Instead of showing me to the shelf, one of them just pointed vaguely toward an entire side of the store and said, "That will be over there." I spent several minutes wandering around unable to find it. It was disappointing to see staff prioritizing a personal Starbucks delivery over actually helping a guest on the floor. The Recovery: Everything changed when I went up to the front and spoke to a cashier named Helen. I showed her a photo of the product, and she didn't just point--she immediately told me exactly where it was and then walked over to assist me personally. She checked in to make sure I found everything I needed and was incredibly professional and kind. Final Verdict: If you visit this location, look for Helen. She is an African American woman who clearly understands what real customer service looks like. She saved the trip, but management should definitely look into the floor staff's lack of engagement.

What made it more frustrating is that I had reward points available that could have been used toward my purchase, and I had to remind her about it. That's something staff should normally mention to customers so they can save a few dollars. I also noticed that right before helping me she seemed very bubbly and friendly with other customers, but when it came to my interaction the tone was completely different. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with the same courtesy and professionalism as everyone else. Customer service should feel welcoming and consistent for everyone. I hope management addresses this because experiences like that can really leave a bad impression.

The sales associate was really unhelpful and insulted my foundation, saying I apply it badly. I left offended, without buying anything. My mom goes to this store often to get facials and buy Shiseido cosmetics, so I decided to come here. The sales associate was very helpful and helped me look at different shades and we finally agreed on one that was the best match for my skin tone. My consultation was with Dr. Scott Chiang regarding several skin concerns. He explained all the different options and the pros and cons of each. For example, he explained there is a higher risk of PIH after fraxel with Asian skin. In the end, I decided to have a few small bumps (about 4-5) on my face removed via laser. If I did it that day, my consultation fee would go towards the cost of the procedure. The procedure took about 5-10 minutes and with each zap, Dr. Chiang would say, "that one's gone". The procedure was painless and with the after care instructions, everything healed in about 5 days with no scabbing. The bumps are gone and my face is smooth. Dr. Chiang referred me to an esthetician, Dana Schrieber, for my other skin concerns. Dana was also fantastic. On my first visit I spent about 45 minutes with her. She went over all the different options, and even let me see some of her own personal pictures from her own skincare journey. In the end, we decided to try the Obagi skincare system. She said I can email her anytime, and I'll have another check in with her in about a month. The price for the Obagi products through Kaiser is pretty much the same as the online price. I know there are online esthetician services, but it's nice to have someone I can see in real life taking care of my skin.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Claire's in Southland Mall…read more According to the store's posted hours, they close at 7:00 PM. My daughter and I returned specifically to purchase an item we had seen the previous day, so we knew exactly what we wanted and would have been in and out quickly. We arrived approximately 12-13 minutes before closing, but the security gate was already completely down. I could clearly see the employee at the register closing out the register. We knocked to get her attention, and she looked directly up at us but chose to ignore us and continued what she was doing. I also have timestamped photos showing that the store was closed before 7:00 PM, as well as the employee looking up after we knocked. None of the surrounding stores were closed yet, which made the situation even more frustrating. If the posted closing time is 7:00 PM, customers should be able to enter and make a quick purchase until that time. Closing nearly 15 minutes early and refusing to even acknowledge a customer standing outside is completely unprofessional. After reading the existing reviews for this location, it seems this may not be an isolated issue. Management and corporate need to seriously address the customer service and operating practices at this store. My daughter and I left disappointed and took our business elsewhere. Customers should not be ignored or turned away before the posted closing time, especially when there is clear timestamped documentation showing exactly what happened.
