I've been coming here for a few years and never had an issue. I usually look forward to coming and don't mind waiting around when it's packed. However, after my most recent experience I won't likely return. The four teenage girls behind the counter were all extremely rude, gossiping and acting like I was an inconvenience. They made my bowl completely wrong and when I asked them to fix it, acted like it was the end of the world. I can get over a mistake because they happen all the time, but poor customer service is unacceptable. I will most likely make the drive to Reboboth moving forward. read more

Tucked away off the main drag -- would never have know about it if I wasn't searching for a good smoothie. Tried the Red Zinger, tart but delicious and hit the spot for a fresh fruit smoothie. No one else around when we ordered and the smoothies were prepped very quickly. Will definitely return next time I make it to the beach! read more

I have been to the juice box before but have never been so disappointed with my order as I was today. I usually get the açaí bowl & although the juice box has never been my favorite place to go for this, today was just awful & I will not be returning. Several young people were working the counter & although the service was fast, my açaí bowl came out more like a juice bowl. Extremely liquidy (which is not how it should be), only a tiny sprinkle of granola topping, hardly any bananas (I asked for only bananas instead of mixed fruit so I guess they just left out the other fruit & didn't think to replace the missing fruit with more bana, and the peanut butter topping was a small glop of cold hard peanut butter on top. My order was to go so I brought it home and put it in the freezer hoping for it to thicken up-however, it began to get icy so I ended up throwing it out. **Updated review: I decided to give the juice box another chance as it is the closest location to me that serves açaí bowls. My bowl was much better this time and there was a different group of workers who were much more competent; however, the service was ridiculously slow. When I arrived there was only one customer ahead of me. I ordered after her, then my sister ordered an açaí bowl as well as a sandwich, and then a mother/daughter ordered after, and then another couple ordered after that. Somehow, everyone else in the store received their order before me which I find very confusing and frustrating. Waiting 20 minutes for an açaí bowl was not ideal for my morning. read more

Came here after my mom and sister had gotten good açaí bowls a week ago and had high hopes. I received my bowl thinner than a smoothie, more like a juice bowl. I politely asked if they could fix it as I make açaí bowls at home most mornings and have eaten them more places than I can count and am well aware of how the consistency should be. They gave me my new bowl, just as thin as before, toppings sinking to the bottom. When I asked a woman working there who seemed like she had more authority could've been a manager if that's how the consistency normally is she impatiently answered "yes you got peanut butter and spirulina so they blended it so it's that consistency...didn't make much sense to me and was shocked that after seeing how think it was she didn't offer to remake it or a refund. Payed 9.50 so drank it through a straw. Smoothies and juices looked fine and good snack selection and understand mistakes happen but after sending it back and getting a rude response as if I was an inconvenience I probably won't be returning. read more

Sadly this place has gone downhill. I came here several times last summer and it was great. This summer (2018) not so much. We ordered a juice and smoothie - you know it's bad when you can't tell which was a smoothie and which was a juice, both were bland and watered down. I also ordered a kale salad. They continued to take and make other juice and smoothie orders while we waited for my salad. There were only about 6 people total there and it was 1:30pm so not peak time. About 20 mins passed and I was informed they were out of kale so they couldn't make my salad... we won't be back. read more

This small shop fills a gaping void that Bethany was crying out for - forget the choco syrup drenched funnel cake and dickeys custard and DB bucket of french fries. What if I actually wanted to eat delicious locally grown food that was (gasp) good for you? You know, whole grain, fresh beets and cucumbers and beansprouts? Watermelon and corn and peaches? Freshly juiced drinks straight from fruit? not drowned in high fructose corn syrup? If you had any of these thoughts, I beg you to come here and support these guys. Total ripoff!!!!! Wish I could post negative stars!!! Why? 9 oz small juice is $4.50 12 oz large juice is &6.50 1/3rd of small juice is 3 oz and should be $1.50. Large juice is a small juice plus 3 oz so at most should be $6.00 but here it is $6.50 Worse yet it's not really juice. They fill the whole cup with ice so you get very little actual juice and mostly just ice to make the ripoff worse. We are the biggest fans! As a family of health-conscious vegans and vegetarians this is the BEST place for us. The kids adore the Luca sandwich and I love the matcha latte. Delicious and healthy = win! We use them often when we're running out of time for dinner or lunch (we'll actually order and then save food for dinner since they close earlier). Highly recommend. I came here over the summer and got some amazing smoothies and sandwiches before going out kayaking. The owner was so helpful in telling us where to head out and she even offers tours and rentals. I was pleasantly surprised when we came back in the off season today to find them open and as their sign reads, they are 7 days a week ! The smoothies were still fresh and delicious and the sandwich was perfect for a day on the beach. Hope to see the JuiceBox around for years to come. Would not recommend. I got an red Zinger (orange juice, strawberry, banana, and pineapple). I spent $6 for basically a cup of orange juice. That's all it tasted like, store-bought orange juice. I saw her put other fruit in, but you wouldn't know it by taste. I won't be coming back. read more

Nice to have this option in Bethany but they do need to upgrade their açaí bowls. At 10$ a bowl I would expect more fruit than banana and pineapple (core mostly) on top of the bowl. Visually unappealing and overpriced considering filler fruit only. No shredded coconut or honey drizzle. The owners should google açaí bowl pictures to fully understand the ingredients and preparation. Smoothies looked good, nice staff, cool spot but just need to work on the bowls a bit. read more

We're on vacation and I'm pregnant and only can eat smoothies. Found Juice Box on Yelp and thought we'd try it out. Amazing fresh wraps for my husband and daughter and delicious smoothies for all of us. The wraps had incredibly fresh ingredients. I usually take those pink tomatoes out of my sandwich but these were red and delicious! And they made my smoothie banana-free since I have a banana aversion. They were very careful about making sure it was just an aversion and not an allergy. Great food and great service. We'll be back! read more

They are all organic with delicious smoothes/juices. I would recommend the mango madness, Berry-Luscious, and the green lemonade. I just found this place yesterday and we got 3 drinks, local honey, organic apples, and two chocolate chip cookies. I've been here 20+ times just in this year. I always have a huge order and Lisa (the owner) always recognizes my voice on the phone and greets me with enthusiasm. The wraps and sandwiches are all carefully crafted by Lisa and team and always a perfect combination of flavors leading to exceptional tastes. I didn't think a sandwich, wrap, smoothie or eating healthy food, it could ever taste this good. I live in Fairfax, VA, work in Washington, D.C., and visit my parents in Ocean View, DE and nothing in VA or DC compares. I know that Lisa's costs are low in Ocean View rather then getting prime business real estate in the main section of Bethany, but opening up a second juice box right on the Bethany board walk would be amazing and I think that she would be shocked with the amount of business she would get during tourist season. I would suggest Lisa speak with the owner of Turtle beach cafe and see the ups and down of business on the board walk. Nobody needs another beach apparel store maybe when one of these goes out of business the real estate will become available. I would definitely be a frequent visitor to the second juice box location if opened right on the Bethany beach Boardwalk. Lisa and here team are amazing and I look forward to frequently visiting this place again I the late spring/early summer. read more
