He always got back to me extremely quickly, which showed me he valued me and respected my time. I never felt like Tim wasn't doing what he said he would do. He works long hours and yet, or maybe because of that, he was always available when I reached out. He is friendly and works his butt off to get you what he can! I cannot recommend Tim and Goosehead enough. I was so pleased with the service I received... it was refreshing to have someone follow through competently and not forget to do something or fail to respond. That's pretty rare these days. An insurance broker with accountability and veracity! You won't be disappointed.

Not being something I could exactly postpone, I was scrambling for help during health insurance's busy open-enrollment period. Arlette and Dulce were on the phone with me practically every day helping me figure out this predicament I found myself in, and within a week we had an action plan in place so that I would still have my OB for whenever I went into labor. It all worked out perfectly in the end, which was a HUGE relief for me. And all my thanks go to Arlette and Dulce. Ever since then, they've been my go-to for all health insurance ins-and-outs, advice, and enrollment. Always helpful, always efficient, and the best people to have helping you navigate this crazy system.

WARNING: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR AUTO INSURANCE!…read more I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company when it comes to auto insurance. In my experience, this company has demonstrated an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism, extremely poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. TWICE within the past year, we instructed them to replace vehicles on our existing auto insurance policy. Due to their failure to properly handle these requests, a pregnant woman with a young child was driving WITHOUT AUTO INSURANCE FOR TWO MONTHS, completely unaware that she was uninsured! We discovered this extremely serious situation purely by accident. What makes this even more disturbing is that, once the issue was brought to their attention, they refused to accept any responsibility, despite written communications that support our account of what happened. Their excuse was that they had requested confirmation by email. However, confirmation had already been provided via text message! Instead of acknowledging the mistake, taking responsibility, and working to resolve the situation, they chose to make excuses. This is not a minor administrative mistake. This is a serious failure that exposed my family to enormous financial and legal risks. When you hire an insurance agency, you trust them to protect you and your family. In our case, that trust was completely broken. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. If you value your family's safety, financial security, and peace of mind, I strongly recommend finding a different insurance agency.

Due to recent wildfire activity in Southern California, the insurance landscape has changed dramatically since the last time I shopped for Insurance - it's the Wild West out there! Learning the difference between Non-admitted carriers vs admitted carriers... Difference In Conditions Policies + California Fair Plan... Premiums 3 to 4 times higher than I have ever paid before, despite never having had a claim in 26 years... I made contact with and received quotes from four different alternatives, none of which seemed like the right choice for me and my family, nor did any of the insurance professionals I spoke to impress me... Until I stumbled upon John Knowd at Thousand Oaks Insurance! John returned my phone call within just a few hours - and over the course of the next few weeks, spent a great deal of time walking me through my options, making reasonable recommendations based on his experience and my property details. I never felt like "just another number" or as if I was being oversold. Quite the opposite in fact, I was left with a feeling that I was joining a team or a family, who had my best interest in mind, and who responded quickly to any question, comment or concern that I had along the way. While not the least expensive option I found, sometimes in life you just get what you pay for... And I found the coverage limits and premiums were fair - and most importantly, I am able to sleep well at night, knowing that I am adequately insured... Not to mention, that I have a principal like John who will be there every step of the way. Highly recommend... We have now bundled all of our Insurance needs with Thousand Oaks Insurance. He then confirmed everything in an email so that I would have a written confirmation for my records. In a day when most interactions with insurance companies are fraught with unintelligible voicemail trees it was an absolute pleasure dealing with Gus.

I had to cancel my insurance two days after I bought it from this insurance agency. When I called…read moreto cancel, they said that they couldn't cancel it yet because it hasn't shown up on their computer system and they couldn't give me a refund on my credit card either. This is a dumb computer programmer who can't manage to write a basic program to end the enrollment process before it starts. Instead, the cancellation and refund process have to get more complicated and require more work. The agent I spoke to said that they will mail me a check and it should arrive in 10 to 14 days after cancellation. I had enrolled in the first week of July and it is now July 29th and I have not received my check in the mail. I would have rather they give a refund credit on my card but, apparently, that is too complicated and no one can manage to figure it out. How are these people qualified to run an insurance agency? If they aren't able to handle a policy cancellation effortlessly (even before enrollment), how in the world are they going to be able to handle claims if a house catches fire or if someone gets into an accident ?!
