We pay for an extended plan which allows for a 100 mile at no additional cost tow. Fortunately we haven't needed to use this service more than once, but it easily covered the cost of the 40 mile tow to a repair shop in Ventura.

Once we notified Coastal that we were planning to switch, they called numerous times but could never offer better pricing. Then they apparently refused to notify State Fund that we were switching to another insurer, resulting in us being double-billed by both old and new insurers, and FURTHER refusing to cooperate with us in dealing with State Fund to get a refund, being very snotty on the phone and effectively hanging up on our office manager. Do yourself a favor and avoid this broker.
