This is my Saturday and Sunday morning go-to coffee shop! At first I wasn't sold on this place, because I didn't think the atmosphere was cozy enough. The more I went, the more I fell in love. They have a very friendly staff, they are quick, and there are always people inside! It is an awesome place to do work, set up your laptop, and study. I think its cool to see the crowd change as the season changes, and now they even have a smoothie shop outside for the tourist season! They have delicious coffees, sandwiches, fruit, and baked goods. The turtle muffin is so good, and the white chocolate raspberry scones are so incredibly good. I really enjoy this place, and my dog even knows that when we go, she gets a doggie bagel! Keep on keeping on! read more

Tried their BBQ pulled Pork sandwich and their Island Hopper fruit smoothie. Sandwich was very tasty and portion size was very generous. Their fruit smoothie was to die for - best smoothie I've ever had...will be coming back soon! read more

This is a coffee shop that I used to frequent in high school! It's basically exactly the way I remember it. Not a lot has changed over the years and I even was able to order one of my old favorites off their "crunch coffee" menu - the Coffee Toffee! I do notice they have dairy free milk alternatives now which is amazing! They have nice booths to sit with friends to chat or even bring some books/laptop to study. Pricing is relatively cheap as well. Two private bathrooms in the back hallway. Street parking available! read more

The guy cashier was absolutely fantastic! Super personable, friendly, double checked my order, and knew the menu when I had questions. I got the iced berry chai for something different and it was actually really good. I'll recommend this place to friends when they visit! read more

Great coffee shop in Grand Haven. Their speciality coffee drinks are really good and I enjoy their breakfast sandwiches too! I make it a point to come here whenever I visit. Service has always been so kind. read more

This is a great little spot in the heart of Grand Haven's downtown tourist area. If you are looking for friendly service and delish coffee than you have come to the right spot. Not pretentious or fussy and certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in this part of the world. Their bathrooms are also very clean and they have seating areas inside. read more

Cool vibe. Needs a little help with the ambiance- could be the drop ceiling. But the coffee is great and the guy that took our order was extremely nice. Good sized menu with tons of options. I had the Drunken Frog and loved it! I would defiantly grab a cup of joe from there again. read more

Waited in line Sunday morning for 20 minutes for breakfast burrito for three people and they say oh we are not serving breakfast sandwiches today. Major fail. read more

Great staff, friendly atmosphere, and great coffee! Would highly recommend the Firebelly! read more

Jumpin Java - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Grand Haven, Michigan

It is a solid coffee spot for sure. I also picked up a few bags of beans. One ginger-spiced apple that is different, and the standard west Michigan Traverse City Cherry. Both had awesome odors. Both were good blends, but I liked the Cherry much more. read more

Jumpin Java is the younger kid hangout in downtown Grand Haven. You'll bump into skateboarders, and high school/college students, but I don't necessarily mind that because they're generally harmless. it's surprisingly quiet, mostly because they have tall partitions between the booths, which give you privacy for working. The coffee itself is not premium and it's not outstanding, but it's not bad either. I guess the best way to say it is: "It'll do." They offer sandwiches and sweets and oatmeal and fruit, which is convenient in downtown Grand Haven. I'd rather give them a 1 1/2 Rating based on the environment, because the building is uncomfortable and the atmosphere is weird, but I can't give half-stars here on Yelp. For example: for several weeks last the summer the air conditioning was broke and instead of fixing it they opened the front doors. It was like a steam bath in there. Also, the ice machine frequently broke before the owner finally got it addressed. I don't know that the owner really wants to put in the effort to make this place more appealing to business people and more mature clients, but maybe that's not a terrible thing. The youngsters need a spot too. read more

Friendly people, primo coffee ( Magnum)... Coffee priced comparably to the several other coffeehouses on that street, refill is cheaper (1/2 price of your coffee size). They had the house bkend and several flavored brews, plus the usual assirtment if lattes, coffee drinks, hit, iced and padtries, good sized bagels, etc. Free wifi, easy to get on. read more

The employees were very nice, the tea was good, the scone wasn't good, but it's the atmosphere I found most disappointing. It's big, no carpeting, a lot of seating (which is good, though it was pretty empty when I was there), but it just feels like this big, cold, cavernous place. Nothing cozy or charming about it at all. The scone wasn't really a scone. It had the taste and texture of a sugar cookie - kind of chewy and too sweet and made with dried cherries instead of cherries usually used in baking (like tart cherries. Just not good. read more

A cute little coffee shop in the heart of Grand Haven. Great customer service! I asked for a almond milk latte with honey in the espresso. They didn't have honey in a bottle but they did have honey packets and they made that work :) the women's bathroom so out of order currently but the men's bathroom is gender neutral anyways. The only have 1 size for their iced coffees. The iced drink we got was very good! we will stop by the next time we are in town! read more

In a recent three-day trip to Grand Haven, my friend and I ended up here each day. Every time we got an iced coffee (not cold-brewed, but still good!) and played Mancala in the game corner. Not much to say about this coffee shop, other than it does a good job at offering a place to work (plenty of people with their laptops or holding meetings) as well as a place to socialize. The coffee is ridiculously cheap (half the price of Starbucks, about!). We did get hungry and order one of their paninis -- unfortunately the paninis were a little light on the meat and cheese. For a quick place to relax, check out Jumping Java -- and their board games! read more

Good coffee. But not amazing coffee. Sat inside (a very friendly place to sit) and watched it snow.

