Waited over 2 hours just to deliver our food. Food was soggy and not hot at all. Not worth the wait.

Ate their twice. Food was overpriced. Both their burgers and cheesesteaks sucked. Their soul food is unavailable both times I went.

So I've been meaning to try this place for a long time. Well luckily we got our chance today. Met…read morewith a Swedish paper mill today and wanted to take them to a nice lunch spot. We chose this because the menu had a nice mix of southern and American favorites that they weren't accustomed to. You should've seen two northern boys trying to describe grits to a Swede. Our waitress was awesome. She was great at explaining things and talking about each dish. Of course there were questions. Some things probably got lost in translation but everyone was happy with their choices. I also feel like servers are always put in an awkward position when you ask them to help you choose. Food is like art. It's so subjective. So for starters we got the fried greet tomatoes and the Burrata. Burrata was not ideal for sharing with people you do not know. It was one large piece of toast. So she actually took it back and someone cut it into 4 sections for us. The fried green tomatoes were awesome. It had a nice tangy sauce with sweeter pickles that came along side. My colleague got the open faced chicken sandwich which was an enormous amount of food. It was two fat chicken pieces on two thick slices of toast. I got the salmon sticky rice bowl with a side of the charred broccoli. Both were so delicious. The salmon had some broccoli in it too. So I really over did it. The charred broccoli side had crusted Parmesan in it and a creamy sauce. Both dishes were just knock outs. Almost forgot I got the love latte too. That was really good. I got it with oat milk. So I highly recommend this place. Great for a business lunch too. Easy to hear one another. Music wasn't too loud. Oh they were very gracious with us. We were 15 minutes late because I wouldn't stop talking in the pre lunch meeting. Yeah I'm that guy. Figures I'd be on Yelp.

The real slightly negative thing I have to say it's pretty much all Philly restaurants do it is they do charge a service fee but they don't say what it is. The eggs were poached but hard boiled in texture and chalky and gross. Everything seemed like it was taken straight from a bag of frozen food to heat up. Greasy, not flavorful, strictly disappointing. The server was nice enough. The specialty coffees sounded good, but were just overly sweetened, crappy coffee. I had the pecan cinnamon roll latte as a treat but was unpleasantly surprised the "cinnamon roll" garnish seemed like one of those packaged, sticky, ultra-processed school lunch type of treats. If 0 was an option, I would have picked it. I guess 1 star is okay because the server was nice.

The food is delicious, carefully cooked to order and full of love. The dishes are not just your typical breakfast fare but a bit adventurous. I had a pork omelette with rye toast and potatoes. We also got the biscuits and turkey gravy topped off with two iced coffees. Nothing felt heavy not even the pork which was a lechon style slow cooked, tender and oh so yummy. Portions are just enough and the service was well placed, not intrusive and we were offered every condiment we could possibly need. I highly rate and recommend this spot if you're ever in Philly. PS I am not a breakfast fan but I'd have breakfast here any day!

We arrived at 12:30pm and as expected, the wait was about 40 minutes with 5 parties ahead of us. They will seat you in order of your party size. When the hostess finally sat me and my friend at a table, it was wayyyy too close for comfort to another couple that was sitting next to us. I asked to sit by the bar area instead and they happily obliged. I knew what I wanted because I had plenty of time to survey the menu while we were waiting...scallion cheddar bacon waffle that comes with two sunny side up eggs on top. My decision was also based on a few Yelp pics for this dish. My friend ordered an omelette. Oh boy, the wait for our food took forever. At this point it was close to 1:30pm and I was hungry. What was annoying was seeing 4-5 other patrons that were seated after us get their food first. When our dishes finally came I was not happy, my waffles looked burnt, and there was only one egg instead of two. Honestly, at this point I just ate it. I didn't want to complain and wait. Drink menu is limited and the tea I had was alright. Still glad I got to check this place off my list. The entire staff is super welcoming and friendly but I will not be returning here for the food. Very cute and quaint space with limited indoor and outdoor seating.

They have a mocktail of the day (mine was a hibiscus spritz) if you just wanna spice it up. Only downside was that the ac was broken the day but there wasn't much the restaurant could do about that (obviously) so it's not affecting my rating. We were all content with our choices, though we puttered around making suggestions from their large drink menu. I typically go for a savory breakfast, but the stuffed brioche French toast was speaking to me. I can never turn down banana! The rest of our table ordered avocado toast (x2) and fried eggs with bacon. Everyone was really happy with their choices and an added bonus was that our food came out quickly. Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. That's somewhat expected for a popular brunch spot on a weekend. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our waiter stopped by quickly with waters and took good care of us throughout the meal. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.

Much better and safer places in walking distance with friendlier service and better food! - when asked about vegan options, the restaurant said they didn't know and asked me to look at the options and they'd verify. It's weird to not have any dietary-friendly options ready, and to not be willing to look into it - asked for a side of PB and only after calling them, they said they had none left (?) and did not offer a replacement - coffee tasted bitter and the beans were over roasted. I also ordered a decaf since I can't have caffeine, and needed to take allergy medication because I realized halfway through that it had caffeine. Oats were cooked (which was great), but was missing the promised toppings from the menu. An iced latte + oats = $33. I also chatted with the manager after this and she said raisins are seasonal (not true lol) so they could remove toppings without telling us, and that it is standard to not receive assistance about what items fit dietary restrictions and to just look at a menu (not true).

It was super quiet during dinner time. Only a handful of people were getting a drink at the bar area. I don't think Patchwork is the type of restaurant where non-hotel guests would eat at. I ordered the steak frites and my friend ordered the roast chicken. Our orders took a long time to come (over half hour) which is wild given it was prime dinner time and there were no other dinner guests. When it came out, the dishes were large, but they tasted mediocre. My steak was overcooked and had tough tendon through half of it. My friend's chicken wasn't too dry, but neither of us liked the sauce which was a bit sour. We wouldn't eat here if it wasn't for the credit. Since we had extra credits remaining after the dinner, we spent the remainder on kind bars from their grab and go section. When we checked out, the folio showed an incorrect charge from the kind bars purchase. We even spoke with the Patchwork staff who pulled up our receipts and stuff. The receipts showed the correct amount, but the resulting charge to my folio was double of what we actually purchased. After spending half an hour trying to figure this out, the on-duty manager said that she'll tell the General Manager to process the refund for us, but I never received it. I got in contact with the GM but still pending updates. It's only a $13 problem, but I'm more concerned why their POS would double charge me on my folio versus what the signed purchase receipt says.
