I've been getting my nails done for 40 years and I can't believe this place can stay in business. First of all it needs a good cleaning. They have shields between you and the nail tech and it looks like no one has ever cleaned them. They wear black outfits with white nail dust all over them. The girl who did my nails seemed angry and was insulting my nails. Afterwards when she lead me to the dryers, I had to ask her to bring my handbag. I brought my own polish and she just put it on the table, not in my bag. Forget about the little massage while drying. She said thank you and walked away. I gave one star because the salon took me right away as I was a walk in. The salon seems very small and not very clean. I guess it is an older salon so they have older stuff so that might show as being unclean?? The prices are reasonable, but they don't do a good job. I had gel x nail glue still on my nails and instead of the technician removing the entire residue that was left she just filed it down and then painted my nails. I can see the bump it left. they also weren't the friendliest as I was a new customer. So in order to keep me as a regular customer, they should have treated me a little bit better. The owner seems to look down on people when doing nails as I observed her. If you can go to another nail salon, then do so. The reason why I went to this one is because my dog was getting groomed next-door and I wanted to waste time. read more

As soon as I walked into the salon, I could tell I was not welcomed. The staff stared. Whispering comments. I was very uncomfortable the entirety of my visit. Everyone around me was White or Asian, I was the only brown person in the salon. The lady at the cash register seemed to be the only nice one. I sat down and the lady doing my nails did not want me to be there, even though I never said a word except "thank you". I looked around to see how friendly the staff was to the rest of the ladies sitting down except me. When she finished I tipped her and told her to have a good day with a smile and headed to register to pay for the service. As soon as I stood up she angrily said "that will be $35". I replied "Yes I was heading to the register to hand the lady the money". She yelled at the register lady telling her to take my money and make sure I paid. Mind you, all the other customers paid at the register. I assumed she was having a bad day and went on. HOWEVER, my mother went in a week later. She had a similar experience and said the staff were VERY rude to her and ONLY her. It's 2025 I never thought I'd experience such blatant racial discrimination. read more

Absolutely in love with this nail salon! I am so grateful my best friend told me about this nail salon! Jackie is absolutely amazing! I've been getting SNS done on my nails for a while now. My nails were breaking in the worst spots almost to the point of losing my nail completely. It was terrifying. Jackie and her manager explained to me that it is not a good idea for me to continue getting SNS cause it's damaged my nails. Every other nail salon I went to in the past told me that sns was best and helped your nails the most. But clearly not true for my nails. She recommended that I get gel done for them to allow them to heal, and grow out. She explained to me why gel was better for me. She said in the future all I would need is the uv gel filling. I truly appreciated that she took her time explaining everything to me and told me what would be best for MY sake not just the company's sake! She did an amazing job with my gel french nails I love them so so much! In addition if you are looking for a spot that is actually following COVID-19 protocol then this is your spot! I have been searching for the longest time and I could not find any spot that was actually properly following everything. This spot does appointments and they actually keep a seat in between you and the other customer so you're not right next to them & less exposed! I have been trying to find a good mani pedi place for YEARS. From woodbury to Plainview to Huntington and beyond. Came here just from passing it around 145 on a Tuesday and it was pretty packed but they took us almost immediately. It's not very serene but looked clean and busy so something was keeping this people coming back! The guy doing my nails was very generous, even getting new colors for me to try because I'm incredibly indecisive. I had to wait a few minutes between him doing my toes and nails but I'm in no rush. He didn't clean around my nails as much as I would have liked either, but other than that the color is on well and no rough edges AND he got all side of my nail with the polish, which for some reason seems to be a huge feat for people these days! I'd give it a 6- which is incredible compared to the 2s id give the other places I've gone to here... and update... ESPECIALLY since my nail polish didnt START to chip until about 4 or 5 days later, when normally my nails chip after a day or two. read more

If you had asked me a few visits ago, I would have given Emma's Nails 4 or 5 stars. However, today after receiving a regular mani/regular pedi, (total price should be $28)-- I was told that the total would be $33- an additional $5 to remove the previous gel mani polish...?? Huh? I have been to numerous nail salons, and never was there an additional charge to remove the previous gel polish! (Nor is it stated on their menu price list that hangs on their wall near the register) I refused to pay the additional $5, and told them that they would not be seeing me again. (mind you, the manicurist who I only used in the past, doesn't work on Mondays, and never charged me an additional $5 in the past) Needless to say, I will not be returning. read more

Very busy place which isn't a bad thing, because obvs people like going there, but I went for the first time and my pedicure felt super rushed and lasted maybe 10 min and then I got a gel which also went pretty fast but for some reason my gel is like becoming discolored and it looks like my pink nails are stained with brown. I don't understand, but didn't think gel could be difficult to accomplish. I was curious to try a color UV gel manicure. I was passing by their salon on the way to Pasteria, and I decided to stop in. I was greeted by friendly staff and a large assortment of colored gel to choose from. I chose gray, and the tech expertly applied it to my nails in a few different steps. I left with a beautiful manicure that was dry instantly. I didn't have to worry about my nails smudging, and the best part is that they will last over 2 weeks. The tech also set me up with my own box for nail files and emery boards. I will defintely be returning here again. read more

If I can give no star. I would. I Had the worst pedicure ever. The person that did my pedicure didn't even cut my cuticle or did any filing. It just went straight to scrub under my feet for literally 2 seconds. Then did the polish and it was absolutely the worst ever. The polish was all over my skin and the polish didn't even have a smooth finished. I had to redo it when I got home. This place is also more expensive than other. I understand it's a Saturday and it gets really busy but we pay a lot of money expecting good work. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place. Save your money. Theres better around. read more

This is a great no frills salon! Ended up here on a whim after long waits at other area salons.. Kim was great,polite and gave a nice manicure...for an $8 manicure I am very satisfied! The 10 min massage was nice as well..but they have no massage chairs so you are sitting at the dryers which kind of stinks ...but again ...no frills and inexpensive. Update on my review of this place. I've always had VERY strong nails, and getting regular mani-pedis in this place destroyed them. I noticed my fingernails were breaking and peeling and the nail tech would often put "glue" on my nails to try to keep them together. I took the nail polish off myself at home and was shocked to see pink spots on my nails that actually were painful when pressed. At first I thought I might be allergic to the nail polish they were using, so I switched to just clear in a bottle I bought. I stopped going for appointments, and started the process of letting my nails grow out. I have since located a nail tech that is associated with a podiatrist, and she advised me it looks like they were too aggressive with buffing and pushing the cuticle back. Since I started having the "gentle" manis and pedis she provides, there has been a great improvement. read more

Will never go back. Go in and one lady does my pedicure. Her customer comes in and tells her she didn't have an appointment but just dropped in. She sent me to another lady for my manicure. This lady had some puss on her face. Didn't smile for anything. People came in for waxing and they would leave who they were working with to do the waxes. My not so happy lady had a waxing to do so she rushed through my manicure. She put me at my drying station and said I will be right back. I finished drying, she came out and sat back in her chair. No shoulder massage or acknowledgement that I was still there. Left the tip for them two to figure out how to disperse it. Plus it was $28! Too much! Never ever will I go back. read more
