Usually a good experience, never had a problem until now. Went in tonight on a not busy night hoping to enjoy our usual. Tried to order The Avenger for 149.99 and substitute the mussels for shrimp but the server said it didn't come with mussels as I'm looking at the menu in my hand. So I asked for shrimp instead of the crawfish, she argues with me asking if I wanted the crawfish subbed for mussels. No ma'am I would like the crawfish subbed for shrimp. To which Kaliyah just stood there staring at me like I had 2 heads. Me not understanding asked again and she said okay I'll get that for. Our food gets to the table and there's a pretty large amount of crawfish so we asked and she said she subbed the mussels for crawfish. Me dumbfounded say that I asked for the mussels to be subbed for shrimp and you said it didn't come with mussels. She tried to compromise by saying she would take the extra crawfish off and put the shrimp on her tab. I said that would work and thanked her, she comes back to ask if we're ready for the tab, I ask for the shrimp and she said she never put it in so I asked for it to go. She comes back in 10-15 minutes with shrimp not Togo and said she put it on our tab for $21 and took the crawfish off. I asked for her to take it back because I'm done by this point. She comes back with the tab and it still has the extra crawfish on it, I'm so done by this point that we just pay for it. I love juicy seafood on college drive and this one did not disappoint. The seafood was seasoned really good and the flavors I choice complimented it very well! The service was okay, our waiter must have been new but he was very attentive to us and truly allowed us to take our time when ordering. I do wish the daiquiri machines were working when I went. We went around 12:30 and I wanted a square but it wasn't frozen yet which was a bummer. Overall the ambiance of the place was a 10/10! I got the fried shrimp basket and added onion rings for just a dollar extra (instead of the fries it goes with) and they are kind like burger king onion rings. Nothing special. (Was hoping for hand battered onion rings i guess). The shrimp were big but a little tough although the batter has nice flavor & they all but one was butterflied (dirt vein removed). Cocktail sauce is ok but I'm glad i had my own heinz ketchup packs for the onion rings. ( I don't like Hunts either, so yes I know I am particular.. and rather have smaller more tender shrimp...but it was after 9pm and my two other prefered nearby places were already closed. I do like the steamed seafood though so I'll be back for a lunch special. read more

All of the staff we encountered were nice. Our server was quick and attentive. The inside and outside were decorated on theme. Everything was clean and new looking. The food was hot and well seasoned. The quality of the seafood wasn't bad, but it also was not super fresh tasting. After a meeting, 4 coworkers and I decided to try this location for the first time. I accidentally headed to the College location and had to turn around; took me about 15 min to get there after my coworkers arrived. They were sitting at the front door waiting on me. They were told they couldn't be sat until the full party arrived. What? lol. The place was empty! There were at least 25 open tables, so other than being difficult, there's no reason they couldn't have sat at the table and had appetizers and drinks while they waited on me. They would have been at least 4 drinks in when I got there had they been offered a seat. A friend of mine was a contestant on Wheel of Fortune this night. We asked if one of the tvs could be put on ABC for a 1/2 hour to watch it, it was like we asked to set the place on fire. Huffing and puffing. We really put them out by asking. Then we asked for another table. He got mad and almost bumped into us to escort us to another table. My boyfriend and I came here on a whim. It was super clean. Zero wait. The music would not be something I would bring my 6 yr old to. However the food was GREAT. Me and my boyfriend got a 1/2 shrimp. We substituted the mussels for sausage. I don't know if it was the right move but now we know. We had 3 clustered of snow crab. 2 lobsters. Corn and potatoes. Took wife and MIL out for king crab, which is advertised as a menu item, per pound, at market price. Was informed that even though the menu still lists the item, "we don't do that anymore," and the only way to get king crab was a measly 1/2 pound as part of a $75.00 combo - no way to add more. Will never set foot in this scam joint again. Notably, the competing seafood boil joint 2 minutes Dow the road was happy to provide ALL menu items at a fair price. Our waiter was very nice and took our order. He came back with our orders and ( my first time here) shook the bags to get all of the delicious sauce on the snow crab clusters, shrimp, sausage and corn. This place has potential, but there are