The only reason I'm giving this place a 1 star review is because some of the employees there try to over charge people when opening up a insurance claim. They tell you a cost that's really high and lower the price little by little to see how much you would pay up. There's a guy that works in there with glasses he is the most reasonable person in there I forgot his name but I thank him for not over charging people. The other female employees over charge everyone like crazy the women referred to as the "Boss lady" will give you a higher start up cost then anyone else in there. And after you pay for your new insurance I highly recommend you check your bank account to see how much they exactly take out. You wouldn't be surprised if you see more then what they told you missing from your bank account. read more

I'm out nearly $300 because I had a rental and the girl didn't tell me that my insurance (KEMPER) covered rental cars so I paid that out of pocket. The KEMPER "agent " took forever to responded to the body shop that had my car . It was ready for like 3 days and he took his sweet time even when the body shop kept emailing/calling him .. the same day this issue was over and I got my car back from the shop I got a new car insurance. Estas estrallas no son para la oficina en general, son especificamente para una persona que trabaja ahi, su nombre es Erika , en diaz pasados asisti a esta oficina para aderir un vehiculo a mi poliza solo por un mes , tuve un cobro el cual cubria los cambios a mi poliza y la cobertura de dicho mes (julio), cabe mensionar que removi el vehiculo 8 dias antes de que se cumpliera el mes, pero cual seria mi sorpresa que me llego un cobro de mi aseguranza, entonces hable directo a la oficina de mi aseguranza y me dicen que no tenian ningun pago registrado entonces acudi en persona a la oficina de la calle 5 con la persona que me habia atendido y resulta que dice que ese cobro solo era para los cambios y no para la cobertura y que ella nunca me dijo que era por cobertura, en este caso es su palabra contra la mia, pero siendo honestos a cuantas personas les ha pasado lo mismo que pagan en la oficina y despues les llegan cobros extras y ellas solo se lavan las manos diciendo que eso del sistema que eso dice que deve y se tiene que pagar, espero que los dueños tomen cartas y traten de contratar personas honestas para brindar un servicio mas eficiente y asi tener la confianza de que lo que te dicen es la verdad y no tengas sorpresas en un futiro, porque la confianza te hace recomendar ese negocio y tambien con gusto regresarias. I LOVE the customer service here. It's unlike any of the other Insurance competitors out there due to fact that Julios ( in Oxnard) is VERY personal with all their customer's. Every single time I call no matter who answers I have felt welcomed and attended to. The latest situation I experienced through my Primary Insurance carrier was troubling for my wife & I, we actually weren't sure if we would be retained by the carrier however because of Dilsia everything that we needed to happen happened - thanks all in part to Dilsia's attention to detail, and expertise! We just were informed by Dilsia today that we are "back on track" & that we still will retain our Insurance carrier which we we hoping would happen. I hope that the management team @ Julios Insurance in Oxnard realizes that they've put together a a great team of specialists & that they let their team know that they are doing an awesome job day in and day out for satisfied customers like myself. I would strongly recommend that if you are looking for a Primary Insurance Agency that YOU LOOK NO FURTHER Julios is hands down the agency you can find! Before doing any business with Julio's make sure to ask about their fees and request that they ONLY quote you policies from Insurers that DO NOT charge any cancellation fees. Be sure to go over the policy with a fine tooth comb before signing anything! I called them today to cancel my policy as my vehicle is in need of repairs which I can't afford right now and Wes told that I had to call the insurance company to do that. Called the insurance company to cancel and was told that I had to cancel with Julio's since the policy came from them. So I had to call them back to cancel and on the phone they told me I had to go into the office to cancel!! They then gave me a google voice number to text my info to. Now I am reading the document to sign and it says there will be a cancellation fee!! The document does not even give the $ of the fee!! I texted them back and the said it was $50 fee to cancel and that the insurance company is the one that is charging it!! Crooks I tell ya! read more

I have Reliant, because it's affordable, and I usually avoid Julios at all costs, but I had to change the lienholder on my insurance after I refinanced. Initially went to the location near Robert Ave. Apparently their internet was down so I came to this location. I don't think that I was asking for a lot. The whole time the agent, seemed annoyed and like she was going out of her way to do me a favor. There's no customer service. Instead of focusing on your flashy advertising, please consider investing in some customer service training for your employees. read more

