Rude "manager". We bought food and went to the back to sit. Someone I was with brought in coffees and some pastries. Came to the back and said we couldn't eat there. Then proceeded to bother other paying customers about using the restroom, and making them show him the money they spent on their phones. Weird energy. Go somewhere local for a bowl or a smoothie. This was my first time trying Playa Bowls and I'm wondering whether this location led to my disappointment. It was pretty popular with traffic in and out. The drink I ordered was the Dolce and while it wasn't terrible I wouldn't opt for it again. The service was kind of on the slower side due to the take out orders and in person orders being handled simultaneously. It was so busy that despite having time to kill I opted to head out into the heat as to not remain in the busy atmosphere. Super conveniently located by the L train at Bedford Avenue, you'll definitely see it when coming out of the train station exit. I always get the 8th Ave Açaí Bowl (Playa Acai topped with granola, banana, honey) because that's the cheapest w/ the tax ($15.19) from the menu. Fruits taste super fresh and delicious. Lots of granola and a whole banana in slices on top of the açaí. You might not think it's enough in a small bowl but it's indeed fulfilling. It's very refreshing especially in the summertime. Fast service from friendly staff. You can pay with cash and/or credit/debit cards. Probably my favorite Playa Bowl location imo as it has a very clean restroom for customers. There're lots of wall outlets all around in the back. There're two types of seats: metal bar stools for individuals towards the front and a huge, spacious seating area in the back with tables plus several comfy oversized egg-shaped cushion wicker basket chairs. Ambiance wise is of tropical beach vibes and the walls are painted in blue for the ocean/waves. Additionally, there's a huge, vibrant logo of Playa Bowls on the wall. I really enjoy this location in Williamsburg! Uhm I was first introduced to this spot by my significant other an she was so excited about her bowl. I saw it and just had to taste in which she shared some with me and I've been in love ever since. The customer service is great. The staff is always friendly. They take there time to give you great bowls time and time again it's always clean and there's a really cool sitting area with swinging caged chairs. Very vibey and chill which I I love. The manager Terrance at the Williamsburg location is the best. Very attentive and ALWAYS pleasant and greets with a warm welcome. Of your in the area do try them out. It's so fulfilling the portion sizes can be eaten 1-3 times. I feel like it's worth the money can be pricey but hey when it's good quality I don't mind. Although they do have a point system which allows you to deduct $$ off I wish they had another point system or even just monthly promos to save. Ok I am addicted to these bowls, thank goodness they offer a reward program that helps offset the cost l, after a few visits. The visits will be many once you go. You have to try a bowl. My favorite is the Nutella bowl with extra Nutella, minus the coconut flakes. Try it, you will thank me. It is a bit pricey but it is very filling you will be ok for a few hours without rushing to have a meal. It is also healthy. The staff is amazing! Ended up asking for a refund. The Acai was super icy and watery, the strawberry's were old, mushy, and you could smell they had that fridge close to expire smell to them. It was also sickly sweet, unsure if it was some syrup, but just not at all nearly as good as the places on the same street.
