The smash burgers and sushi are great deals. The smash burgers are tasty and were an especially great deal in the past. But that was yesterday--and these days, a lot can change between yesterday and today. Regardless, the burgers still hit - Pillowy buns, cheesy, well seared meat, it is textbook smash burger for sure. They may be a little more expensive now, but the lines also seem a bit shorter, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's probably a healthier balance for both the proprietor and the loyal customers who keep coming back. Jubilee also recently introduced 5 piece $4 sushi which is insane honestly. It isn't the greatest fish but it hits too, I am surprised to see scallop included. I was there for this madness on a Monday afternoon and I'm pretty sure I'm not doing it again. A lineup for the sushi wasn't honored by other shoppers isn't Jubilee's fault but really speaks to the lack of respect and honor by the mostly younger crowd. These deals follow the Costco formula of luring you in with a great deal and having you spend more money elsewhere. It's a genius idea really. genuinely 10/10 grocery store. from the management to all employees, food quality, store setup, prices of the food and drinks served upstairs... i feel SO LUCKY to live nearby. i always lived in areas where a good grocery store was far away (and tbh good grocery store is hard to define.. like fresh produce but high prices vs good prices but no produce...limited selections... ugh) this place is pretty well rounded and is just overall LIT here are the things that i personally love most: - the owner ACTUALLY seems to care a lot about making his grocery store a great place, is constantly asking for feedback (if you ask them to start stocking something they usually will take your request and actually stock it + will respond to feedback and make changes) and is doing a lot of work to keep prices down... that means a lot - 5 buck cluck = a whole rotisserie chicken for 5$... freaking amazing and has helped my meal preps for my 12 hour shifts.. its good chicken - when you spend $50 or more you get a FREE ROLL OF BOUNTY PAPER TOWEL - their reward system is actually good as well - the sushi prices are great (especially the 4$ sampler plate withe 6 rolls), sushi is all fresh - there is a lady at the butcher who is always very kind and has given great tips for meat prep, always answers questions knowledgeably (i forgot name, sorry, but just know that you rock) -the food upstairs is YUMMY ... the smoothies are 2 die for, burgers are all so good... and the prices are SO CHEAP YAY - good variety of home+cookingware + cleaning stuff + cat food + dog food - they have a selection of korean skincare - the sales are actually good -everyone who works there is very nice I LOVE YOU JUBILEE read more

I love this spot. Their cheeseburgers are not only affordable but delicious From time to time they also introduce new combinations to it. For example I tried their Korean-ish burger with kimchi is absolutely delicious. Coming off of paying $66 for a burger and fries from 4 Charles, I just felt icky. I don't care if the beef came from a pasture-raised Tajima-gyu cattle in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan that defecates 24k gold. Paying a Mario Lemieux for the great American combo is just against the whole ethos burgers to me. I had to cleanse my soul and get to Jubilee Market where they charge $2.90 for a burger. $2.90 for a burger in the big '26?! In New York City?! On the menu, they are marketed as sliders. However, scenarios like this are exactly why I've been weighing every meat frisbee I have come across for the past month. 7th Street Burger's single smash burger ($6.50) weighs 5.7 oz, while Jubilees weighs 5.4 oz. While still small, they are much bigger than I was anticipating. I think we have to start calling them "slashburgers" or "slurgers." They consist of 100% grassfed beef patties, onions, cheese, local pickles, and their housemade sauce all between a Martins potato bun. I got 4 singles, 1 double slashburger ($5.90), a spicy boy ($4.5) that added pickled jalapenos and house made sriracha ketchup, and a side of small fries ($4). That totals $22 for an ungodly amount of food. For the price, I was honestly expecting it to be a 5 or 6 out of 10, and I would've been happy with that, but these things SHOCKED me. After a bite my first words were, "Ayo... why aren't we funding this!?" I don't even really know what that means in this context, but it came from my soul. It is a QUALITY burger. There is a nice char on the patties, a pop of flavor on every bite, and they're a little greasy without it being a complete grease bomb. Final score is a respectable 8.3/10 for me, but this motion per dollar is absolutely off the charts. I also found cod roe in individual frozen packets which has been so much more convenient to use. With multiple locations across NY and its boroughs, Jubilee Marketplace has been popping up on my Tiktok FYP. From its $4 sushi samplers to its Korean fusion sandwiches and finally its $2.50 sliders, Jubilee offers some great, affordable food for a busy individual or a hungry shopper. When I went, I tried their $4 sushi and a couple of their sliders. Both were amazing. While I felt like their sushi rice was a bit hard, you can't complain for $4. It also had some Korean influences, such as their gochujang octopus, which was super nice to try. Never had omakase before so this was my 1st foray into it! Got ahold of their newly introduced sushi counter and it was a great meal. Got the $30 omakase and $18 chirashi rice bowl at the 12pm distribution. Wasn't able to get their coveted $4 - 6 piece set, but these two were already a great haul! The slices in the chirashi bowl are thicker than other places with similar items (ie: mog mog [premium bowl $38] and tenichi mart [closest similar one - salmon akura bowl $21]). The flavor and taste were FRESH. The value for both items are AMAZING! I would get the chirashi bowl more often if I was there as you can try so many flavors, even uni. The sushi are MUST TRYS if you go to this supermarket. I also like that they carry alot of products that may be hard to find in regular places like shoprite (ie: sea moss, chili infused honey, etc). Other honorable trys: APPLE brined PAT LA FREIDA $5 rotisserie chickens, $2.25 mini burgers at 20 grams cafe, store made tatziki / babagonosh spreads Note: the Jubilee mkt in financial district is the one with $10/pd buffet style prepared foods. Thats a great lunch meal if you are around there! Overall, I