I called for a quote. I got put on hold for a few minutes which was fine. But then the lady asked if it was ok to have an agent call me back. I said yes, its fine. I waited for maybe 2 hours. Then when I realized I hadn't heard back, I attempted to call, only to find that the office had closed for the evening. New business is not a priority for them I guess. If i could rate 0 stars I would. I have encountered bad buiness practices in my lifetime but this place is the worst of the worst. Staff is very illequipped to deal with the general public. I DO NOT HAVE Julio's insurance but I was forced to deal with them due to the fact that I was hit by one of their policy holders. I'm not going to go deep into specifics but this business is as unethical as it comes. They're employees are working under conditions that i doubt are within California nor Federal labor law. They're overworked and under trained. I asked to speak to a supervisor because the young lady on the line had no clue as to how or where they file their information etc. This is scary within itself since their dealing with customer private info and for them not to have a clue as to what their filing system is or where signed documents are stored is scarry. When I asked for the supervisor the person on the line stated she was busy. I left my info for are call back but didn't receive one. I called back the next day and again asked for the supervisor and this time the same young lady from the day prior answered as "the supervisor". It was a horrible experience dealing with them. Please be responsible and go through a insurance company that is reputable so you are covered and the people you put in danger are covered as well while your driving. read more

I called to make a payment over the phone as I was going to be at work all day. The first time I tried calling was at 5, they were too busy so they said they would call me back in 40 minutes. I waited past 40 minutes and tried calling again. Same thing, this woman told me she'd call me back in 30 minutes and I explained I had already been waiting 40 minutes for a call back, she didn't even get my name or number. I called back 10 minutes to 7 which is their stated close time. I was on hold for 5 minutes and she said she would call back after 7 is when they call people back. I asked so you're going to call back in 5 minutes? Guess what it's now 7:20 and no calls and no one is answering the phone. Never had such a bad experience with customer service. read more

This place is a joke, customer service mean that you keep your customer happy with what they paying for not only welcoming them in the door- I purchase a motorcycle insurance from them with AEGIS and couple weeks later i receive in the mail another bill from them after paying them in full because at the time of the purchase they did not do their job of looking in my driving record, This is not keeping your customer happy - i went back for them to fix it and they told me to go figure it out my self because they are not able to help me void the bill, this is worse customer service i have receive. This is the last time i do busisness with them-never again will give this people my bussiness. I had just bought a car, and needed insurance to take it off the lot from the dealer ship, when I arrived the girls seemed nice, then the girl that assisted me, showed me some figures on how much I would need to put down, it was an outrageous amount too expensive!, it didn't seem like she cared if I got insurance there or not. I had told them if them if they would work with me I can give them a check, the girl went to go ask another girl and that one said no, I wasted my time there, as I left each of those girls said bye " have a nice day" wow, it made me feel as if they were taunting me since they didn't care to seem if I left as a happy customer, I called another agency who offered me a great deal, faxed over the policy to the dealership, and I was able to get my car that evening, don't go to Julio's, their able invest so much on advertising, because they charge so much to their clients, I told my friends and co-workers not to go there, the ladies need to work on their customer service as well, I agree with the other bad review. read more

Like OP said, I also had the displeasure of dealing with Julio's insurance. While Julio's insurance has a cheesy advertising campaign with big chested women, cheap cars with ludicrous upgrades and bumper stickers you need to know Julio's insurance is a middleman like a travel agent. They match you with a company and make a commission. In this case you get what you pay for, and $15 a month (or whatever it is) may be enough if you get pulled over but will NOT cover anything should you hit someone. My real insurance had to fix my car because over the course of a month I was never able to get ahold of the representative assigned to my case even after leaving her a message with my specific work hours. They "attempted" to contact me in writing when I involved my insurance. I received four letters one day numbered 1-4 with the same postmark date each saying they have tried in the previous letter to contact me and if I continued to be non responsive they would consider the case closed. Run from any insurance company that advertises the savings over the quality. read more
