Blue Magic Smoothie
Fawn T.

This place has become my haven for lunch. I've become a regular, lol. The smoothies and bowls are absolutely delicious. It fills me up and gives me energy for my work days. I don't feel sluggish after having one of these bad boys. I recommend the "Blue Magic" for the smoothie.

One of two things need to happen soon: Either I'm moving to NYC or Juice Press is opening up stores in NJ. This place is like the ultimate juice store. The only thing that would make it better is if they made juices on the spot, upon request. However, they have so many damn choices! And they deliver! Their juices are organic & cold pressed. I will make it my duty to stop by here every time I'm in the city. The end.

Only reason I wouldn't give this place a 5 is because of the price to size ratio. So please note, this is not a 5 in terms of value. This is purely off of taste and friendliness of staff. Raw steel coat oatmeal: this is such an amazing pre workout snack. It is so so tasty, and filled with a lot of healthy high energy stuff. Kale chips: so much flavor for only 60 calories. Also surprisingly filling. Smoothies: I usually get the ****** genius or vanilla protein (without ice of course). Both are super good and a great quick, satisfying, filling meal. Overall a super place to go to for a quick filling meal.

The fridge full of awesome !!!

Super friendly staffer in this tiny (but not as tiny as some of their locations) JP location stocked with the usual juices and other natural stuff.

Tastes better than it looks. Kelp noodles and flax crackers

This location is XXXtra dope. They sometimes hand out free merch at the enda the day. It feels good cuz ya just spent 80$ on a drink n a pieca pie. Actually its not that steep. I love juice press. Theyre always there for me with a juicy solution to any dilemma. Got a hangover? Hangover cure! Need more veggies? Drink mother earth! Drinks for stamina, aging, energy etc. kinda pricey but everything comes with a price. Besides im addicted to decadent foods and luxury drinks.

Shortly apparently is a relative term. As in 15 min.

Why does this juice cost $8? Matcha Latte was not bad. There is better juice to be found in the neighborhood.

I recently enjoyed a date night at Willow. While an omnivore, I enjoy the culinary sensations of…read morevegan food - and Willow did not disappoint. The dining room is spacious and with a nice ambience between the lighting and artwork of willow trees. For dinner - I had the whiskey BBQ brisket and fries. The texture and taste of the "meat" was fantastic. Most meat eaters wouldn't even realize that they are eating plant-based brisket - it was that good! Our server "Teddy" was attentive, informative, friendly - and with a clever sense of humor. The price paid was commensurate for the quality of food and service received. Vegans, omnivores, and explorers alike - should try Willow Vegan Bistro!

SERVICE - located in Chelsea…read more - spacious interior with tables for groups of 2-4 people - reservations are not required though could be helpful if you do not want to risk waiting - great service! our waiter provided us with comprehensive descriptions of the dishes and drinks - food served relatively quickly - ambiance good for a semi formal meal MENU - french American bistro food - all vegan/vegetarian - slightly pricey FOOD - French dip (7/10): vegan grilled steak with provolone cheese, goat cheese, caramelized onion, and horseradish aioli on a toasted baguette served with a side of au jus dip and fries. This sandwich is usually not something that is available vegetarian so i was curious to see the flavors and textures. The steak is chewy and meaty so if you are not a fan of faux meat then i would proceed with caution. I enjoy the cheeses here as they are unique and different from each other. The sandwich overall was okay though not my favorite sandwich ever. - smoked Mac and cheese (7/10): macaroni with smoked goat cheese, cheddar, mozzarella baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with vegan pancetta and breadcrumbs. This was a cozy appetizer especially on a cold day. The flavors of the cheese are rich and smoky with a hint of saltiness from the pancetta and breadcrumbs. I would have liked it to be a larger portion and offered as an entree. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I liked the ambiance and the option to try dishes that are usually meat heavy but the cuisine is not my personal favorite.

Tucked away and worth the find! This little gem was near an errand I was running and glad I found…read moreit. The team members are all great! They take pride in their restaurant's offerings, as they should. My server was wonderful, offering suggestions to this first-timer. I started with a Volcano Roll - hearts of palm substituting for fish. Well balanced and delicious. Next was broccoli "beef" - fresh broccoli and shitake "steak" with mushrooms really balanced the dish. I ended with something so unnecessary and so wonderful, I'm glad I did it: The sticky toffee pudding. Just pure delight. It was relatively quiet when I was there. I could see how it could get a bit noisy if it were crowded. But even so, the people who visit are friendly and I ended up having a great conversation with the table next to me. I'll be back. I'm not exactly local, but it's definitely worth the trip! Planta is on my faves list now!

I am not vegan. If it weren't for our friends who are, and having eaten already at the kopino fest,…read morewe probably would not have gone. Funny enough, we met our only other vegan friend there. So, from the vegan perspective, this is a popular and tasty place. We started with drinks, being lunchtime, we opted for non alcoholic drinks, the matcha colada and the salty maple macchiato. The matcha colada had a nice color but tasted mostly like coconut and pineapple which was still yummy. Friends ordered 3 different kinds of sushi and dan dan noodles with tofu. I was confused with the sushi as I thought vegans didn't eat fish...so yes I asked and was told that they probably made the "fish" with tapioca. I did try a bite of each roll (I was still full from the fest) and I was surprised that it tasted pretty good. They did a nice job with the roll and presentation. The matcha cheesecake was nice and creamy. I would not have known it was vegan. I don't normally like food that pretends to be something else because it usually doesn't live up to the real thing. The idea is that it is not pretending to be something but rather substituting with vegan options, I do think from a health perspective, I am more open to trying more vegan foods. Ambiance felt upscale and wait staff were helpful and congenial. I hear dinner time gets packed here. I may have to try again when I have not eaten already.

The space was super clean, calm, and had a vibe that felt authentic to the cuisine. The staff was also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and fast, which made the whole experience even better. But the food is what really blew me away. I got the Korean Wild Green Tea First Picked, and it was unreal. Yes, it had that beautiful green tea character, but it was so much more layered than that--smooth, complex, almost naturally sweet, and honestly one of the most memorable teas I've had anywhere. I also ordered the iced matcha latte, and it was easily the best matcha latte I've ever had: no grittiness at all, just incredibly smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also had the baby dumplings in spicy sauce, popcorn shrimp, fried Manchurian cauliflower, spicy kimchi pancakes, Peking duck baos, and the duck rice bowl. Every single dish was excellent. I'm still baffled by how well they nailed the shrimp texture--seriously impressive. The flavors across the board were rich, creative, and satisfying without feeling heavy. If you're in Murray Hill and want a standout vegan lunch or dinner, or you're just looking for one of the best plant-based restaurants in Manhattan, Franchia is absolutely worth going out of your way for. Highly recommend.
