This isn't about this Agent but the company I have a serious issue with. Back in 2021 I was in heavy traffic on the 10 in Los Angeles with stop and go traffic when a young kid was doing high speed around all the traffic. I got clipped by the young kid who came from the passenger side lane then to the driver side and went back to the passenger side in front of me when I was hit by him. I called GEICO and filed a claim. Next day the adjuster called me while surrounded by people in line in the bank. I asked her if it was ok to call her right back when not in line. She said ok and I called back 20 minutes later and found out the adjuster listed me at fault without getting my side so my rates have been insane since. If this sounds like a great company representation... maybe they will fit. read more

This office is located in Oxnard, CA. at the shopping center where you can find Buffalo Wild Wings and Hook Burger. The office is set up nicely because, you walk in and someone is immediately available to help you. The customer service is 100! You don't have to wait forever to speak to someone. Did you know it depends on what policy you pick that's going to provide better coverage. Of course, the more you pay the better coverage. Thankfully, we always get amazing service by Anival Viveros. If you are looking for someone knowledgeable and full of integrity---he is your guy! DO NOT USE GEICO FOR INSURANCE! On Sept. 1st A drunk driver hit my 3 month old car and geico refuses to put it back in new condition. With no fault of my own, I have to pay $5,000 out of pocket because geico will deny every claim! I have also pay for uninsured motorist insurance through them (which the other driver WAS uninsured) and as of today I still won't have my car until November! Geico is refusing to pay for the licensed quality work that needs to be done on my car! just to save them a couple extra dollars! After being unpleased with service from our adjuster we elevated it and called the regional manager Scott, who was unhelpful, condescending, and just flat out rude to me! This review is about Geico Insurance not this agent. Every time I compare Geico prices to my independent insurance agent, Crusberg Decker, my car insurance quote is about 50% higher and my home insurance quote is about 10% higher. In addition, I feel bombarded by Geico advertising. (1) I get mail, that raises Geico's cost which has to be passed on to the customer and hurts the environment. And (2) get emails that done allow me to unsubscribe. It seems something is wrong with the website. So, if their prices are significantly higher, they are bad for the environment, and they won't listen, why would anyone use them instead of going to an independent agent who can arrange better prices and doesn't frustrate their customers. If you are in Ventura County, I recommend Crusberg Decker in Camarillo. They have done a great job for me for 20 years. read more

I don't know who needs to hear this, but everyone says if you're a veteran you need to go with USAA. My experience with Geico has been great! When exwife and I were sued in small claims court, Geico provided a top notch lawyer to come to court with us. And USAA's quote is $25 MORE than what I pay per month for my 2020 Dodge Challenger SXT! CANCELLED WITHOUT NOTICE AND SENT TO COLLECTIONS. I had been a Geico auto customer for 10 plus years and even added home owners insurance. All of a sudden I received a collection notice from collection agency I called Geico to see what happened. My auto insurance had been canceled because for some reason wasn't able to collect that months fee and they sent me to collection agency. NO PHONE CALL, NO LETTER, NO EMAIL to try to collect fee. The only way I found out may auto insurance had been cancelled was because I received a collection notice. Funny thing my homeowners insurance with Geico WAS able to collect. THEN auto department wants me to pay a $25 fee to reconnect. They gave me no notice that they couldn't withdrawal payment AND no notice of cancellation. THIS IS ILLEGAL THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A LONG TIME CUSTOMER! And now they've lost a valued customer over $25. read more

Geico would not help me recover my repair cost. I have had Geico Auto Insurance for over 12 years. I had an accident and called Geico. They investigated and told me I was not at fault. They then told me the other driver claimed it was not her fault either. So bottom line was that I had to pay my deductible of $1000. They insisted it was not my fault and that my rates would not go up and it was not reported to state as my fault for the accident. They blew me off and told me I would have to sue in civil court to have her company, State Farm, pay for my repairs. I could not believe they just refused to help me and I was on my own. I kept calling them and insisting they help me recover my repair cost. They did nothing. read more

For motorcycle insurance on my 2017 KTM SDR 1290, first of all, when I called Geico, in Oxnard, Cassidy, Geico Rep answered the phone immediately, and she was very upbeat and extremely customer-centric. I had called four other insurance companies for motorcycle insurance and they simply directed me to their website, no human taking my info. So Geico Cassidy made it a great experience, and in a few minutes had a quote and policy, and a great price. 25 % lower price than any other company. Nice people, but please be Careful! Our Homeowners Insurance Policy was cancelled due to one of their agents not following through on their end. Not due to lack of payment, but due to emailed pictures she requested from us and apparently didn't get processed, or was simply forgot about. As a result, 31-days later our policy was cancelled. And we found out via a letter in the mail 2-weeks later. So we had no homeowners insurance during that 2-week time period. Try the "Auto Club". Better customer service, and, reliability. read more

