I scheduled a 2:30 appointment. First time at Juli Nail Salon. Still had to wait 30 minutes for a mediocre (at best) powder manicure. Kept telling me a few more minutes. So disingenuous. My regular nail place was closed for vacation and I needed a Mani/pedi. I saw Juli Nail Spa and then place is immaculate, based on that, I assumed the service would be the same. It was NOT. My Manicure looked like one my 10 year old granddaughter would give me. Then, while my toes were drying (wasn't sure if they were dry or not) another woman came and put my socks on, said my nails were dry and ruined a not so perfect spa pedicure which I paid $45 for. When I asked her if they were dry she said, "yes". They were not. Didn't bother going back to complain because nobody spoke English. Stay Away. Head's up... they don't sanitize (even when their tools fall on the floor). Really. Spend 30 minutes here and look around. Nobody's tools are sanitized. It's hard to imagine just how gross it is so I took a pictures of a station. It hadn't been cleaned in quite some time either! I had an appointment. My fill in manicure and regular pedicure took THREE HOURS. I waited 2 hours for the fill in (with an appointment). Others had the same experience. They don't turn walk-ins away so appointments mean nothing. They don't even bother to apologize. My nails and toes came out awful and I wasted three hours and $100. The lotion they used was so greasy that I went home and quickly showered it off. Lastly, on my way out, I realized that I should have heeded the sign by the door. On the FLOOR, next to the entrance, is a dirty plastic bin with filthy water and two live turtles (also pictured). That should have been my first sign! read more

I make an appt. for a massage weekly and once a month I have a spa gel pedicure added to that service...its been a handful of times where they either tried calling me and since I couldn't answer they assumed they can give another customer my slotted reservation where I requested a specific employee, and when I walked in...they made it seem since I didn't call back that I wasn't going to my reserved appt. Or the massage room was disgustingly dirty having hair on the floor...God knows if they wash their sheets...and there's been a couple times I was changing to get undressed and they nocked on the door asking if I was ready and I said I needed more time to get undressed, and they oped the door...or when I went for my appt at 3pm, I was told just 2 minutes just minutes but clearly they were doing someone's nails with tips ...I just walked out. They have nothing I want, they are so unprofessional and take niceness for weakness...do youself a favor, DON'T GO HERE, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. If I could I would give them negative numbers instead of a positive star. read more

