1. Management Communication: The biggest issue is with the leadership. It felt like every time there was a concern it took way too long to come to a resolution. Communication with parents is inconsistent at best. 2. Cost vs. Quality: For the amount of money you pay for a competitive club team, you expect a certain level of professionalism. I am so relieved to see someone else finally speak up about this club. The lack of leadership and professionalism is appalling. My daughter was not there for long because I could not continue to pay an absurd amount of money for nothing. I accompanied my daughter on several travel tournaments and was shocked to see the Director's/Owners (Jess & Tara) drinking in front of the players and actually getting drunk with other parents! College recruiters barely looked at this club during tournaments. I am not surprised to read about the verbal abuse since my daughter told me about how it was constant during practices, especially towards the minority players. Parents, you have been warned! If you love your child and want them to succeed, this is NOT the club to go to! read more

Two of my daughters have been players and one turned into a coach after 9 years at this club. After all the money and dedication we put into this club there was absolutely no loyalty and barely any training but plenty of verbal abuse. The lack of leadership and professionalism is appalling. These girls are screamed at and put down by people who are supposed to be role models and all that abuse comes from the directors and owners of the club so there isn't any "higher" person to go to. My then 15 year old was left in Cleveland on a club led trip to get herself home because the coach was having some emotional breakdown and decided my daughter was at fault and she was no longer allowed to fly home with her team. Her sister who was also there coaching for Juggernaut was forced to abandon her own team to make sure my daughter was safe. The owners completely acted unprofessionally and unethically. Thank goodness her sister was there because who knows what could have happened. Watching the directors/owners of this club get drunk with other parents AND In front of players is completely inappropriate and it's sad because these parents think this is what they have to do for their daughters to get playing time. I would NOT recommend this club to anyone who wants their daughters to excel and be protected and safe in a volleyball club. At the end they threatened my daughters future by possibly preventing her from playing club any further. They don't want kids to excel they want money. There was absolutely no accountability taken on their part. This club was definitely a better club when the previous owner was there but since the new management took over it's gone down hill very fast. read more

I went to several open gyms over the summer in preparations for this clubs tryout. I only wanted to go here because it is considered a "notable" club with teams participating in the mixed division. Upon arrival, I was greeted with short and terse attitudes from the coaches. Being one of the only people without a Juggernaut practice shirt, I felt as though all the girls were staring at me. Since this sport is dominated by teen girls and most of them had played together and didn't know who I was, I didn't mind. Then the open gym began. We didn't warm up at all. After not playing for awhile due to COVID, I think that's EXTREMELY dangerous. I am beyond surprised no one was injured. As we went to the courts to play speedball, I began introducing myself in hopes that maybe I could make a friend to make the next two hours less painful. I was wrong. I was met with cold shoulders, eye rolls, and being ignored. The only girls who would talk to me were 12. I am 16! Aforementioned, I hadn't been on a court in awhile (since March, this was June) so I was a little rusty getting into it. After missing only three serves (not in a row) I was up to serve again when one of the girls cut in front of me. I asked her why she did that and she told me "we can't keep waiting for you to catch up." Half way through the open gym, Jess (the director) told us if we wanted to have a pre tryout to let her know, and returning players would be offered a spot if wanted. I decided not to use my first day back as a tryout so I didn't say anything, but that I really wanted to play with girls as rude as the girls I met. Slowly, the tallest girls (no matter the utter lack of skill) were called and offered high spots. A lot of the girls I was out serving and getting kills on. Fast forward to tryouts, I was greeted a little more politely by another woman, and went through the standard paperwork. I began to notice how hot it was in the gym. One of the directors was pregnant so that heat probably wasn't good for the baby. Tryouts began with warmups again but none of the directors were paying attention. They let a young coach run it who was the 13s coach when everyone there was 15+. By that point the heat in the gym was almost unbearable. Then we moved into serve receive. The coach served at me and I passed every ball while most other kids shanked it. I was talking the whole time. Then we did hitting lines where I told the coach multiple times that I'm left handed so I have to have a specific toss. He ignored my reminder and didn't help me at all, causing each and every hit to be less than my capabilities. We worked on hitting for less than 10 minutes which was terrible for all us front row players. Then we did a weird movement/talking drill where she didn't explain how to play. I was yelled at by her for not getting how to move my first try. Then, Jess finally came back to tell us that "if she sees we have heart for the game and are coach able then we have a better chance with Juggernaut". This peeked my interest, because I've been told I'm passionate and coach able. I made sure to put in a lot of effort. Then, they began to call players. When I was called I wasn't feeling completely confident but since I was loud and had a grasp on volleyball (unlike some other girls there) I had a feeling I'd at least make the second team. Jess patted my back and said "Congrats! We do want you on the REGIONAL2 team! We would've placed you higher, but you're so loud this isn't cheerleading and you're not quite in the shape that we need you in." Too loud? In VOLLEYBALL? And of course I was panting when she called me over it was probably 100° in the gym. I had been working out outside of volleyball for weeks! Some of the tall girls who admitted they hadn't played before made the twos team! I realized that it didn't matter if I was coach able or loud or had passion, if I wasn't tall or extremely skinny I was not made to be a player at Juggernaut. Be forewarned if you do choose to sign here, if you aren't skinny white or tall, they dont want you and don't even bother trying. read more

I am updating my previous harsh review with a full, complete, and contrite retraction and apology. In the intervening days since my previous review, Juggernaut's Managing Director has reached out to me with a full and complete explanation of their polices and procedures, and some circumstances that conspired to have them function less than optimally on the one evening I was present. I understand and apologize for my rush to harsh judgment. I have received a more than fair refund, and an apology, which prompted me to issue a personal written apology to the Youth Director for my impatient over-reaction. Once the organization had adequate time to function and perform the way it was designed and intended to do it performed magnificently, with a keen eye toward Customer Service and care for the sport which they support so passionately. I am sorry to everyone who read my previous review, and if you made a decision on that basis, I urge you to reconsider. We would highly recommend Juggernaut Volleyball. Our daughter has been playing with the club for 1.5 years now and absolutely loves it. The owners, Jess and Tarah, are amazing mentors for the kids. Their love for the game of volleyball, their encouragement of every player and their incredible leadership create an unmatched atmosphere at Juggernaut. The coaches and staff create a super fun and competitive environment where the kids thrive. Not only do they really learn how to play the game extremely well, they learn how to be great teammates, and how to become the best they can be. Confidence, perseverance, commitment, and determination are just some of the qualities the kids learn during their experience at Juggernaut. The positive impact this club has had on our daughter has been unbelievable.
