I prefer flan with a custard pudding consistency, but this one was more like slime. I believe I had their combos before I started yelping, and it was good and affordable. I would give this spot another try, but I definitely won't reorder the items I tried today.

I am disappointed that each sandwich only contained one piece of ham, one piece of cheese. one tomato halved, and a very small amount of thinly sliced pernil. They were dry. There was no mustard or pickles on the sandwich which would classify it as a Cuban to me. I asked for these condiments & got ketchup & mustard packets. Before we started eating there was a bottle of hot sauce on our table but for some reason it was taken away when the drinks were brought out. Next time I'll order the mofongo & hopefully they're not as light on the filling with that.

I first tried Cibus back in August of 2025 for a quick drink and appetizers, so when my friends…read moreasked where we should go for dinner, I didn't hesitate to suggest it. I may add that I live 90 minutes from here and only come to this town 1-3 times a year. So, my friends usually take my suggestions and a group of eight of us showed up on a Saturday night with no reservation, and somehow the universe blessed us with a table. The place was packed, even the bar had people standing around it; so we knew we were in for a good night. One thing I loved about Cibus that night, is the crowd. It's a great mix of Hispanic and non‑Hispanic diners, which tells you the food speaks to everyone. The décor is warm and inviting, and the dimmed evening lighting gives it that cozy, "we're about to eat well" vibe. Parking was easy too. I have to admit I thought it may be harder to find parking but we found a spot right behind the restaurant, though street parking is also an option, but was packed. Our server, David, deserves his own shout‑out. Super patient, friendly, and ready with answers for every question we threw at him. He checked on us often without hovering, and everyone at the table agreed he did an excellent job. Now, the food...my favorite part. If you've read my reviews before, you know I eat everything but have a soft spot for Asian cuisine. And even though I'm Hispanic, I rarely go out for Hispanic food because I cook it well at home and most places don't impress me. Cibus, however, did not disappoint. Not one dish missed the mark, and the whole table agreed. We even ordered extra food to take home. We started with the Garlic Shrimp with Mofongo. The creamy orange sauce caught me off guard because it's not the usual style, but it worked beautifully. The flavors were balanced, the mofongo wasn't dry (thank you!), and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. We liked it so much we ordered multiple plates of this one; plus two Cuban sandwiches to go. The Cuban was tasty, though it could use a little more meat and sauce. The Ropa Vieja was another hit. Plenty of meat, plenty of sauce, and the black beans were flavorful. A sprinkle of fresh cilantro on top would have made it perfect, but that's just me being picky with my extra flavors and aroma. We also had the ceviche, the trio of little mofongos, and the Chips and Guacamole -- and yes, they make their tortilla and plantain chips in‑house. Not a single crumb survived. I tried the Tostones Sliders with pork, and I wouldn't change a thing. They were loaded with meat, had the right amount of veggies and sauce, and were just delicious. The only dish that didn't wow me was the Maduro with cheese. I love maduros, but the melted mozzarella felt a little plain. There's so much potential here, instead of Mozart maybe try some queso Mexicano, a small side of meat sauce, chimichurri sauce, or even a spicy drizzle could take it to the next level. Speaking of spice, I asked for hot sauce and was surprised to get a watered‑down Frank's RedHot. For a Latin fusion restaurant, something like Cholula, El Yucateco, or Tapatío would fit the Latin fusion theme so much better and elevate the dishes. But overall, Cibus is doing so many things right -- great service, great food, great atmosphere. I'm already planning my next visit and bringing new people with me at end of May.

The restaurant midsized, it's nicely decorated, clean, and good for groups too. The staff were very friendly, food was good, however the waitress was ok. She forgot to bring my appetizer and forgot to place my to-go meal in time of the kitchen closing. The waitress was apologetic and I understand humans forget things from time to time when you're busy. However, this evening was less than half full and when we left it was near closing time...only a couple tables were still there. The least they could have done was comp my meal or have the manager stop by to apologize. But that didn't happen, I just didn't want to make a fuss...so I paid the bill and time will tell if there is another visit in the future.

HOST - the host area when you come in is mostly non existent we waited a minute for someone to come but their greeting was tremendously congenial and pleasant MENU - a very large menu and a supplemental special list. The cuisine is very Thai and there is plenty of dishes to try WAITRESS - she was unbelievably nice with answers to questions and solid recommendations based on your heat tolerance APPETIZERS - we tried the Thai wings that were excellent , moist with a spicy and sweet taste. The dumplings were also super and flavorful. The prawn appetizer was very good. I didn't try but others liked them very much ENTREES - definitely try the squid dish. It is very good and cooked perfectly so no rubbery squid. The sauce is unique and very tasty The Thai roast pork rice was excellent and had a great flavor The roast duck rice from the special menu was also a hit. Flavorful and tasty LIBATIONS - we had to try the Thai beer which was decent. Kind of a cross between Sapporo and a light Becks with a semi sweet taste DESSERT - we were to full to try so you'll need to fill in the gap here PRICE - I was treated and didn't see the bill. The "Wanderer" imbiber said she could sip them all night. I, being mostly just a wine drinker, ordered from the "unusual wines" - a delicious white wine from Languedoc named "Picpoul De Pinet, Feline Jourdan", which paired very well with both courses. Based on my enthusiasm we all shared a bottle with our Main Course! Total alignment. We shared Caesar salads, which were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their selection of a main course: Halibut with corn risotto, Shrimp & Grits with spicy red sauce (just right spicy), My dish was Mussels in ginger & lemongrass red Curry, paired with grilled bread for soaking up that sauce, Yum!; a Whole Red Snapper with Mole sauce for my husband - most adventurous diner of the evening! The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.

I brought these concerns to the waiter's attention and showed him my plate, explaining that I did not want to eat the dish. I did not order a replacement because I was dissatisfied with the quality of the food. When the bill arrived, I was charged for the meal I did not eat, and a 20% gratuity had already been added. It was so tasty and they gave a great pour! For my entree, I ordered the Peito de frango mocombique - which is chicken breast served in a spicy sauce. The sides were rice and French fries. The chicken was not spicy at all, but it was moist and very flavorful. The ff and rice were really good, too. Would definitely order this dish again. My friend ordered the bacalhau a bras - which is COD fish Braz style. It was chopped up and served with egg and sautéed onions. It was tasty! Could have used more seasoning or salt. But she did enjoy it! The restaurant itself is beautiful and calm. The server was great! We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.

You get a good amount of food. Street parking can be challenging, depending on the day & time. But the service was pretty quick. I believe they offer specials on certain days of the week. They also have limited outdoor dining. I had a good amount of shrimp in my serving, but I was so into the rice which was amazing, that I didn't have many shrimp. But the texture and flavor was great. They also added in chopped corn on the cob and it was sweet. This was a delicious meal to celebrate my birthday!
