Jurassic Quest

If your kiddies love dinosaurs, then this is the place to be! We visited Jurassic Quest this past…read moreweekend in Toronto, the entire production travels from city to city in Canada and the US. Think the we're recently in Hamilton and Niagara as well, check their website to see if they're coming to a city near you. The first part of the experience were dinosaur exhibits. These were full-sized animatronic dinosaurs, some moved their heads or tails, while others were stationary. The lighting and set up were a nice touch. There were signs by the dinosaurs that listed some quick facts. There was a table with real fossils and there was an expert there to answer any questions that you might have. You can take as much or as little time as you want - my kids just wanted to get to the bouncy castles asap. As this event took place in the Enercare Center, hall A and B, there was lots of space. Unfortunately, they could've put more stuff in. There were only 5 bouncy castles, stationary dinosaurs that moved in place, ride-on dinosaurs that walked a bit, toddler battery operated jeeps, a toddler play area, excavation section (both to chip away at a piece of fossil and another sandbox like excavation area), inflated basketball/soccer area. We arrived at 3pm on a Saturday and it was packed. All the bouncy castles had long lines, like 10m wait for each one. The ride on dinosaur rides were equally as bad if not worse. The organizers should've either had timed entry or put in more attractions to alleviate the crowds. The souvenirs were ridiculous - $25 for a helium dinosaur balloon that cost 15 cents to buy from China. The admission wasn't cheap either - $27.50 for the basic admission (same price for adults and children), but your kid will want to do all the activities - so you can pay as you go per activity or pay $45 per child which includes admission and unlimited play. I did find that the lines were a whole lot shorter by 5:30/6:00pm. Overall, it was a fun experience, but for the price, I would've liked shorter lines and more attractions.

There was a lego area, mini market, large play structure, mini dentist and xray area, interactive wall, 2 simulation driving games, ball pit, construction site and a dress up area! Plenty of parking. Some snacks and drinks available for purchase inside. Downside: It was pretty pricey compared to others of its kind. Staff were friendly. There are little cubbies available for shoes and a rack for coats.

I'm glad they opened up a new indoor playground uptown as there's not many in the area, you would need to make your way to the west like Vaughan area. So my friend and I decided to bring our kids here on a P.A day. We booked the admission and did the waivers online. They have various time slots for you to choose from when you book the tickets online. The duration is 2 hours of play for $19.99+taxes, it includes one adult entry. We booked it for 11:30pm - 1:30pm. As you can imagine it was pretty busy since it was a P.A day. The playground wasn't that big, there's a few party rooms. They have various things for kids to do. One downside is they only had two video game stations. Kids had to line up and wait for their turn, timing can be tight since there's only 2 hours of playtime unless you pay extra to extend it. This place is fairly new so it's clean and well maintained. They don't allow outside food and drinks but I've seen some people with it, perhaps they had found a way to sneak it in. They have snacks and drinks that you can purchase. I looked into their party packages and in my opinion I think it's overly priced, it's not worth it. Bringing kids here once in a while to play is still okay in terms of one time admission fees but not with their passes or party packages.

We were not provided enough time to allow us to set up for our party. Our party was to start at 4:30 but the party before us were only leaving the facility between 4-415. While we were told he needs time to sanitize, 15 minutes is not enough to sanitize every ride, slide, floor, table and/sofa. We have friends and family who came on time and were waiting outside because the owner would not let us in. We kept asking the owner if he can let us in to organize but he would not let us until 4:15 on the dot. 15 minutes is not enough time for us to set up for a party. When we entered he was rude and asked why people came in early with us (these are our guests and they were definitely thrown off by his behaviour). He made the kids wait before saying "fine get them to the kids area" Over and over again we were told that everything was "under control". Jon was demeaning and rude. We felt like we did not have a chance to speak up and it was our child's party we were paying for. He told us when and where to serve what food and even moved our cake pops and started stuffing one into my sons cake saying it will look nice before even running it by me. He was trying to make it look like it's something he always does and because I wanted to avoid an argument we just let him be. We were advised we would get a document regarding the party and anything we need to be aware of. We never received it. My son was getting a fever and tired from being excited about his bday all morning. When I asked to cut the cake earlier he said we have to wait and run on his schedule. Although he could clearly see my son falling asleep into my arms. Mind you, he's the birthday boy. We did not need a micromanager, who bullies you into following his schedule. I do not recommend this place, if it is to work with the same owner. Although location is nice, you also need an understanding and kind individual to work with. Not someone who makes you feel out of place from the time you enter. Please avoid if you want to be respected. Cons: Did not give time to take pictures with grandparents Did not let you speak Would not let you use your own backboard that you spent money on. We had to forcefully carry it and cover his backdrop ourself. Will tell you where he thinks it's best to keep your food Provided kool aids with broken straws Pros: His associate/ front desk was nice. It was clear she understood his behaviour. He took pictures for you (before rushing off to cut the cake). Has dishes to keep your food warm Play place and area for parents to hang out we're within the same area Hope these are tips that will be taken into consideration when working with new customers.

Right away, you could smell disinfectant which was exciting. Last time I went to an American Chuck E Cheese and I got a horrible bacterial infection that needed antibiotics. Staff were super friendly from the get-go, asking us for a selfie of our group for safety. That's the selfie you show on the way out so you're leaving with your same party members. My only suggestion about this is that the location provides a branded selfie wall or something so you still have a good picture! Used coupons to save on 2 1-hour passes and then a 1 hour pass for myself (separate transactions). Enjoyed the play time being by time and not by credits. Kids had a great experience and I saw a staff member disinfecting game machines while we were there. Very pleasant place to come while on our second week of BC March Break.

Lots to do for little ones. For a fee, kids can use the small bright play structure (easy to supervise the whole space from behind the mesh boundary). The fee includes admission to the small trampoline area. With that said it wasnt crowded even on a Friday night. A staff member stands outside of this play structure and trampoline to ensure you have a wrist band which proves you have paid. He opens and closes the gate for kids to enter and exit. A selection of arcade games - some with you tickets to redeem for prizes and some just your standard video arcade game. Typical selection of prizes. The Chuck E Cheese mascot comes out every hour, for a dance party. He walks around holding up a sign that reads "follow me" and leads you to the centre for a party. There is an interactive dance floor where this takes place and a large screen from which you learn the dance moves. Chuck -E can definately use some more pep in his step. He wasnt enthusiastic (at least at this location) at all. In fact of all the staff, I only observed one (the one leading the birthday party) to be friendly and enthusiastic. The rest of the staff were either too serious for a kids play place, unenthusiastic, not very friendly, some even strict. As I was wacthing my kids play in the play structure, I repeatedlyheard what looked like someone from management checking in with the staff member manning the play structure saying things along the lines of "make sure they have a wrist band". Pizza wasnt anything special. Chicken wings were ok come plain with plum, bbq and ranch sauces on the side. Their birthday cake was surprisingly really good.

Parking is fairly easy and the facility is accessible although some exhibits are not. Also, when we visited some of the exhibits were not functioning. The exhibits that were working were therapeutic for adults and fun for kids. The pictures accurately depict what you're going to see. IG photo stations are available for that perfect viral photo. There is something for everyone. For my infant daughter is lulled her into a deep sleep. For my son, it gave him lots of fun adventures and for the adults, I wish they has a spa that incorporated some of those elements (that's how relaxed I felt). I don't know how long the exhibit will be in the city; however, definitely worth a visit.

Came here once, wouldn't come back again.
