The reception staff was very friendly and welcoming when I was making my appointment and when I checked in. The hygienist who took the x-rays and completed the cleaning was very friendly and gentle. Dr. Winburn came in at the end to review the x-rays and my mouth. He was also very gentle and I appreciated his calm demeanor. I was very happy with the visit and decided to schedule my appointment for 6 months out and appointments for my 2 kids. It was a good experience!

In any event, I had my first appointment at Overland Park Modern Dentistry on approximately October 9, 2024, and had a great experience. Dr. Sheth and the whole staff were very professional, thorough, and gave me information about costs right up front. I was going to be needing a crown (Dr. Sheth showed me on the xray what was going on and I'm familiar enough with the process to understand) and chose to have the entire process completed two days later. It took less than two hours. I'll definitely be using Overland Park Modern Dentistry as my regular dentist and highly recommend them.

I've had four experiences total here, the first one was with Dr. Jessup, he fixed a broken tooth,…read morethey got me in quickly and I was happy with how my broken tooth looks. My second appt was a cleaning also with Dr. Jessup, I was happy with that as well, they were nice and informative. And I had zero pain during the cleaning. My third appt was to get some cavities filled by Dr Jessup, I had no issues with pain before the fillings but now am in a lot of pain and it's been 4 months since then. So I was not happy with that. I went in today for a cleaning from Dr Hutchinson, she was super kind and helpful on a plan to get my tooth to no longer hurt, she said that the filling I was given needed to be fixed and that should solve the pain. Overall I would definitely reccomend the office as the desk gals and hygienists are wonderful and so is Dr Hutchinson but I wouldn't reccomend seeing Dr Jessup. Also the location is kind of interesting to get to but once you've gone once it'll be a breeze to get to again. They do have a parking lot which I appreciate, and the office is very cozy and clean inside as well!

I was getting a filling and she had a drill in her hand and made a cut under my tongue and completely dismissed it with no apology. I was bleeding and sore for days. Second, I had to go back in (take off more work) because she didn't file my tooth down correctly so my bite was uneven for days. Third, she didn't fill in my filling all the way so now there is a discolored hole on my tooth. It is extremely hard to floss where there was a filling done. The dentist is extremely anxiety inducing for me and this experience was horrible. I have had months to sit on this experience and I still feel the same exact way as when it first happened.

There's never a wait, they always walk through every decision, and don't upsell anything to you - they want you to feel confident in your teeth and your dental care. They made sure my experience - fillings, cleaning, etc. was seamless and they checked every tooth to ensure everything felt / looked good before letting me walk out the door. Also noted that sometimes it takes some minute touch ups to get that tooth just right, and that all I had to do was call and they'd make sure and get me right in if anything was bothering me. Truly some of the best and kindest people. It takes a lot to make a good dentist / dental team, and Dr. Maupin and her team are nothing short of incredible. Please go see them for any dental need!