some major issues that need addressing. The food was excellent! We ordered shrimp and crab legs. Seasoning and texture was so good! They cook corn and potatoes with the boil, so they were also delicious. Food is on point! We waited about ten minutes for the server to come take our drink orders. We were ready to order starters and entrees by the time she got to our table. She was very friendly and helpful to explain the menu, best value, and sauces. I'm sorry to say, that was best part of her service. There were no drink refills until we flagged her down while she chatted with the other servers at the wait station. She was gone over ten minutes to get one drink refill and 2 to go containers. So, we flagged down another server to get the refills-the medium seasoning was pretty spicy and my 9 year old was getting a little desperate. We started to get worried when he didn't come back. She finally showed up almost 15 minutes later with to go drinks for everyone-nice, but we didn't ask for them. So, 5 stars for food, but man, the service just ruined it for us. Went to Juicy Seafood Seigen on 7/22/25 - spent $130. Service was slow even though not many people in restaurant. Didn't come by to refill our drinks & I had water. Didn't provide the crab crackers for the snow crabs or a real knife to get the meat out. Only have plastic utensils. They don't have splenda-only sugar & sweet n low. Asked for butter for hush puppies & they brought melted butter. Guess they don't have butter packs. Had to wait a while to get to go boxes and our ticket. Overpriced for what you get. This place might have the greatest seafood in the world, but we'll never know. Our first visit ( for my wife's birthday no less!) was cut short at the front door when we were told we could not bring McDonald's in for our autistic non-verbal son "because that's our policy"... even after I explained ( the obvious. His disability is very apparent). So apparently special needs children are not welcome here, and so there's no need for us to try to dine in two locations! No restaurant has ever had such gall! We crossed Siegan, had no problems bringing McD's in, and dined at Olive Garden. And it's delicious. ( special needs children are notoriously picky eaters. We are blessed that our son has a far greater diet than most, but it's still very limited. I hope the staff at JS burn with shame for such behavior) read more

The service was HORRIBLE, waited and hour and a half for my food which totaled over 200$. My tables drink order was done and sat on the bar for over 30 mins with people going all around me it, reaching over it and everything, to the point that I had to go and get my own drinks and carry them to the table. Then the manager was told of the problem and she dismissed every complaint as nothing. Needless to say the chicken wing appetizer was raw on the inside the chicken was inedible to the point we had to send it back in order to not risk poisoning the children we ordered it for. While the restaurant itself has a fun ambiance and the food has a descent flavor, I would not recommend because of the poor service. When we were first sat, we were greeted rather quickly, but were asked to move to a different table. It wasn't just a different table in the main dining room, they moved us to an empty room where no other guests were seated. Isolated. Now that we were alone, we ordered appetizers (fried cheese and hush puppies) that took more than 15 minutes to arrive. I asked if they have a children's menu (our child is 5) and was told that they do not have one. What kind of restaurant that has a pirate theme, or any theme restaurant, not have a children's menu? Fine dining restaurants have a children's menu! We ordered boiled crab legs, a shrimp cocktail (appetizer as an entrée) and I was forced to pay $14 for 4 chicken tenders when my kid will barely eat one. After 20 minutes or so, the boiled crabs were delivered, nothing else. Ten more minutes go by and our server hasn't come back. (I had to get up to find someone to refill my drink.) Another 5 minutes go by and our server asks how the food tastes. I tell her the crabs are good but the chicken and the shrimp cocktail haven't come out, which blame immediately cast on the kitchen for being backed up (the restaurant was less than 1/4 full). Finally, the chicken tenders come (10 minutes later). But again we have to ask for the shrimp cocktail to be brought to the table (another 5 minutes). We have been at the table for more than an hour and a half by this point. Once we were done, by golly, did that check come fast! I'm sure a lot of our frustration could have been avoided if at least once a manager happened to check on the tables. No one there so hold accountable. I don't think I have ever been a vocal advocate for people to avoid a restaurant as much as I have been for this one. We will not be going back and I encourage others to avoid the place. read more