I found a $120 gift card that was given to me Christmas 2021 and decided to use it at this nail place today . I was told that it's too old/ expired. Now where does it say that there's an expiration date . I also have the receipt. I understand that it's 3 years but the gift card was never used . The owner said we cannot help you . So this $120 will just go to waste ? THIS IS NOT RIGHT! In today's economy no one should be doing this. This company just robbed the person who gifted it to me for $120. My first experience at juli nails was INCREDIBLE. I saw LaLa for my nails & Martin for my pedicure. With affordable prices the efficiency of the service was 10 out of 10. They were both professional & personable while doing my nails. I got a UV gel fill-in with gel polish on my nails and a lemon spa pedicure. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a clean, efficient and affordable nail salon. They're great at what they do & the staff is so welcoming that you would be crazy not to come in! Worst service. Should have know when a woman was yelling before leaving when i sat down to leave. After asking for UV Gel polish, They gave me regular gel. So hard to understand that when you put your nails in the dryer under the desk I didn't get what I wanted. My nails were extremely bendy and I have never had that before. After Juli Nail Spa underwent new ownership it's been a whirlwind of highs & lows. In the beginning, they followed in the footsteps of the previous owners with cleanliness, etc. I am not sure what has happened but they have been on a steady decline. In the most recent visit (which will be my LAST) I noticed the staff doesn't sanitize their instruments or use the individualized (new) package of files they use to pull out for every customer as they once use to do. Instruments & files are taken from the bins at each table which are then used for all clients & NOT sanitized before/after use. The pedicure tubs while in use have a plastic cover for each individual customer & after use, they would be quickly scrubbed & cleaned... now after I was done they removed the plastic protector did not clean the tub & just sat someone else in the pedicure chair I used. It should be industry standard everything is cleaned, sterilized/sanitized, etc. especially with people who get services for nails/feet may have a fungus, etc. The nightmare stories people share about infections they have encountered after going in for a normal manicure & pedicure service is alarming & disturbing. This is due to instruments not being sterilized & pedicure tubs not being sanitized & scrubbed properly. They really need the health department to come & inspect their facility. As if this isn't bad enough I have had my fair share of terrible interactions with the current owner, June. My last visit I used a $37 gift certificate I had recently received for Mani & Pedi & she had the nerve to ask her worker (in her language) to ask me if I had used it with a salon full of customers. Super embarrassing! I said no the receipt & gift card were in the envelope... she thankfully applied it to my total. Also, she is incredibly pushy with getting people to get UV Gel Extensions instead of the UV Gel Nail Polish.... while she is just trying to bring in business, she shouldn't deceive customers when they specifically ask if it damages/weakens your nail & will this require more maintenance. I was one of the unfortunate clients that believed her & it ruined my nails. The every 2-3 week fill in sessions are too expensive to maintain long term. So I removed after 5 months & she was being so nice trying to persuade me not to remove the UV Gel Extensions. When I persisted I wanted the removal, she then flipped to being short & rude alerting me that if I want them to remove it-- it would be $15. I said ok no problem I want them off & Leo removed it with the electric nail drill. It was one of the most PAINFUL experiences I have had. My nails looked terrible with indentations & lots of sensitivity. It took 3 long months for my nails to grow out all the damage from the UV GEL service. I've gone here numerous times for their spa pedicures and manicures occassionally. Unfortunately, the latest experience there wasn't the best. I went for DIP Powder manicure and it cracked within an hour after my appointment. I went back the next day and they "fixed" it. They even charged me to get it fixed despite how I just had it done the day before. Sadly, I noticed more cracks the next day. So I called ahead of time to inform them and was given the approval to drop by after work. I arrived and was told the wait will be super long and asked if I can return another day. No one wants to walk around with cracked powder nail polish! So I kindly asked if I can just wait for the next person to remove it. I gave my technician credit for being super detailed and that it may have been the top coat quality issue. I was offered to just have it buff, add another two layers and another top coat. I told them I didn't want to risk it and have to come back for a third time. The manicure didn't even last one full day! I just wanted it removed completely. While I understand they were busy, I waited 1.5 hour to have them just half heartedly remove the polish with residue on my nails. I spent a total of $60 (service tip included) for a disappointing voucher. To add on top of that, there has been a handful of times where I had to wait 30+ minutes for my appointments. But you witness them continue to take on walk-ins! Definitely a bummer! read more

I went in for a manicure and pedicure while visiting my parents who live nearby in Plainview. The pedicure was perfectly fine. Generally zero complaints, although my left big toe wasn't fully painted at the top (I got a light pink so it's barely visible unless you stare really close). On the other hand (pun not intended), I got a powder manicure which was far from a pleasant experience. One of the men did (apologies for not catching his name) and I kept pointing out spots he missed. He kept assuring me that the spots would be fixed after each dip coat...unsurprisingly, they weren't. When he got to the buffing stage, he could tell something was amiss (which I was pointing out all along) and he had to get someone else to step in and fix his subpar job, which added another 15 minutes to the manicure (which took more than an hour even though I didn't get fake nails or anything like that). I got the powder manicure on Saturday, by Wednesday, the middle finger on my right hand was fully off. By Friday, the pointer finder on my right hand was fully off. I can't believe powder (which is something to last 2-3 weeks) didn't even last a full week! Granted, if I went back to Juli's, I'm sure they would have fixed it, but as mentioned previously, I only went because I was visiting my parents (and I cannot drop in as I live an hour away). Have been several times now but for some reason seems to be going downhill. They had a great "grand opening discount" which went away recently however they also now charge for removal of gel or powder dip polish anywhere between $8-10. However i am writing this review because less than 24 hours from my appointment i have 3 separate nails on both hands chipping after getting uv gel which has never happened anywhere to me before so $45 later and they didn't last a day. The girl who took off my gel left me sitting at a station and went to work on someone else and never came back! I had to complain to the manager who didn't seem to care. Then they wanted to charge me $14! Another worker came over to finish my manicure. She was very nice and did a great job, but I was there almost 2 hours by now for just a manicure. I told the manager I will never be back, and told all my friends not to go there. I found a great salon, Glory Nails right nearby. I waited to write this review because I was so upset. I made a Gel manicure and gel pedicure appointment for September 17. They sat me in the pedicure chair 38 minutes after being there they started my pedicure after another 20 minutes. After my pedicure was done they waited another 20 minutes to start my manicure. I missed my next appointment and it made me late for the rest of the night. After three days ALL Of my nails had broke they are halfway grown out and still breaking as they grow they are extremely weak because they use the machine for 20 minutes to file down my nails for a gel polish manicure. DO NOT GO HERE- They do not care about your time and have ruined my nails. My nails have never been so weak in the 30 years that I've been receiving manicures. read more