I followed the prompts on their automated answering machine and selected "sales" to speak with them about a new policy. The phone rang and rang, then I got no answer and left a message. I looked at my computer screen where I got their phone number and realized that they were 10 minutes from closing, and I was like, these guys purposely didn't answer their phone! So I called back but this time I selected "customer service" to see if they would answer this time, and they did! I asked my questions to them regarding the policy quote and they put me on hold, ALL THE WAY until they closed and then HUNG UP ON ME!! Nope, you do not deserve my business. I have had my insurance with Geico Local Office and Greg Mauk for 4 years. First it was just my car insurance, then I bought a new van & truck. He was super helpful and made it easy! Then we bought our first home and a tri-plex rental. Greg was again very helpful and made it easy and less scary than I thought it would be. I've referred Greg and Geico Local office to my brother and two friends... they have had very nice experiences too. Geico has been an absolute nightmare. With the claims process being limited to an App there is no capacity for nuance. My claim has been stalled for 10 days because the repair shop Geico assigned me has two locations in my town. I mistakenly took my car to the wrong location. Although the shop graciously took the car in and the estimator photographed and and submitted the appraisal the Geico automated system didn't have the capacity to accept it from the second local. I have spent 90 minutes on three phone attempts to Geico to speak to a human, to no avail. NO ONE has EVER answered the phone. Finally, in defeat, I had to reschedule the appointment and will have to take the car in again to have it appraised. I intend to switch to USA insurance as soon as this annoying and needlessly time consuming process is over. I DO NOT recommend this company because they are beta clearly testing complete automation of their systems (and blaming COVID) and it doesn't work!!!!!! Stay away. read more

I am an active handicapped person who got rear ended by a Geico customer in December of 2019 in my brand new SUV. The power chair and the lift got damaged but the car seemed okay. It took me more than a month and a half to get them pay for the replacement of the chair and the lift that got damaged in an accident that they accepted 100% liability. Not being knowledge, the adjusters (two from two different offices) were assigned and one never showed up to check the car and the lift. It took me several frustrating calls on a weekly basis, talking to different agents and then supervisors to process the case. They were delaying because they wanted 3 estimate as if this was a car repair shop estimate situation! I had to call and tell them that this can be easily rectified if they go on line and check any mobility website and put the specification of the chair and the lift that was provided to them by model number, and pictures to get the exact price. The supervisor by the name of Justin Jackson was the most unprofessional company rep that I had ever to ever deal with in 40 years of my career experience. My conversation with him on 02/18/2020 and his lack of ADA compliance understandings, and his denial of my car rental with special lift to be able to go to work while my care is being measured and looked at the shop is a classic example of his ignorance of the laws as well as reasonable accommodations. I had two conversations with him once in Jan and once yesterday, and on both occasions he was rude and sarcastic, and pretty much suggested that I am stupid to accept two weeks on the de-framing and repairs to indicate the frame and the hatch being safety for me to have the lift hooked to the frame. He also suggested that the bucket ends with him and that there is no way that he is going to pay for the rental car cost! ($1700 for two weeks of ADA van rental) He also declined the cost of $1200 to deframe and measure to ascertain the safety of the frame. ($1200). Today marks more than 2 months since my accident and I am yet to resolve this matter with Geico, and get paid for the additional costs that is resulted from this accident of no fault of mine. I have gone on ADA website and put a formal complaint. I have also called in and demanded to discuss the case with Mr. Jackson's Supervisor and I am waiting to hear back from him. I hope the conversation I had with Mr. Jackson is recorded so someone could use it for training purposes to advise and train Mr. Jackson on professionalism, as well as ADA discrimination issues that he certainly needs to have training on. During the difficult experiences I had with Geico, I had a few very capable professionals who did respond with customer service in mind, who could understand the level of frustration and did what they could to assist: Jessica at claims, Karen G the supervisor, Mr. Eric, Mr. Jackson's supervisor, all acted very professional, and tried to be understanding and resourceful. In general Geico is not good with claims, and handling claims when their clients are at fault. I hope this will help people to make their decisions intelligently when it comes to choosing Geico as well those who like me become involved with them indirectly due to being the victim of an accident. read more

Beware of Geico company failing to provide service(s) already paid for and trying to minimize serious recorded medical damage by real doctors (not the geico adjuster). Geico rep had anger issues, tried to be a bully by leaving harassing messages and suggesting exaggerated medical and car damage when police and doctors (hospital) indicated facts. Basically they're getting 4 stars for the quick and hassle free service. The company raised my rate by $100 without any explanation so I went in and asked why, she said it's state wide. As a long time Geico customer I decided to contact a local Geico agent to receive a personalized service on my homeowners insurance. I spoke to a lady, who at first sounded concerned and wanted to help me. She received all of my personal information including my credit card number and told me that she would call me back with a quote. After waiting and waiting, I decided to call her, she was never there, then I finally got a hold of her and she explained to me that she needed more information from me, was rude and condescending, I never received a straight answer from her and got tired of the run around. So I contacted Geico directly and explained to them what happened and they informed me that she has given me an incorrect "quote". Later that day my credit card company contacted me asking me about several strange transactions. I now have to clear it with them that I was not the one who made all those bogus purchases, what a nightmare! Stir clear from the Geico office in Oxnard!!!!
