His communication was optimal before, during, and after my procedure, and his assistant was fabulous. Billing: I was quoted wrong (only quoted coinsurance) and (embarrassingly enough) didn't have a valid card with me to pay for the deductible that was not quoted. I was still allowed to check in without paying for my full deductible. I did however have to place my (inactive) card on file for future charges and signed a form stating the date they would withdrawal.

I was apalled to hear that when I left the room she was talking behind my back and telling her colleagues that if I was "looking for a cheaper price I can f*** off." Upon hearing this we asked to speak with the Doctor multiple times and she repeatedly told us that she was going to call security, and then cancelled our appointment without our knowledge. When I brought to her attention that she shouldn't say such things to customers, she proceeded to tell us that she "doesn't care and will inform the Mr. Wenzel of what she said." As long as she remains working there, do yourself a favor and never come here if you are looking for a respectable periodontistry. Until she is removed from her position, I will never reccomend Wenzel Periodontics to anyone.

When I walked in, the receptionist was welcoming and seemed immediately aware of my appointment once I gave my name. There was no typical hassle for a first time patient - I had already filled out the papers provided online so it was easy. I handed them over, she copied my insurance card and that was it. The dental assistant started my appointment right on time and was just the right mix of friendly, helpful, and professional. She helped put me at ease even during the awkward, drooling moments you expect at a dental appointment. The dentist was great; she explained everything that showed up on my xrays/pictures, gave me an overview of my dental health/needs, and answered my questions. Gina, the Office Manager/Receptionist was very welcoming, and put me at ease. It's a clean and attractive office, with what appears to be fairly new high-tech equipment, including a superfast 360-degree imaging apparatus. And best of all, their bitewing imaging equipment neither hurts your mouth NOR makes you gag, which is a HUGE improvement! John, the Dental Assistant, made sure I was well-protected from rays during all x-rays/imaging, whereas in the past, I'd sometimes had to ask for protective gear. Since I was a new patient, the very personable Dr. Anthony Papinsick himself cleaned my teeth, which goes a long way toward making a patient feel valued. And after his thorough examination of my teeth, thankfully, he reassured me that I had been practicing good dental hygiene! I was able to view my 360-degree images on a large screen on-the-spot(!) while he explained everything I was looking at and let me know what was good (or not), something that's never been available to me at any previous dentist. Both he and John answered all my questions, and let me know what would be happening during the process, all of which seemed to be done using much newer/better tools than I've see before.