like the direction the CEO of this market is going with introducing affordable options to different cuisines! Jubilee is amazing, a place I left with both a full stomach and full heart because of the mission and obvious love for the community. Few places leave you inspired but Jubilee is one of them, keep in mind this is a grocery store. The food is high quality for a reasonable price. Most iconic is the $4 omakase set which has 6 pieces of high quality sushi!! Cannot be beat anywhere. And the $2.75 sliders (cheaper than a subway swipe) is great. They are rewriting expectations for grocery stores and grocery store sushi. This is more than a grocery store but a passion project to love their community. I wanted to try their sliders for the longest time and finally made it one weekend. I didnt even realize they had other combos for the sliders so we ended up getting the original but also one other specialty one each. The classic is definitely worth coming back for. For 2.90, they were good as a snack but can be a meal if you double up and add some sides. I also got the korean-ish slider and my friend got the cowboy. I honestly didn't feel like they were worth the 4.50, but maybe $4 at most because nothing really stood out about them. I think you might as well get the classic because my expectations weren't really met with these other ones. I wanted to like the Korean-ish slider, but I felt like you dont really notice all the ingredients they added to it. The cowboy was slightly better but not really 4.50 worth it for us personally. We also got a side of the enoki tenders which were $10 for 4 pieces and came with 2 choice of sauces. We got the poblano ranch and wasabi yuzu. The poblano ranch was the better one of the two with more flavor to it. The wasabi yuzu was a bit underwhelming. The enoki tenders were really greasy and didnt have salt in the batter so you had to make sure to use sauce. I like the batter they used which was a more beer batter type of texture but it was overall way too greasy to handle. It was also hard to eat because once you bite into it, its hard to not pull out all the mushrooms from that bite. We also got some drinks since it was super hot and they were out of mango and strawberry so we got the korean pb&j and the watermelon. It uses Sourmilk in their drinks which is nice to try since I know its a new yogurt brand. The watermelon drink was ok but a bit too watery for me. I dont think the vanilla cold foam did much for it since it was more watery in flavor. The korean pb&j was better with flavor but definitely more hefty of a drink. After having the food, I was definitely having a hard time drinking the smoothie since it was pretty rich. I didnt really notice the strawberry cold foam on there but overall its a nice iteration of the classic pb and j. I love how nutty the flavor of misugaru is and the strawberry syrup added a bit of sweetness to break up the monotony of the flavor. Everything came out to $40 at the end and it wasn't bad but maybe next time I will opt for just the classic. I am curious to try their sandwiches but when I saw a girl eating one, it was very drippy so I didn't want to try that this time. I love that the prices are more affordable than a lot of places out there these days. I definitely want to come back to try their sushi but I feel like you have time have good timing to be able to grab one. read more

The market has lots of great products on the shelves, lots of Asian assortments, which is great. Tried the onigiri being sold here, and yeah, if you like mentaiko onigiri and are ok with spice, this is excellent. They are large, flavorful, and really really tasty. The staff here are helpful, the market is clean, and there's so many cool things on the shelves that aren't at other grocery stores. They even do samples sometimes! I really like Jubilee and their Greenpoint location is pretty special-- currently it's the only store that has sushi available. The space is quite large, much larger than their FiDi location and they have a cafe on the ground floor too. They have a great selection of local produce, which is competitively priced. I picked up some beautiful SunGolds for only $5 when it would have been $7+ at the farmer's market. I find a lot of fun stuff like trendy snacks, which makes it a fun place to browse with friends. Unfortunately, we had a pretty bad experience that overshadows all of that: They had a sample out for a Chinese style potato dumpling soup from a brand called Chenzi. I tried it, and the pork inside the ball was clearly undercooked. I mean essentially raw. It was immediately obvious just from the texture. About a day after one of my friends started feeling sick. I didn't eat mine and I don't know why he did because it was gross. I was pleasantly surprised with all the fresh fruits and vegetables in stock. They also had an entire area just for mushrooms exclamation. I mean like really good mushrooms! I know I will definitely back to get some of the lions mane variety for when I go to Virginia next time because I need to make vegan crab cakes from my grandfather (allergic to seafood). They also feature a luxe skin and body care atra with top brands from the US and Asia. The prices here are quite a bit higher than any of the Asian stores I've ever visited in NYC, likely due to the location. After reading about it in Eater we thought we'd give it a try. It was quite busy when we arrived and it took quite awhile for our order to come out. The burgers are super cheap, $2.15, and a little more to add cheese. They are a smash burger served on a potato slider bun with grilled onions and pickles. The burger itself comes off as tangy, so IMO it's hard to actually taste the meat. For $3 you can get a side of tater tots which was a nice sized portion for the price. While the burgers are indeed cheap, they are small and one does not a meal make. I was slightly disappointed afterwards, but enjoyed eating it. Home of the $2.15 burgers! The burgers are more of a large slider, but you really can't complain when one burger is $2.15. Adding cheese adds a little bit to the price, but does taste good with just the meat and grilled onions. The burgers themselves are pretty solid overall in taste; they aren't anything mind blowing to other burger joints in the City, but for the novelty and price it's definitely worth eating a couple. The marketplace itself also serves other hot foods such as fries and also an option to make ramen noodles, along other grocery goods. Price for the other items seem to be in line with market prices.
