Several reviews rate this place as average and I would agree. We were greeted warmly as we entered and seated but it was several minutes before our order was taken. Once the waiter took our order, service was prompt and friendly. We both had breakfast. My eggs were properly cooked (over easy) and the hotcakes were quite good. My smoked sausage was not what I expected, however. As a southerner I expected a sausage patty but got a "smoked sausage", essentially a hot dog. My fault for not asking. Should have had bacon. Stopped in here (1st time) for lunch before heading up to Pinal Peak. Perfect place to begin the trek up. We both ordered a simple BLT on toast with coleslaw. Well, the coleslaw was pretty darn tasty! The BLTs were nothing special, with one slice each of un-ripened tomato and a couple slices of overdone bacon, but one thing really grabbed our attention. Her bread was perfectly toasted, and mine was burnt, as in close to black. How can you prepare two exact same sandwiches, side by side, and not tell that one has burnt toast? For that matter, how can you bring two sandwiches to someone's table, one burnt and the other not, and actually set that down in front of someone??? Our server was a nice guy, but geez you guys! If the cook doesn't catch it, isn't it up to the server to be that safety net, that second set of eyes? Anyway, not sure we would ever eat here again when in town, but if The Copper Hen or Bloom is open, they will be our go-to places. I can't even rate this place on its food. The bathrooms were so atrocious, the cleanliness of the dining area and entry way so gross, we left. The deal clincher was when my son came out of the men's restroom (after I had visited the women's and found a used tampon on the floor) and stated 'boy that bathroom is dirty.' This place is definitely a bit like the highway diners I remember from the 80's, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I noticed other reviews stated this place or its bathrooms were dirty, didn't seem bad to me - everything I saw was as clean and orderly as I'd expect. We ate around 2pm on a Sunday. The food itself is not going to win accolades from "foodies" but it's straightforward diner fare and nothing to complain about. I had the taco salad this time and enjoyed it. Our waitress took care of us, kept our drinks full and didn't pester us when it wasn't needed... sweet. So, not a place to go and be AMAZED!!! but also not a bad place to stop for a relaxing bite to eat when you're not in a hurry. Was on a run to Globe with the car club, we were to stop at Judy's for breakfast. Read the Yelp World reviews and they seemed to be all over the place from one to five stars, so, my mind was blank when we pulled into the parking lot...all 13 of us. The restaurant was not able to sit us all in one place so we divided up to tables in various places. The waitress was right there getting our drink orders, we told her we would like separate checks, she had no problem with that. She came back shortly with various drinks that were ordered and to take our breakfast/lunch orders. Several ordered breakfast and the waitress made some suggestion that got the orderer what they wanted but at a lower price....that was pretty cool and gratitude was expressed. It did take awhile to get our food, but the place was packed with about a 15-20 minute wait for those arriving after us. We received our food all at one time. The portion sizes were nice, enough but not too much. All the breakfast diners were happy with their orders, my salad was also very good. We were in an out in about an hour and a half, and back on the road. All in all, for the crowd we had, on a Saturday morning of a Holiday weekend, Judy's did a fine job and I have nothing to fault them with, the food was good, the service was good, and the waitress was very good, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Stopped here a few days ago on a road trip. Was a little skeptical as this seemed to be the only place around that would serve good food. I was blown away, the food was great! Worse food ever! We were told a 45 min wait for food. After an hour I flagged down the hostess, as we could see our food sitting and sitting under the lights. She brought our cold hotcakes. I had ordered the poached eggs, sausage and hash browns. The cold hotcakes were under cooked, hash browns still cold, sausage was a hotdog. I had breakfast here on my way through Globe on 12/29/15 and I was very pleased with the meal and the service. Courteous and warm, we were quickly seated. There were snow flurries outside, so I wanted to warm up early this morning. I ordered eggs and bacon and my girlfriend ordered hot chocolate and toast. While we were eating we noticed some cinnamon rolls were just set out on the counter under glass. Gee, they were incredible and cheap! Good food, good service, good everything. Did not want gravy on the mashed potatoes so our server took them back to the kitchen. The manager was working in the kitchen and slammed the plate onto the pass after exchanging the mashed potatoes. Great place to stop on the way up north. Diner like, nothing fancy, but good for family/casual. They do a very tasty Patty melt (which I had twice on our trip to Pinetop). We had just left Apache Gold because we did not want to eat at the Black River Grill again, bad/slow service. We were looking for a descent meal on the way home and found Judy's. We were acknowledged right away and they seated us. Our waiter was outstanding and very on top of his game. Made sure we were comfortable got us something to drink, giving us time to look at the menu. Took our orders and did a really good job of seeing to our needs.
