I've had a dental cleaning my whole life and take good care of my teeth but they no longer want to do a cleaning it has to be either a deep cleaning or they invented a new name which is gum cleaning and of course insurance doesn't cover it. also anytime you have a crown or a composite on a tooth it comes of sometimes same day. not sure if they use cheap product or untrained people. I had to finally go get another crown at a different dentist and it stayed three years now and going.

I was seen within one day of my phone call and the surgery was two days later. The day of surgery I was extremely nervous but Dr. Merkel took the time to reassure me that the tip removal would take only two minutes and be totally pain free. He was true to his word and it took longer for the novicane to take effect than it took for him to remove the root tip. I as in and out within obe half hour. On the day of her surgery, I came with her to clear up insurance questions. We were not having luck with the front desk, so we met with Dr. Green in his office. He immediately dismissed what my daughter and I told him because according to him, "we wouldn't say that." Eventually, he said he would charge us nothing today, my daughter could get her surgery done, and he looked at me and said, "...and you can just be happy." I said, "That is condescending," and we were kicked out of his office. My daughter was in tears, and he told her he was going to call her dentist and say she is no longer welcome in this office because of her mom and then refused to speak to her privately. My daughter was already concerned about Dr. Green due to reviews that said he wasn't patient with people who didn't like needles (they said he told them to suck it up or leave). Based on our interaction with him, I would say any reviews that mention his lack of patience are most likely factual. I do not know why my location is not showing as Kansas, but I am located in Lenexa.

He asks what I would like as far as nitrous or not and happily does what I desire. I had my wisdom teeth out as a teenager 20 years ago by Dr Green and had no complaints then. I have since been to Dr Wallin for a issue in my jaw bone and he is wonderful. Recommends me coming back every few years to keep an eye on the jaw bone area via X-ray which I am grateful for. My teenage son had his wisdom teeth out there as well over the winter. No problems or issues whatsoever by my son or me. The staff is nice, and honest about after care or billing. I wouldn't choose to take my kids or my business anywhere else for oral survey matters.

They waited 55 mins to be seen by the assistant and never saw the doctor. Appt was at 12:45. They arrived at 12:47. A woman came in after them with an appointment for 1:30 and was seen before them and only waited 15 mins. She finished her appt before they were even called back. They got called back at 1:40. When they finally got called back the assistant explained that it was going to cost $425 out of pocket for a mandatory CT scan that insurance would not cover. Again, this needed to be told to us up front as we have never been charged for this out of pocket by any other specialists given the cost of service we end up receiving. Given this My wife and daughter left an hour after we arrived without seeing the doctor. Absolutely terrible experience and customer service. Very unprofessional and lacking in transparency and communication. They were very adamant about my wife taking her herself, yet negligent in communicating fees or seeing us in a timely manner. Awful experience from a place that we had high expectations for.
