Took a stroll to the Greenpoint library to return some books and remembered I had been wanting to hit up this spot. Mitsuki is conveniently located close to the Norman Ave G stop. There's a lot of Naruto and One Piece memorabilia lining the shop. It has a good mix of food, beauty, and cookware items. They obviously also have Japanese staples and quite a few anime related figurines and toys. They had a decent selection of ready and prepared meals like onigiri and sushi. I bought a salmon and spicy tuna onigiri as well as a royal milk tea to go. Pretty comparable to Ten Ichi in Williamsburg in taste for the onigiri and just a tad cheaper. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and I'll definitely be back.

I brought some seaweed flavor snacks and calpico drinks. Great spot for getting snacks.

Glad to have Japanese market nearby. Making my boring day at work taste:) the girl cashier needs more focusing about change of wrong amount.

This place is really great. Very clean inside and easy to navigate. So many kinds of ingredients, fun snacks, even little gift sets of sake cups or soy sauce dishes. My absolutely favorite part is the hand made onigiri available daily. Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, eel, and more. Great little snack for only $3!

    It's pretty nice store.

Love this little Japanese grocery, with a small well selected inventory of items from Japan. They also sell some prepared foods.

This market is little small and expensive but if you have no choice it may have what you want. You're better off going to Sunrise Market.

Today, we were here with our friend, our friend bought the wrong flavor of ice cream and tried to return or swap for a different flavor. The same male manager refused a refund because the ice cream was "melted" since it was purchased 30 minutes ago. Our friend didn't know we had tried this flavor before and didn't like it and just wanted to swap it for mango. Here's the "melted" ice cream that we weren't allowed to return. The workers are always so kind and sweet, so is the female manager, but this guy is always hostile and aggressive to selective customers. This place is always busy and packed and many times I see people do the same thing where one person sits when another is on line with the food and seems to be an issue as of recent. I don't know the reason, but I've never had a problem doing this before in the past 2 almost 3 years. We purchase all of our food, sit quietly, clean up after ourselves, I don't see the issue with sitting while another purchases or why we couldn't return an unopened box of ice cream just to swap flavors.

This compact Japanese grocery store offers a wide variety of snacks, and a great prepared food section. After 8pm, almost all the prepared food items are 50% off which is a deal. Staff and service is always nice and efficient. Primarily a takeout spot, there's some minimal seating.

It's a small shop, but they have a wide array of goods from artisanal soy sauces to snacks to handmade soaps to Taiwanese themed cards and decor to Tatung rice cookers. A lot of their products are sourced directly from Taiwan and are of great quality. It is located right next to Win Son Bakery, so you can stop by after getting a bite to eat. Yun Hai is the only place I know of to buy organic Taiwanese-grown mesona for making grass jelly (or just mesona tea before you add something to set it into jelly), so we bought two packs to take home with us. I made some grass jelly and mesona tea this past weekend for my parents to remind them of Taiwan. Even if you don't have the chance to visit the physical store, you can shop their goods online to support this amazing small business (and they make great gifts too if you are looking for something special this holiday season)!
