I really dislike the owner Tarzan. He nickels and dimes people, and is just a terrible business person. He wasn't straightforward with any of the prices or rules relating to gym prices. I signed up for the $99 deal with unlimited two months to any of the Giant boxes (Edgewater and Englewood). I show up to a foundation class (beginner's) even though I've been Crossfitting for multiple years, and he sends me an invoice for another $200 for the class a week after I took my first beginner's class. What? I called the gym in advance and spoke with him on the phone before I attended the class, and he never mentioned that to me on the phone or in person while I was in the class he was coaching. This box does not make you sign any liability waivers like every other Crossfit box does. (Lawsuit waiting to happen...) Instead, Tarzan wants to manually confirm you've finished an On Ramp/foundations course with the previous box you were at. I have 8 email correspondences with him regarding this, and he snapshots emails of previous clients that haven't done this to send to me as proof. That's cool, not. His gym in Edgewater is overcrowded, so he tries to redirect as much traffic as possible to his Englewood gym. That's great but I didn't sign up to CrossFit in Englewood, I live in Edgewater and that's where I want to work out. He wouldn't accept this until I finished the Foundations class... I wouldn't give this gym another hour of my time, much less a monthly membership.

As difficult as the workouts are I find myself looking forward to my next class and I can't say that at all about my regular gym. CONS: Not the ideal gym at all. The free weight section may have a what you need, but only has 3 pieces of equipment along with dumbbells. This room can become crowded easily. Guests need to pay about $5 rather than being on a guest pass. OVERALL: This gym is all that you need if your someone who isn't a gym rat. It has the essentials in equipment and has a full basketball court. Thankfully to people who belong to the school, this is all for free. I suggest going to Retro Fitness in Hackensack if you want something more.

Mike is also really great as well. -Nice, spread out area and lighting, bikes are distributed evenly enough in such that it's a "no-judgement" work out. Negatives: -Variability of instructors. This can be frustrating when the price per class is $20+. You just kind of have to experiment a little in terms of who you book and then stick with them once you find out the instructor that fits well with you. -Minor detail but they don't have spin shoe rentals...This is the first studio I've been to that doesn't have them, but it's not big deal, their spin bikes have like a mini net thing that you can slip your sneaker into; however there is a HUGE difference b/w a workout with and without a shoe that can clip into the bike.

The daily feedback is a unique system that I haven't really heard of with any other trainer. I was never able to lose weight on my own...from so many failed diets and exercise routines, it felt impossible. I was really in a slump and was not happy with my health or my eating habits. But luckily, after finding Gilbert and this gym, I've been able to lose 7 pounds so far and it's only been a little over a month! (This might not seem like a big deal but is a great feat for me as I do love my cheat meals here and there :) ) I feel a difference in my body, my fitness level, and my overall approach to eating and exercising. I have been attending classes for the better part of the last year and every class continues to be different, fun, and has lead to measurable gains in my parkour practice. I have come to expect the high level of consideration that goes into every class workout and skill session as well as a high caliber of coaching supervision- this is the routine standard Nikkie maintains. I have been to classes with a dozen other members and have had the privilege of one-on-one sessions and both have been incredibly rewarding. In fact, these sessions led me to pilot Nikkie's jump training program. Nikkie took the time to consider my goals (improve horizontal and vertical jump distance) and she developed a 4-week workout incorporating evidence-based programming from other sports such as track and field. What resulted was a mix of plyometric strength training and bodyweight work that never got boring or monotonous and one that gave me a whole new sense of stability and technique that I had lacked. I would say that I'm surprised that even in a pandemic, my vertical box jump improved almost 6" and horizontal jump improved 5", but I can't- this is the result of Nikkie's usual high-quality coaching. I came to Wildly Fit with the intention of polishing some basic parkour vaults so I could practice on my own, but I've gotten so much more than that. These classes have helped me incorporate parkour into my fitness repertoire in the way I've always wanted and I'm far closer to the fitness goals I set for myself because of it. She is really pushy and relentless into guilting you sign up for packages because she has money issues and keeps talking about how she wants to grow her business. She does an excellent job of making you feel bad about yourself. She will say you she doesn't have money to color her hair, which made me feel awkward and bad for her as well. I have never had this experience with other studios. People do not wear socks like other studios, nor clean afterwards. If you want to catch something be my guest. It's really disgusting. The mats and reformers are sweaty and smell. Hope, the owner, who was my instructor, does not listen to your needs and concerns. I gave her a chance, explained what I did and wanted like my last studio, but she doesn't LISTEN. She is stuck in her own head and world. The one to one session lack the attention, decorum, and professionalism like my other studio. YOU CANNOT CONCENTRATE. IT'S SO LOUD AND A NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENT. ALL THEY DO IS COMPLAIN ALL DAY LONG AND GOSSIP. IT'S NOT RELAXING and it's sooooooo small of a space for group sessions and privates. The owner does spot appropriately and pulls your ponytail or hair instead of gently correcting her movement or position. She had a "so called funny anecdote" why she does so with clients, which is degrading and really awkward. If Hope (owner) is having a bad day, adult tantrum, or in crisis, she cannot control her emotions and the session becomes consoling her feelings and emotions, so your $80 session is DOWN THE TOILET AND YOUR TIME. You don't know what mood she is in. It's just super awkward. The owner is highly emotional, unstable, and unprofessional on so many levels. She does not have any professional boundaries and wants to get into your personal business. There are studios in Tenafly and Englewood that are so much better!! I didn't get a refund for the classes I didn't attend. I want warn potential clients because the reviews here are not reliable.
