These guys are AWESOME and the food is AMAZINGGG!…read more Ok, now on to the details. We are in the area, trying to figure out where to eat that would be quick & tasty. Bombay pops up, is highly rated, and is just about a mile and a half away from where we were. We pull up, go in, and it's clean, cozy & bright. The servers are really kind. My friend's young daughter is trying to do vegan, and my friend has a tree nut allergy AND eats gluten-free, and they can accommodate ALL OF THAT! Yay! This is one of the best menus I've seen in the United States for Desi food, and true to Orlando style, they also have some "asian" dishes / cool combos of Chinese & Indian on the menu. I have never seen so many restaurants with two/hybrid/fusion menus as I have in Orlando! We got Hakka Noodles, Pani Puri, Masala Dosa, Palak Paneer & Chai. Pani Puri came assembled already and in a cute little wagon. Everything tasted amazing!! Tasted fresh-made with fresh ground spices & tasty ingredients. It was very reasonably priced, and the food came out fast. We didn't finish it all & they were prompt with the to go containers. Definitely going back. Thanks you guys!

The owner…read morewas genuinely kind, respectful, and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. Since they are newly opened, we understand they are still finding their rhythm, and the food came out quickly with fresh ingredients and great flavor, giving it more of a fast-food style experience. The goat curry was especially delicious and thoughtfully prepared. My only suggestion would be that the pricing feels a bit expensive, especially since sides are not included and the portions could be slightly more generous for the cost. It would also feel like a better value if a bit more rice were included, since rice is inexpensive and helps make the meal more filling. A small side salad would also be a nice addition? Overall, we appreciated the hospitality and care put into the food, and we wish this local business success.

Not sure if we were here on an off day but the food was not good at all. Ordered pickup for Friday…read morelunch. We got two combos combo, one was chicken tikka masala and the other was Shahi paneer. The paneer curry was so watery and thin. It really lacked flavor and tasted like water. The rice didn't seem like fresh basmati rice. It tasted like the parboiled bagged rice that you microwave for 90 seconds. I'm also not sure why the description of the combo says the rice is 24oz because although the container may be 24oz capacity, the rice takes up only half the container. The garlic naan was rock hard. I really hate leaving bad reviews especially for a locally owned restaurant but the food was really no good, to the point that I wouldn't even bother trying it again...

I had high hopes walking into Saffron Indian Cuisine on 7724 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando FL…read more especially arriving right at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday when the doors opened. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. My wife chose the buffet, assuming everything would be freshly prepared at opening time. To our surprise, every single item on the buffet line was cold -- from the rice and chicken dishes to the biryani and palak paneer. If a restaurant opens at 11:30, the food should be hot and ready to serve. Cold curries and rice immediately take away from both texture and flavor, and in this case, the dishes tasted flat and lacked the depth of spices you expect from Indian cuisine. Based on this visit, I would recommend skipping the buffet and ordering from the regular menu instead. Buffet selections often feel like the more economical options, and here they were devoid of the bold flavors that make Indian food so memorable. I ordered the chicken biryani from the à la carte menu. It was noticeably better -- aromatic and more flavorful than the buffet items. However, it still missed an important element. Traditionally, biryani is prepared by marinating the chicken and cooking it together with the rice so the spices infuse the meat and every bite is cohesive. In this case, while the rice carried some fragrance, the chicken itself was not well marinated and tasted bland on its own. It felt more assembled than thoughtfully cooked together. Another important point is pricing. The dishes are on the expensive side, and at those prices, the flavors and overall quality should be excellent. When you're paying premium prices, you expect depth of seasoning, proper preparation, and attention to detail -- not cold buffet trays or under-marinated meat. Service was the bright spot of the visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. Overall, not a terrible experience, but certainly disappointing. With better attention to temperature, flavor development, and consistency, this place could justify its pricing -- but on this visit, it fell short.

I'm convinced it's the best Indian food I've ever had and I've been all over the world. Honorable mention to their butter chicken, saag paneer, and lamb korma. Remarkable service as well. They remodeled the exterior and interior and it's like stepping into a part of India. They have a reasonably priced lunch buffet during the week and weekends. They offer a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian selections on the buffet so there's something for everyone. My favorites are butter chicken, tandoori chicken and a lamb dish that I forgot the name of. Don't skip their rice pudding dessert. It's slightly sweetened and is flavored with cardamom pods and other spices. Delish! The staff is always so helpful and will offer suggestions. Ask one of them to make you Indian nachos. You'll thank me later.
