I believe that person that's nice to you but not nice to other people is not a nice person. Had a female emergency and needed to use the bathroom. Stuff rejected to give me a bathroom password even when I said that I still gonna buy a smoothie after. They were looking at each other first (to see whether or not to allow me to use bathroom) and then one Russian looking guy started talking to me rudely with long intervals like if I was stupid "you have to buy something and see a code on your receipt". Do you have to buy something yourself when you go to the restroom?!!! I didn't want to wait in a line of 100 people or take my drink to the bathroom. Have been a regular of this chain for a while. They rarely get the consistency of my smoothie right but it was still good. I think they need a little safer method since it's a small store but they allow people to wait inside, it was tricky to navigate. Overall , you always know what you are going to get with Juice Gen. What a lovely slice of heaven, right on bedford! I was looking for a quick juice fix, and this place definitely was what I needed. I had the mucho mango smoothie, and it was filling and very delicious. Much to my surprise, one of the lovely cashiers gave me an acai bowl on the house. I was shocked by such a beautiful and refreshing gift :). As a Williamsburg dweller I'm often in the area, so this sweet spot will always be on my list. I'm stopping by in about an hour to try the peanut butter split, fingers crossed that I make before closing! I read an earlier review saying they only had two seats available.. However when I went earlier in the week there was an entire area for people to sit and chill in the back, so bring all of your friends! The Daily Detox is a great way to start your day. The ginger is strong so sip on this slowly. If I'm craving something sweet, I get the Protein Buzz Smoothie with plant protein. Pretty much everything on the menu can be vegan with plant protein, almond/hemp milk and agave substitutes. The menu shows the ingredients of each drink as well as how many calories it contains. The front of the shop is usually pretty hectic and crowded (on weekends at least). There's a pretty seating area in the back. Banana wasn't ripe and strawberries weren't cut up in the bowl you had to separate them while eating them, and the base (got the almond butter açaí bowl) was weirdly very bland. Several frustrating experiences here! Today, the cashier told me to wait outside because there were too many people in the store and they would call my number when my bowl was ready. Very bad service. After I paid $10 for my juice and drank it in store, I told the manager that it tasted very differently from what I expected. He responded while laughing: "yeah, because we gave you the lady's juice instead of yours, it happened by mistake" I told him that it wasn't my mistake and instead of apologizing or offering my actual juice for free he kept laughing and then left. read more

So I went to JG after my workout class & was meeting a potential babysitter to do an interview. 1. was completely frazzled after my workout session (it was beyond intense so my mind was ALL OVER THE PLC) 2. When I asked where the menu was the people behind the bar and register pointed to the wall behind me and acted in a manner like I was a idiot. RUDE! SO FREAKING RUDE!!! The people there need to be retrained on how to interact with paying customer who's shelling out $$$ for freaking juices. The juice itself tasted fine. The one star is for the horrible customer service. No matter how good their stuff taste DO NOT expect me to come back esp if the staff there are not helpful and so damn rude!!! Unhappy with your job then I suggest you find another one where you don't interact with people. I get it maybe it's because the customers you get are the local "yuppies/hipsters/snob moms" but seriously get your act together! My fav: The seating area in the back-- It's very peaceful! The dining area is huge. I'm also a huge fan of the pressed juices for the day- it comes in a 6 pack; a great help after a long weekend to kick your system back to normal. Love the acai bowl; but they only have one size which isn't also great but it will do-- I tend not to eat the entire thing so I feel like i'm wasting money. Negative: They took away my favorite drink which included the dragonfruit; don't understand why but I was very disappointed. We used to go to this spot all the time. I would get the same smoothie coconut in it. We have allergies so I asked is it just coconut. The answer was yes. Fast forward a few months and I went post work out with a friend. The staff was slower and it was not that busy and we noticed a HUGE tub of what appeared to be coconut ice cream. We asked and they said this is just coconut..... Well it was not. Luckily it was just full of sugar that I could eat not anything we are allergic too in my house.We also cannot eat a lot of sugar in our family. I was so mad! This is a big issue. I am responsible I ask, I do not get angry if someone cannot accommodate but if I ask know what you are talking about! If something had been in the premade product that I or my son cannot have it would have been REALLY dangerous. Luckily it was just sugar and nothing else. We much prefer Juice Press. FRESH COCONUT JUICE! The juice places in the west coast don't have this so I'm super stoked that they have it here. People pay lots of money for coconut water, coconut juice, etc.. and usually it's a lot of money for something close to fresh but not really. BUT in this case, fresh is cheaper! My favorite bottle of coconut juice is $6.50 but for roughly $5 here, I can get a fresh coconut. And it's sooooo good! I also tried their watermelon smoothie which had a blend of various fruits and watermelon. I thought their smoothie was good, comparable to jamba juice but they use fresher ingredients here. The only thing about this location is the wait. When it gets crowded, it takes them so long to make a smoothie. So if you're a patient person then you won't mind this so much. read more