I don't mind if they didn't have anyone available right away but they should have told me how long I would have to wait. Then, I could make a decision if I wanted to wait or leave. The place had fruit flies and turtles on the floor in a bucket. they have one steamer to use for spa pedicures my entire group had to share. The lady doing my pedicure left nail polish all around and was sloppy. They have a coupon online they won't honor because "they don't know how to take it down." They then offered for me to pay cash for 10% off clearly to probably get around some taxes. Then the lady was absolutely rude about a tip and made it seem like she expected more. I went in, without any appointment for clean-up manicure and I ended up with gorgeous UV gel nails - Leo did a fabulous job! That place is well-lit, clean, and very spacious with many different kind of polishes, gels, powder dips on the walls. And the bonus is that they have coffee! The lady was so gracious, she gave all the customers a bottle of water - she made sure we all are comfortable. Place is spotless, the pedicure was very relaxing and they were very welcoming. A little pricey, but everything was sanitized, opened from new packages and the pedicure tub was lined. The place is new. Very clean and relaxing. I've been there twice, first time for a spa pedicure and they used a steamer. I was not rushed and the technician was good. Second time I went different story. The technician was terrible. My pedicure was done in 15 minutes and she skipped steps. I had to tell her to file again because nails were uneven. Today I called to make an appointment and the lady on the phone was the sweetest person. When I arrived everyone there was so welcoming and kind. When I went to the pedicure chair, they offered me water and soda. The lemon pedicure was very relaxing and the lady who did my toes did a good job. For my nails, I had someone else and he did a terrific full acrylic set as well. They follow all covid restrictions and wore gloves, face masks, and cleaned each seat after each person left. The prices are about the same as any other place in Plainview, but all prices right now are 20% off. My nails and toes look flawless. My old nail place, Nails 2000, are rude to their customers and do a rush job, not so here. Here the people take their time and are so nice. This is by far the cleanest most health conscience salon I have been to in a very long time and it was quite refreshing. The staff was so accommodating and everyone had a smile on their face. The salon has several personalized little touches which I found very cute such as little snacks and an actual mini fridge with an assortment of drinks. They have an entire wall of colors and gel colors to choose from and about any embellishment you could ever want. I was very impressed with their assortment of pedicures and when I chose the lavender pedicure it came with an aromatherapy steamer. I cannot wait to go back and highly recommend. read more

I went to this nail salon total of three times. The first time was fantastic I sat down immediately and got an incredible manicure. The second time not so much, I made an appointment and sat in the chair for 40 minutes until I complained about the wait and the manager said 10 more minutes which was a lie. Someone finally helped me 20 minutes later. Their appointment system is extremely inefficient. I decided to give the nail salon a third and final chance but ultimately regretted it. I had an appointment to come in and get my acrylics off, they sat me in the chair and put tinfoil on my nails and I sat there for over 45 minutes while the technician went to go give someone else a pedicure. I waited my turn for the pedicure to finish but the technician proceeded to do the same women's manicure. I asked why he wasn't coming back to finish my nails. He said he didn't do that type of work but all I wanted was a regular manicure. He came over and started on my nails but it was clear that he had no idea what he was doing so I went over to the manager and said that this guy had no idea what he was doing and I was here for over an hour and 20 minutes and I just wanted a manicure and I wanted to leave.She continue to do my nails and gave me a quick dry.
