I decided to go really wild and try the quiche of the day, a leek and bleu cheese quiche, as well as a bowl of the sweet pepper soup. With both items warmed up, it was just the thing to chase the chill in the air away. If the stuffed sweet pepper soup is on the menu when you visit, order it with confidence. It was the perfect balance of a little sweet a tiny touch of heat, and hearty enough to be filling. The quiche wasn't my favorite (I think I'm just too partial to a quiche Lorraine to be adventurous with other ones), but it was still good. Served with a cookie on the side, it was a filling and delicious meal. The owner was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for the menu and chit-chatting with us as we ate that day. At the end of the meal, she even offered to recycle my Diet Coke can from lunch that day -- the eco-friendly aspect definitely gave the place a boost in my mind! There's a downtown location and a south side location. The downtown location looks sooo good. Amazing vibe. Truly feels like you're inside a cabin / lots of wood, comfy furniture (and a variety of seating options), plus some dead animals on the wall (!). :) The coffee is solid. Sometimes really good - just depends what I get. Current special is honey lavender and iI'd definitely get that again. I usually like their seasonal latte option and usually their brew of the day. Service is always great. Parking options are street, parking lot behind the location, etc. lots of street options.