I really wanted to like this place a lot more, since it is right down the street from where I live. The juices may be organic, but they use the same type of juicers as the deli down the street. I know its not HPP but for those prices you should invest in a Norwalk Juicer. I had the green juice and it was way too sweet. 'You Don't Have Time to Make Juice Generation' is a place where you can get a small juice that separates in 1 minute and must be drunk in 15 minutes for the low price of $7.95. My Supa Dupa Greens (I pointed at it and just said 'yeah, that') separated immediately and tasted sickly sweet like it was mostly apple. The Defender is a turmeric ginger shot with a sprinkle of cayenne that is very worth ordering as it strengthens you and takes effect immediately. However, everyone around me is ordering Red Dragon fruit smoothies and acai bowls. Because this is actually 'Smoothie Generation' or rather 'Acai Bowl Generation'. I ordered the PB Acai bowl annoyed that I didn't know. Its a decorative little cake of a bowl topped with granola, cacao nibs, with peanut butter in the middle and a circle of banana. It is a delicious $8 breakfast that you can make yourself at home. The slight tang of berry goes well with the excellent peanut butter and toppings when you mix them. And I'm basically a Peanut Butter Wolf so i love the thing. It also has a strengthening effect, it seems. This place is good in a pinch. Go home and make your own healthy foods. read more

I could barely hear her and she could barely hear me because rap music was BLASTING throughout the store like we were at a nightclub. Seriously, at 8:30am!?! After asking an employee to turn the music down, we were told that it's out of their hands and they couldn't do anything with an attitude and a smirk. I find it extremely rude that the employees weren't more accommodating to the only two people in the store, and such treatment should not be tolerated to customers who spend a small fortune on fresh juice. This type of attitude from young millennial employees is what made Williamsburg completely unlivable. The options here are all right and though I have been many times, I can't recall a negative experience with the staff but I also wouldn't say they were "very friendly". Maybe if the guy at the counter finds you attractive, they are a lot nicer as often seems to be the case in this city. They also have a surprising amount of space to sit, so if you grab something to go elsewhere and buy a drink here, you can often have a nice spot to eat, though it's indoors only. That said, what brings it down for me are the prices (I have been to quite a few that are $4-5 less for the same size), not enough space in the ordering area so it gets really crowded and chaotic fast, and the fact you can't customize your own drink, you can only request they don't include things. Pretty much every juice place, besides the cold pressed ones, including food cart ones, let you make a custom drink. They are missing a lot of good combinations. read more

