The ambiance is warm and inviting, and one thing that really stood out was how the waitstaff worked together as a team to ensure everyone had a great experience. Tyler, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. Be sure to make reservations! They open at 5:00 p.m., and because they're located near the beach, the restaurant fills up quickly with both locals and tourists. Three people in our party ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Piccata and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you choose the angel hair pasta, I'd recommend asking for a little extra sauce since the pasta tends to soak it up. I ordered the Blackened Seared Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo, and it was outstanding. The Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and silky smooth, perfectly coating the pasta and seafood. From the excellent service to the delicious food and relaxing atmosphere, Villa Palma is definitely a restaurant I'd recommend for date night or any special occasion. We'll definitely be back!

Charming, eclectic, eccentric, glamorous, glittery and magical, there is something interesting to look at in every direction. The atmosphere has so much personality that simply walking through the door feels like the beginning of an experience. Chef Scott is incredibly talented, creating dish after dish from a remarkably small kitchen with an always-evolving menu, and somehow everything that comes out feels thoughtful, beautiful and made with genuine love. There is an artistry to the food here. The flavors deliver just as much as the presentation. We started with escargot, prepared two different ways, and both were absolutely delicious. From there came rich, comforting soups, fresh bread with seasoned butter, and a crisp salad before moving into the entrées. The seafood dishes were beautifully prepared, delicate where they needed to be, rich where they should be, and accompanied by simple but flavorful vegetables and sides. Our server, Todd, only enhanced the experience. He was attentive, friendly and had such a wonderful personality. He knew the menu beautifully and was unbelievably helpful throughout the evening, answering questions, offering guidance and making us feel genuinely taken care of. Service can completely shape an evening, and Todd made an already special experience even better. What I especially love about Scott's on Fifth is that it doesn't feel like a restaurant trying to duplicate anything else. From the décor to the plating to Scott himself, it has its own identity. It is quirky, intimate, elegant and just a little theatrical--and that is exactly its charm. There are plenty of places where you can have a good dinner. Scott's feels like somewhere you go to have an evening. Beautiful atmosphere, genuinely wonderful food, exceptional service and a chef whose talent is evident in every plate. An easy 5 out of 5. Absolutely fabulous.

They have a board you write your name on a whiteboard with the number of guests with your party. Our waitress Erica was great. She suggested certain foods for us and she was spot on. My wife had the Highlife dog and I had the Johnny O dog. The taste was great. The atmosphere was great with the surf stuff inside the place. It's literally near the beach and a very soothing place. The burger itself was decent, but the patty-to-bun ratio was off. The bun was good quality, just way too big for the patty. I'd honestly rather see a smaller bun so the burger doesn't feel like it's hiding. On the plus side, the toppings were on point--just the right amount of lettuce, onions, and sliced tomato, which helped pull it together. My wife ordered the Swap Chicken Goofy Foot, which is their plant-based chicken substitute wrap. Her take? It was okay. Not bad, but not impressive either. It tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a meat-free chicken swap in a casual beachside spot--edible, simple, and forgettable. Too much other stuff in the wrap. It didn't wow her, but it also didn't offend. Would she order it again, probably not. That pretty much sums up the experience. No frills, simple, decent food, decent ambiance, and great service. The wait was minimal and the meals arrived quickly. Excellent service! This isn't the place you go for culinary surprises--it's the place you go when you want something easy, reasonably priced, and reliable near the beach. I would give this place a try, just keep expectations in check.

This place may not look like much from the outside, but once you step inside, the old-Florida atmosphere around the piano area completely changes the experience. It has a romantic, classic vibe that makes it perfect for an evening out with someone special. The service was absolutely excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out surprisingly quickly. The drink selection is great, and the cocktails are well made, taste fantastic, and definitely do their job! The live piano music really sets the mood for an evening of fine dining, drinks, and conversation. The food was very good, with both steak and seafood options that hit the belly just right. Definitely make a reservation if you want a good table, especially near the piano. Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food, and a memorable night. I would absolutely return!

We arrive on time for our reservation. We are greeted, if that's what you want to call it, by a tall older man. I swear he looked at us like, can you really afford to eat here? So the initial interaction was rather poor. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so maybe he just had a bad day. Yeah, apparently not. The place is very pretty and certainly airs of a higher end establishment. After Mr. Snooty took us to our table, we were greeted by, ready for this, and even more snooty lady. Think Mrs. Howell. It's kind of like going on a date with a psychiatrist, knowing that they are judging every word that's coming out of your mouth. Lol. So after getting a lay of the land from her, we ordered some drinks, which were fantastic. Then the first course came and it was fabulous. We had the escargot and the oysters Rockefeller. Yum. The Escargot was buttery and soft. The oysters were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. We tried a lobster bisque and it was so so good. The touch of sherry was perfect. As for the Caesar's salad, this was the star of the evening. It was one of the best I've had and is what a Caesar salad should taste like. I am seriously considering going back there just for that salad. For dinner my wife had a lobster tail. She reports it was excellent. The snooty lady wanted me to try some special they had, but I went for the lamb chops. Again, perfect, medium rare. Winner. Snooty lady went uber obnoxious snooty after I didn't pick her choice. I was scared for the rest of the night. Overall price to food value, negative 100 billion. Food was fantastic. $250 for the portion sizes not worth it. Then again, even if they were bigger, not worth the price. Like I said, go for the salad and pass on the rest. Make you car payment and go to a more reasonably priced place that won't treat you like you need to have a credit report or occupation that they might approve of. Oh and they had some nice live music. That was good. Too bad, the staff put a damper on the birthday dinner.

With such a prime location right on the beach, it feels like it could be an incredible restaurant and a serious revenue generator, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like much has been invested into the property. I was surprised to hear that it supposedly has the same owners as Dijon's Restaurant up the street, which has a much more polished and upscale feel. The difference between the two is pretty dramatic. During our visit, a lot of the staff seemed to be standing around waiting for customers, and the whole place just felt like it was missing some energy. The outdoor dining area is dated and not particularly inviting. The windows and exterior show plenty of wear from the beach weather--which is understandable in this location--but the overall space still needs some attention. If you do eat here, I'd recommend staying downstairs. Upstairs had more of a pool hall/dude-hangout vibe and definitely wasn't where I'd choose for a romantic weekend dinner with my wife. This feels more like a beach-day, grab-some-grub kind of place that happens to occupy the building of a much larger restaurant. There's a ton of potential here, but right now, they're really missing the ball on what this location could be. Probably would not return unless the place gets a significant refresh.

Got to the restaurant and the elevator was not working so we had to sit downstairs where it is stuffier and less of a view. The menu for breakfast had changed and was meager!!! I had the avocado toast. Nothing special. My husband had the pancakes. They were fluffy. The server was gracious, the hostess could really careless as she continued to lean on the podium. Asked about the menu online and was told "yeah, it changed awhile a go, but the owners haven't updated the website." We will now be looking for a new family tradition.
