Salmon & Avocado rolls and Takoyaki Balls

I really like this place, much larger than the Japanese supermarkets by me. The food was fresh and delicious. I got some onigiris and they were on point. FYI the tuna one was raw and most places have cooked tuna. I was surprised but I did enjoy it. You can order food too and the prices are pretty good. The staff there was really welcoming and friend. The store is spacious and has lots of great stuff.

Came to this neighborhood for a class and found this gem!

Lovely place. Great takeout food. The cashiers are super nice and friendly and greet you and say goodbye which is unheard of in NY. Clientele is annoying rich yuppies, but it's WB. Thought it was funny the cashier had to confirm the fillings of my onigiris which lead me to believe that customers often bought the wrong ones and RETURNED THEM after eating. The audacity. But lowkey she did help me realize I grabbed something I thought was gonna be something else. But I wouldn't have returned it. I would have just sucked it up and ate whatever miso lettuce thing without meat I got.

Love that they offer 50% off after 8 pm for sushi and hot items. Super convenient location as well. Of course this won't be as good as your favorite Omakase place but for a lazy night in this is definitely some good affordable sushi.

What a magical spot! I SO wish we were still hungry when we stumbled across this gem. In the night, it was a bright light oasis calling to us. On the main floor are a TON of hot or fresh food items, like sushi, poke bowls, and more. They have a ton of stuff packaged to take home or even eat there. They even have a ramen station to make in the microwave onsite. Upstairs is an Asian snack paradise. They have aisles upon aisles of ramen, snacks, candies, and more. Plus, you can also find some Asian beauty products and other household items too. What an awesome spot: well organized, clean, and clearly beloved judging by the amount of people in there in the evening.

One of the best sushi deals in NYC! Ten Ichi Mart is a Japanese grocery store that has 50% off sushi, onigiri, poke bowl, and all hot foods after 8pm every single day. My husband and I came a bit earlier around 7:35pm to choose what items we wanted for dinner (could also be a good option for lunch the next day, but we finished everything the same night) and waited until 8pm to check out. When we were there, there were around 5 people picking and choosing, but it got much more crowded once it got closer to 8pm. There's going to be a long checkout line, but it moves fast! This is a solid option for a quick grab-and-go meal, and there are multiple locations (Williamsburg, Gramercy, Cobble Hill). What we got and daily prices after 8pm: $5.49 Sushi combo - favorite one! 5 pieces $5.49 Spicy shrimp and spicy tuna - 10 pieces $1.99 Lobster salad onigiri - does have real pieces of lobster in here $1.79 Unagi onigiri - love the umami flavor Total w/ tax: $16.07 - such a great deal!

Staffs were friendly. Lots of varieties of Japanese food, snacks and drinks. There's an upstairs section. There's also hot food sections, onigiri & sushi. These will be 50% after 8pm. It is competitive but so worth it.

Love ten ichi for authentic Japanese staples. I also really appreciate the fact that they make fresh food. Its the same way over in Japan. I believe after 6 pm its 50% off so theres always a really long line of people waiting. It is definitely pricier than some other Asian marts, but sometimes convenience trumps that!

I was passing by and bumped into this. It is a place full of authentic Japanese goods and household necessities. They have a huge selection of onigiris and I usually grab a few to go since they are cheaper than other Japanese places in NYC. Selection of hot food and Japanese desserts that are always fresh!

Another major obsession. Their chirashi, sashimi, sushi, and hot items are all sooooo good. Ranges from $8-$15. Their onigiri ($2.99-$3.29 depending on topping) is also really really good because they actually fill it with a decent amount of filling and not a little smother. They have decent sales and their products in the supermarket section have a wide variety of selection. The seating area is by the registers. Small, but cozy. There are also items you can order at the register and then they make it at the kitchen.

This was my first time in a ten ichi mart and I felt like I was in heaven! I wanted to buy literally everything. They have everything you can think of from feminine products to hot foods! I love ramen and appreciated the assortment. They had so many different types of mochi. I tried the vegetable steamed bun and devoured 3/4th of it before remembering to take a pic! It was so yummy!

It's ok I think this place is over priced. I went to Whole Foods today and purchased Shitake Mushrooms pack was $5.99 but at this supermarket cost $6.71 and more. **look at at the photo. Miso paste also expensive. But I found Haccho miso is for sale. Highly recommended. :) Japanese Nattou was also $2.99 up. Udon noodle is $5.50 Kimuchi for small size is $10 other places I buy around $5 Plus, This place won't Accept EBT I don't know why. If you're looking for similar Quality, You can go to Mr.Pina/ jubilee supermarket. I saw Some frozen foods were cheaper than these two of them.

Packaged goods are on the basement floor. Meats are to the left, produce is at the front, and drinks and sauces are to the back. Prices are quite reasonable although I've noticed that most American products are slightly more expensive. They do offer grabber tools to help you reach higher shelved products, which is nice. I'd definitely recommend HK Supermarket due to its excellent inventory. Just remember to come before it closes since it usually shuts down around 7-8pm.

The prices, which once were the big lure, are also longer quite as good as they were. As some here have noted, they engaged in outright price-gouging during the COVID pandemic, which I found to be obnoxious. But then the quality of the vegetables steadily declined. Perhaps it was a bad supplier or whatever. And they weren't as cheap as they used to be. The service, while never good, has turned rude, and worse at the fish counter. My old fish store on Grand closed so I started going here for fish. At first I didn't mind when "locals" were waited on ahead of me, but frankly it became irritating after a time. I'm not sure it's legal, to be honest. And the prices of fish are not as good, a buck more expensive per pound, than other fish merchants. The rat i saw on my last visit clinched it for me. Goodbye, Hong Kong Supermarket.
