Friendly service and open seating in the Oddside. Nice to have real coffee mugs and not just to-go cups.

The staff here were friendly and the coffee was delicious. Also tried a breakfast sandwich that was equally great! The interior of this place has a cool vibe and was conveniently located if staying in or near downtown Grand Haven. Would highly recommend! The cinnamon brown sugar latte and coconut dream were fan favorites for our crew!

Great food. Great service! Great recipes! Great ambiance!…read more Last week was our first time dining at Village Baker. The food was DELICIOUS! We started with the Shrimp and Scallop Croquettes. Loved them! I ordered a cup of the Feijoada soup. It was very flavorful. However, it was too spicy for me. My entrée was the Turkey & Bacon Bruschetta. It was delicious. It appeared that everything is homemade at this lovely restaurant! (The bread, muffins, pizzas, soups, and desserts! Ya gotta love that!) If you're ever in Spring Lake, MI, stop in for a meal! You won't be disappointed!

We arrived mid-late afternoon and the restaurant was not busy but by the time our food arrived, Village Baker was pretty busy. The menu is huge but the blackened grouper sandwich was what my wife and I both chose. I was surprised how good it was because every February almost my entire diet is fresh grouper or mahi mahi. The dish here was definitely a worthy contender. Our friends ordered a Rueben and the Baker's Wife Pizza. Everything look so good. Since there were many items I'd like to try, we definitely need to come back. Service-Excellent. On our way our, we stopped at the attached bakery. Lots of really great looking baked items including scones, lemon bars, macaroons, tarts, cinnamon rolls, etc. So glad we discovered Village Baker.

My husband ordered sushi rolls. My hibachi meal came with a soup and a salad. I loved the dressing on the salad. You pick between fried rice and noodles, but I asked for both. Great flavor and great portions. Loved my tea with boba. It was one of the September specials for the month. The dining area is small, but it does the job. We can't wait to go back!

There was open seating with both booths and regular tables. The menu offers a wide selection of choices. We opted for the lunch sushi combo A: which came with a choice of miso or mushroom soup, house salad with a ginger dressing and your choice 2 sushi rolls from their special lunch list. We loved the mushroom soup and salad! The sushi we tried were the Spicy Tuna, Jalapeño Yellow Tail, Salmon Sushi and a California Roll. The Jalepeno Yellow Tail would not be my choice to order again, the other sushi was delicious. The best part of our experience and earning 5 stars for the restaurant, was our server. She was fantastic! Great service!!!
