I have had some issues with dentists in my past and it takes a lot for me to walk in a dentist's door (even waiting on my children). I had another bad tooth in my mouth and this one was near the front of my smile line. I was very self conscious as it broke and knew I needed to do something soon. My brother told me about offices in his area that were easy going and helpful which encouraged me. I tried one place in OP and they asked me If I just wanted to have all of my teeth pulled. They offered me some ideas on how they can help save my teeth but it was going to be an extraordinary amount of money. My wife talked me into trying Parkway Plaza and from the beginning the staff and dentist were very helpful and patient with me. They discussed options to make me more comfortable and they asked me questions rather than told me what to do. I've now had some work done and I'm very grateful. I've had little to no pain and I feel like I can smile again. I would recommend their office to anyone. This office has a great deal of compassion for theirs customers. Julie is a very special ambassador to their office who is very helpful and makes it clear that they're here for you. I will also say in regards to my anxiety toward future visits it has nearly diminished.

During this crazy pandemic it was hard to get in anywhere nearby, but they were able to squeeze me in sooner than anywhere else. They did warn me it would take awhile this first time because they had to take x-rays and photos, but hopefully everything will go a lot faster next visit. The wait to be seen by the doctor was quick and thorough. Dr. Ediger had great bedside manners and his staff Ashley and hygienist were all so kind. The facility was top-notch and was super accommodating. I love that everyone wore masks and that they had a wash your hands at the side before anything and temp check protocol, kudos to them for keeping their facility as safe and clean as they can. I had a wonderful experience and am glad we found our new family dentistry here in Kansas.

Unfortunately I had numerous dental issues that had to be addressed, including extractions, crowns and bridge work. All of my visits were beyond satisfactory, the latest one today being prepped for bridge work. I am scheduled to go back on March 7 for the permanent bridge. The quality of care was exceptional, performed with diligence and kindly concern. The office experience, from ease of scheduling to check-out, was also excellent. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Herre's knowledge of TMJ. He also teaches other dentist how to treat this condition so I would consider him an expert. Dr. Herre made me a bite splint and at first, I will be honest, the expense was really hard to swallow. However, when you consider that the hour long follow up visits (all included) for weeks and weeks afterwards, it really makes the cost more understandable. Anyway, I have had my bite splint for 5 weeks now and the proof is in the pudding. I went from someone who spent probably 10 days a month in bed with migraines to being nearly headache free. Before I also had other symptoms like not being able to chew foods, ear pain, facial pain and all of it has disappeared. My husband is thrilled that I'm not tired all the time anymore. I cannot say how pleased I am with the results so far.

I said let's go ahead and make a retainer - she then asked if I would be interested Invisalign, they would have to do the same scans either way. If I decide it's too expensive/didn't want it, they would just get me a retainer made. My teeth are pretty straight as I had braces as a child. They came back with $5,000 for Invisalign. I said no thank you to that and would just like a retainer made. They then told me that would cost $650. I said that is not what I was quoted. They told me they would call me back. Three weeks went by with no word so I called back. They then sent me in circles, Maria asked why I would want to retain the gaps in my teeth, I let her know that I do not have any gaps.. she then asked why I would want to retain crowding.. I again let her know I had no crowding and asked if she was even looking at my file. She said she was and that if I had braces x amount of years ago not to even worry about it. I asked why the hygienist would suggest a retainer and Maria said "she's not in orthodontics, she's just a hygienist" and then said she could have a retainer made for $350. I again advised that is not what I was quoted and she said "well our prices went up". I said okay, no thank you and please cancel my next appointment. She called back 10 minutes later and said she was "looking at the wrong file" and they would make me a top and bottom retainer for $250 total. All that said, it just felt very scamy and very much bullying. Not sure if they get commission on selling Invisalign or what but they weren't even looking at my file and asking me, in the same conversation, why I would want to retain gaps and crowding.. overall terrible experience. Would not recommend going here.
