This can be hard to do, especially since I have ethnic hair and about a decade of vivids, henna color, and other experiments in my hair. I came in with blue and purple fun hair. This is my hair after two sessions and she's done a great job delivering on Grey blending. She found an ashy beige that would work with blending in with my silvers. She really understands color. They found an opening for me at their 2nd Street location and were incredibly gracious about the mix-up, which I really appreciated. The entire staff was friendly and helpful--especially when it came to navigating parking (which, as you probably know, can be a challenge on 2nd Street!). That extra level of care made a big difference. Brook did my hair and was amazing. She really knows how to work with long hair and gave me beautiful, well-blended long layers. I checked in a few minutes prior to my appointment just to make sure that I was arriving stress free. Upon arrival they confirmed my treatment and provided me with a little baggie for my jewelry and a quick survey to complete for my specialist. I was given clear instructions as to what to expect and was shown where the restrooms were (which I think is super helpful). Right on the dot, my specialist Tracy greeted me with such a calm and happy demeanor. She led me up the stairs to the treatment area above the salon and was completely mind blown as to how much of a transformation from the downstairs to the upstairs was. Tracy led me right to this cute little sitting area where she prepped the foot soak and then checked to make sure the water was the appropriate temperature and then asked if I would like some water or tea to drink. I opted for the tea while I was resting she had me preview some essential oils for use for the facial massage... and the rest is history... because after that... I was completely in la la land. I woke up with soft hands and arms, soft feet, destressed head and shoulders, hydrated face and a cleaning scalp with hair that you just want to run your fingers through. 10/10 would do this again... maybe even 2 weeks from now. That said, they were blended nicely. - The color is red/orange which bothers me more than the cut. I said multiple times I didnt want red or warm... my whole head, not just the highlights, got toned a fairly strong red hugh. I invested in blue and purple shampoos trying to tone it down. It helped a bit. I did give her feedback but I don't want to go back to get it fixed because I've been back once already and I'm not confident in her ability to fix it at this point. She did offer to try again. I think i gotta wait this one out a few months and then get a trim and/or tone from someone else. Facility was cute and clean, free parking out back. It's hidden in a little shopping center and quite honestly I probably wouldn't have given it a try how to not read the reviews and I'm really glad I decided to try them out. Myla -I think that's how you spell her name cut my hair. As she was doing it I wasn't sure what the outcome would be but once she was done and she blow dried it to give it a bit of a style. It looks so beautiful. She cut about 3 inches to get most of my dead ends out. If I'm ever in the area & I need a haircut. I would absolutely come back again.