Dirty, unfriendly, coffee only so-so, muffins were excellent but the sandwiches were just gross!

I had a pretty gross iced latte here today. This place definitely doesn't offer super high quality espresso. If you enjoy Starbucks or BIGGBY, this is not like that! I managed to drink about a third of my drink which was a disappointment. Giving 3 stars because we didn't try other things they offer so I am not comfortable going lower. read more

Great service and coffee! My pumpkin latte was delicious and the staff was very helpful and friendly. An awesome stop for a busy afternoon around Grand Haven. read more

I will be making this place a regular stop. The smoothies were very tasty. The "Italian Job" panini was great. The menu has endless possibilities. The coffee drinks looked yummy! read more

Coffee isn't bad but I ordered an iced coffee, the girl asked if I wanted to try the new cold brew, I said sure (which is $2 more than iced coffee), then I heard the girl making the coffee say "we are out of cold brew can I just use normal iced coffee?" to the woman who took my order.... So I was charged extra for a regular iced coffee after I was asked to try the more expensive option.... seems pretty shady to me read more

This is a really cute store in the middle of "downtown" Grand Haven...the staff were super friendly, and I loved their hot chocolate!! I haven't had their coffee yet, but that will be on my list of to-dos next time I'm in Grand Haven. read more

nice clean place for a great coffee or hot chocolate and pastry. Always a very young (HS) crowd that uses all available outlets for their laptops, so I rarely stay inside. read more

Cute little coffee shop in downtown GH. I love the names on the menu! Peace Frog is my favorite drink.

Great coffee morning or afternoon... Have never been able to drink 4 espresso shots in a row, but did here-they're that smooth. Music is a little loud in the pm for my tastes but some people might like it. Morning at 0630 is very nice, and quiet; they have everything ready to right when the door opens, and are very cheery and welcoming. Will go here again! read more

Love coming here every time we're at our cottage. Great hot chocolate with real whip cream..yum!!

Honestly the best place to get coffee. They call me by name and can casually talk whilst the barista makes the fine coffee beverages. Decent prices and high quality coffee. I'd take it over the Starbucks drive thru any chance I got. read more

Awesome ambience & decor, love the frog theme. Coffee is always full of flavor no matter what drink & they offer a small amount of snacks & sandwiches. It is a popular hang out for the youths in Grand Haven so after 2pm it can get crowded but it's right down town so you can walk & sit elsewhere quickly! read more

Sorry to say, but this used to be my favorite place to get a coffee and Muffin (Boston Creme). But I went to do my payroll and have my muffin and coffee on 12/9/16. When I asked if they had any BC muffins the worker said "I don't think we have those anymore, we switched where we get those now". I was instantly disappointed. But I still decided to have a muffin. I chose the raspberry cream cheese. But i cannot tell you how unhappy i was. It was dry and hardly had any of the cream cheese filling. It was so bad I had to tell the cashier before I left how unhappy I was. (Not my normal style) I hope enough people complain to get the old muffins back. Otherwise I will have to start heading to Brooklyn Bagel to get my muffin and coffee. read more

Took a vegetarian panini to go. It was just ok. I thought the vegetables inside seemed still raw and the steam had not cooked them.

A good little coffee shop in Grand Haven. The drinks were great, and there's lots of pastries and cookies and whatnot. The outdoor seating on the main street is nice for people watching and easing into your day. Walk over to Hostetter's first to get a paper or magazine, then go to Jumpin' Java for your coffee. The place is a bit antiseptic inside, it needs more of a coffee shop feel to it, but now I'm just being picky. It's a short walk from the boardwalk, so get your caffeine and go! read more

Great place to meet up w/a friend. Nice food choices for lunch or just a pastry to go with coffee. New Owner, Erin will be offering gluten free pastries in the next few weeks. Hooray! Atmosphere is very pleasant and clean. I'll be going back soon read more

Good food and great Chi Tea. Nice place to relax if you can find a table not occupied by one teenager bogarting the table with their computer. The shop needs to implement a multi person per booth ruling. Or a no homework at the table rule. read more

My girlfriend and I are avid coffee drinkers and heard jumping java was the best place in town. When we walked in the atmosphere was very nice and roomy. A great place to relax and drink some joe. The employees were kind and very helpful. But the best part of all was the coffee. My girlfriend got a iced vanilla late and I got the java chill with a cheesecake muffin. Wonderfully blended and the muffin was to die for. If you are looking for a great coffee spot or just a nice place to relax and get some work done come grab a booth and a cup. You will not be disappointed. read more

Clean, bright inside, lots of space, inviting staff and excellent lattes. One of my favorites if I'm ever in the Grand Haven area.

We stopped in for some coffee for our first time exploring downtown grand haven. Actually ended up getting the fruit smoothies and they were to die for!! Mango tango and strawberry passion both were perfect. Also love the paper straws. read more

We LOVE Jumpin Java!!! Their food is incredible and the atmosphere is great!! It is our go-to spot and we highly recommend it!!

Easy place to get a panini with kids among the hot dog and waitress service restaurants downtown. Best coffee downtown at 8 am, and also got to meet the mayor! He holds court many mornings at this shop. read more