And a couple of the people that work there are a little on the not so smart side. But everyone else is great. I've been coming here since opening...it used to be great. Sure, there were times that a smoothie or açaí bowl wasn't consistent. That happens! But in the last week, the açaí bowls have really turned out pretty crappy to put it mildly. The veterans that work here are awesome and spot on; and everyone is super nice and energetic, but let's call it how it is...."today's Juice Generation açaí bowl really sucks" and today in particular super sucked!! It begins with the already reduced plastic bowl from yesteryear. Yes to the owners! Us consumers know the bowl is just slightly smaller than it used to be, now ~25% smaller. Maybe it's the pharmacist in me that is all too familiar with just how a few small differences in container shapes and sizes really cuts down significant volume, or maybe it's the business person in me that sees the ownership greed to shave a little more off the consumer!! This really displays lack of creativity to find ways to generate revenue on product/services and to provide real "value" or "perceived value" to the consumer.....and this is evident in how more empty this place has become. Yup, look at the volume of people these days....really low comparatively to past years. So to long time patrons like myself, I hope ownership reads this and makes some changes. Namely drop the prices by 10% and bring back larger sizes...more importantly stress to your staff CONSISTENCY!!! Competition is everywhere and this approach is affecting your sales as we speak! So as far as my immediate experiences, the bowl was filled with about 30% less açaí than normal and, to compensate, extra granola was added. The granola was clumped in bite size chunks, not loose. Further, the açaí mixture seems to have been premixed and thrown in the fridge -not mixed when I placed the order, as the bowl appeared out of nowhere. I don't really have a problem with premixing bowls, but I do have a problem with the % split. I felt I was eating granola cereal and the milk was the açaí!! shouldn't be eating a 60/40% "granola clumps with açaí", I should be eating 75/25% "açaí with granola toppings". Bananas!!!! Let's talk bananas!!! There should be a competition about just how paper thin banana slices can be cut, and they should host the event here. Again, not everyone here cuts it like this, but for the love of the people!!!! When paying $12 for the bowl, at least fill up the small bowl with a decent amount of açaí, break up the stale granola, and include "appropriately sliced bananas to make it thicker than the "coconut flakes" you're sprinkling on top. Btw, those coconut flakes are too over powering in this mix - their texture and toughness for this bowl mix doesn't jive - please bring back the smaller shavings!! I hope things will change for the better!! I know this is a tough review and I'm writing this as a positive, for the hopes to change for the better. If this continues and the regulars leave, profits and volume will drop and then what will the smoothies and bowls look like in the future? How much smaller will they get or how much more will they cost? Creating a successful business is about customer experience!! The better the customer trust and experience, the more volume, translating to higher sales! Amazon knows it. Here it's....where can we shave costs I suggest a few things.....1) coming out with a "review box" for a few weeks/months every year, so patrons can write suggestions/complaints/ positive feedback directly, avoiding such public reviews. 2) Come out with new products - encourage staff to come with their creative "barista" concoctions one day a week on a chalkboard menu with 3 or 4 "specials of the day" on let's say, a Thursday. Customers will look forward to that surprise. If it's an outstanding drink or bowl and the request is great, it should be considered for permanent placement on the menu. 3) Get a tool like an "egg slicer" that can cut a half/whole banana with the ease of one movement. It will save your staff time and grief when it's busy, being that the banana cutting is the açaí bowl lengthiest process in the preparation. It will also keep the consumers happy getting the consistent and proper size cuts, and get customers out the door fast!! read more

I wasn't feeling well and so happen to walked passed this place. I ordered I think what was called the flu medicine? something...? I can't remember. It was a really hot day and it turned out being a hot drink. The gentleman was nice enough to change it for me to make it a cold drink. Not just by dumping my juice into a cup with ice. But he re-mixed it so the entire drink is chilled.... then poured it into a cup of ice. And the drink was SOOOO AWESOME. I wished I had order two for the road! This is the best juice bar I've ever been to. It's pricey because it's perfect. Their juice is solid (not hard to do), but it's their smoothies and acai bowls that take the cake. The peanut butter split smoothie is heavenly and the protein buzz is unbelievably good for being under 300 calories, perfect for after a workout.
