgers (the Carolina and the Bleu Cheese & Bacon) and both were delicious and ample in size. The fries were the best we've ever had; super crispy! The homemade pickles were also fantastic! Will definitely be back. read more
