I went to Julianne once in June prior to a trip and she did a great job. Honestly some of my favorite lashes. I booked her again a month later and she cancelled the night before with no explanation . I thought that was strange so I messaged her asking why the cancellation and if there's another time that works better for her - no response. She never responded or gave any reason for canceling . I've been coming to Julianne's Vanity for over 3 years! Upon arrival, you must wear a face mask. Her pup will also be there to say hello as well (super cute!). What I love most about Julianne is her ability to create something from nothing and be able to listen to my personal life problems (lol). She's a great listener and will give advices if you want. I remember coming back from NY for school and my lash artist over there f up my lashes leaving me bald spots. Julianne put my real lashes in "lash rehab" and was still able to give me the look I was looking for while not damaging any of my real lashes. She is very knowledgeable in this industry and will answer any of lash questions. I have received so many compliments regarding my lashes every time I go out or when I am at work. I went to Julianne from Jan to May. Let me start by saying the positives. Julianne is very very talented. She is fast and she is good! Her volume set really last more than a week. When she's done with you, it feels light, and your eyes aren't red. I can really vouch for her skills' And because she is good, and she knows that, her respect for peoples time is NONexistent. She prioritize you based on how much you gonna pay her, aka she will cancel you to go to do make up at an event or fake being sick then you see her dm posted outside a few hours later lol In 5 months, I never cancelled, I was 5 mins late one time and 15 mins late, she had 3 appointments ran over into mine which I didn't mind at all, I don't mind waiting either, just honor my appointment. She had 6 same day cancellation. 2 food poisoning, 4 cancellations cus she's wasn't feeling well (one end up being her bday celebration, one time, she cancelled in am saying she's throwing up then I saw her Instagram story she got dresses to go out) then the last time, 6th time, I actually got to her place, she wouldn't open the door and said she didn't send me any reminder text so my appointment was not confirmed. I screenshot her text to her, she didn't apologize for forgetting to add that to her book even though she confirmed with me via text, and completely flipped on me like why did I come if I didn't get a reminder text, if I don't get a reminder text my appointment wasn't confirmed. And that was to make up a cancellation from the week before lol. Then she offered me the next day appointments (Friday), I'm so glad I didn't take it because guess what? she canceled all her Friday appointments that morning, that evening she posted her "perks" of doing make up at a wedding. I understand doing event make up is probably more profitable, but when you run a business and when you have existing customers, you should honor their appointments and respect people's time. I drove a hour and half to her every time, sometimes she would text me when I'm half way there to tell me she has to cancel. It got to a point that she cancelled so many times, I had to prebook weekly appointments for 3 months out cus you never know when she feels like she's sick or have food poisoning again lol. And when the retention is bad because she kept canceling, she wants to charge more for your lashes cus now you fell below her 40% retention so you have to pay for a full set lol. Like I said I was a great customer. I was so good to her that I supported her price increase just after seeing her 3 times, prebooked weekly appointments 3 months out (I'll post here) and she used to post me on her story showing ppl that. And still. No professionalism at all. It's like she knows she's good so she doesn't give a F about your. She made me feel like she's doing me a favor by doing my lashes. Like who are you? You aren't nowhere close to being a celebrity lash artist. And with how you treat your customers, you will never make it in a service industry. And yes, I have all the receipts aka screenshots. I can vouch for the review down below. I thought I was the only one. So julianne does a great job on the sets she does IF you're able to actually get in with her and she doesn't cancel your appointment. I booked my first appointment with her back in July. I was going away on my vacation that Friday afternoon. My appointment was confirmed at 7am, I'm about to park outside her house at 6:45 and she texts me that she's not feeling fell and had to cancel me. No "I'll try to fit you in later today", NOTHING. I end up going to someone else that same day to get my lashes done but was super disappointed with the outcome. When I was back from vacation I booked another appointment for Julianne to remove the lashes I had done by someone else. I went in, and I did appreciate her informing me about lash health and she suggested I wait for a new set. About 3 weeks go by, I have my appointment set with her and she texts me that another girl had the same lash situation as me and hers weren't ready yet so mine weren't either like how would you know or compare my lashes to someone else? Anyways, I get another appointment for a couple weeks after that because I have a wedding to attend. Guess who cancels AGAIN? I end up with no lashes again. My friend follows her as well and I told her she had cancelled on me because she was "sick and might be covid" and she laughs and says she posted on her story 2 other sets she did that day. I thought ok maybe they're old sets. She ends up texting me to rebook a couple days later and because I really liked her work and wanted a set done from her I accepted. I FINALLY got my lashes done with her, everything turns out great and we set up my fill appointment a couple weeks later. The day comes, again she has to cancel an hour before my appointment. Tells me she can do the next day at 7pm, again cancels. I'm with my friend this day so we go on her page and guess what? She has the audacity to post herself getting her nails done? Are you kidding me? And to top it off I can't see that on her story bc she literally went to block me from seeing it so she can go get her nails done instead of honoring my lash fill. At this point I gave up, I was going out of town that weekend. She texts me on that Friday and asks if I can go in on Sunday 9am. I agree to give her ONE last chance, I move my plans around to make it and guess who cancels AGAAAAIN an hour before my appointment? Saying she was driving back from sac and she wouldn't make it. That was it for me, she does a really good job on the sets she does but she is the most UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE lash tech ever! If you have a big event coming up don't depend on her to honor the appointments. I'm getting married in a couple months and can't even imagine her canceling on me right before my wedding and leaving me lash less lol You're a small business owner girl, your customers and your reliability are some of the most important aspects. Been going to Julianne for about 3 years now and even from the first appointment I could feel how passionate she is about her business. For 3 years I've never felt the need to take a break from lashes because she truly cares for clients lash health and adjusts to every clients lash needs. She always goes above and beyond to cater to her clients and I swear I come out of every appointment feeling like the best!! She's the sweetest ever with the best music taste and it's always such a vibe! I'm the type of client who loves a good lash nap and Julianne really creates such a safe and relaxing environment and I just be waking up with the most beautiful set. This lash tech should be getting "ZERO" stars. She is UNPROFESSIONAL & Inconsiderate. I previously wrote her a good review after 2 times of seeing her, and then she started canceling on me the day of every time I booked. I was literally at her house on time ready for my appt & She then cancels on me!!!!! She told me so many lies on why she canceled. The one that got me was she had a "power outage" I checked pg&e in her area & there was no power outage. Juli's lack of communication and her unreliableness is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Juli canceling on me 3x and not communicating at all has made my experience horrible and lost me as a client. Very hypocritical Juli has a 50% charge cancellation fee within 48hrs of an appt but cancelled on me 3x within 48hrs. She Inconvenienced me last minute & knowingly. This is a poor way to run a business & she wasted my time. if you're thinking about booking with her RECONSIDER!! I also find it funny how she talks about energy and she treats her customers like this. Side note: her reviews are bogus Bcus they're generated where you can only write a review 1 time.
