Why must everything in CA feel like a scam!? If you fill out an application, you will receive a barrage of emails and text messages daily, begging you to complete your application and start a policy. This is shady and an obvious red flag. The agents will then lie to you to get you to start policy. For example i was told there was an online portal i could utilize for payments etc. Only after paying and starting the policy, you get the truth in texts & emails such as "There is no online portal for this program. All documents and communication are sent by mail only." this directly contradicted the lie I was told over the phone by someone trying to 'sell' me a policy. After I paid my year in full and canceled my existing insurance, I receive a text message with my new insurance ID cards and some basic info. Hidden in there was a warning that I would no longer be able to renew my registrations online, and each DMV transaction i conduct will now have to be done in-person. WTF y'all, I asked 2 different agents every question I could think of about 'how' this would differ from a traditional policy. The detail about the DMV was never mentioned!! The state is subsidizing this low-cost insurance, and PPI is clearly getting a sweet deal, without a care for their customers who they clearly view as cattle. As a former Mystery Shopper, I had a less than a pleasant experience, reaching out to Pacific Preferred Insurance Brokers, LLC. In our industry of Mystery Shopping we classify this business as : AVOID. 1) I call their AI multifunction answering service, I press the approriate digits, and choose their " California Low Cost Insurance program " I go through a couple more single digits, it puts me on a slight hold, and then hangs up on me. 2) Never argue with your customer! Instead of saying, " well we've been getting calls all day, so it doesn't seem to be a problem, you are here connecting with us now.... I responded, " Yes I am connecting with you now, because I tricked your system, and dialed 3, for New Insurance, so that I can connect with someone. " 3) Training opportunity: Next time the Insurance representative can say something like this: " We are so sorry sir, that you had to experience some kind of run-around on our phone system, I will forward your concern, immediately to my direct supervisor, and see where our system may be having issues, truly sorry you had to go through that. - How can I help you get in the right direction? " 4) I got better customer service at the L.A. County Jail, than a professional Insurance Brokerage firm. 5) The concern: I requested a Declaration of Current coverage. My new (potential) job, wants to know, that I have current insurance coverage. Not for their company to use, but to see that I am a responsible driver, but have current insurance. *** Note I made it very clear to the Insurance Agent, that I did not need the Declaration for any kind of UBER, or LYFT. And while we are talking on the phone, and YES! while we are talking on the phone. The agent sends me an e-mail, stating in writing, via e-mail, the the Low Cost Insurance cannot be used for any Driving companies ie: Uber, Lyft, etc. Mind you, my Laptop is open, and can see any new e-mails that come to me. Plus at the end of the e-mail it says, " CASE CLOSED " ..... What CASE? 6) So I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks before I get proof. I'll just sit here and starve. 7) Stop hiring Insurance Agents from PRIAMERICA, or the Welfare to Work program. read more

Sofia and Brytzy were amazing! Brytzy helped collect my data and was very helpful. Sofia was my broker and she made everything super easy to understand. She explained everything in great detail and made sure I understood everything before moving onto the next step. The process was super fast and I got my insurance activated the following day. She even stayed on the phone after hours to help me (I'm not suggesting you do this but I can't lie that it was super nice of her!). I called about a hour before their closing time and was worried it was too late or that I would be on hold for a long time. this company is not paying their agents enough so be careful when filling your application and talking with them on the phone. those agents will do their best to increase your premium so they get more comissions. The California Low Cost Auto Insurance require you to be continously licensed for 3 years. This is just to make sure you are not a reckless driver so you can qualify for a lower premium rate. I had to renew my license earlier this year and there was a small gap between the experiation date of my old license and the issued date of my new driver license due to processing time. And boom just like that, "You are not qualified for the lower rate because you are not continously licensed for 3 years". anyone with a common sense know this is BULLSHIT Monica. I only accepted it because im to lazy to cancel and starting the whole process again. Also its been over 2 months and my insurrance package still not arrived yet. Contacted them via email but no response. i mean you got the full payment already so who cares anymore right? As my uncle's car insurance premium has increased quite significantly suddenly, he asked me to check for better options. So I googled and found the California's Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program CLCA. After verifying his eligibility, I completed the online application for him and within the same day, we received a confirmation email and voice message from Pacific Preferred Insurance. We called back PPI office the next day and spoke with Lorraine V. who went through my uncle's application together with us to validate some additional details. Lorraine was very friendly, efficient, courteous, respectful, helpful, and professional in every aspect. The whole process took less than 15 minutes and at the end, my uncle got a new car insurance policy (liability coverage only) with a much lower premium than his original one. The first time I was helped, the agent was super kind and gave all the information, helped me through the process, I paid and she sent the ID card right away, but then after some months I had some issues with my car and I ended up cancelling the insurance thinking my car wouldn't work again, luckily it did, So I contacted them again and a lady called Alejandra Ramírez, helped to re apply, I explained her how I needed to drive that particular day and asked if she could please send me the ID cards, she said yes, and we went to the process, she sent the documents and signed them and waited for the ID cards since I already paid, but she decided not to send them, it was early in the day, and even emailed her, but she didn't replied, that particular experience didn't make happy with her service, I wasn't asking for something to bother, I paid and needed my car, but sometimes people like her don't want to be polite and think you probably are asking because you have something important to do, like in my case taking my child to the doctor in a rainy day, she instead just assumed it was ok to ignore me. So for her service is 2 out 5, preferebly talk to someone else. To Fix the issue, I called the next day and a total different agent was able to send me the ID cards by message, it was pretty quick. So in general, most of the agents are kind and understand your needs, but you may find some others that simply don't like their job and in so don't give a proper and professional customer service. read more

Amazing service! I was able to get vehicle insurance for my mother who is 64 in California. The staff was incredibly supportive and helpful to my mother & I on the phone. This is because: 1. Voicemail were left 2. Text message was sent after not answering the phone call 3. Email was sent after not answering the phone call With so many scams out there I felt so much relief to have all (3) forms of communication from the agent. I guess you get what you pay for - calling here I dealt with probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced from start to finish. The first representative was so bad I had to get off of the call and hold for another call just in hopes that I did not get her again, mind you. I am very respectful when I speak to any customer service representative, but the ugly attitudes were from the very beginning, for no reason smh.
