WARNING TO ANY BLACK/BROWN PPL: This place will make you feel unwelcome!! I hate how tense the security and management make shopping here. I'm a POC and I shop here often because it's close but I've changed my mind, I'm no longer giving them any of my hard earned money. EVERY TIME I shop there the manager/owner and security are on me and watch me intensely around the store although I've always paid and been respectful. I don't even look like someone who would steal but maybe all it takes is your skin color to be profiled . Looks like I'm not the only one who has experienced this .. You would think after several times shopping there rhey would gain some trust but NO. Also, I've gotten produce that was rotten in the middle such as peppers or fruit so definitely not going to waste my time or no longer give my money to price-gouging racists!! read more

Pleasantly surprised at the size of the grocery store tucked way up in Greenpoint. Great selection of natural/organic and even a lot of vegan/dairy free options. My only hold out on the last star is that the product doesn't alway align with the labels on the shelf. I went to check out with an item I thought was $9 but it was $16. I went to put it back because I wasn't ready to pay that much and noticed the tag saying $9 was for something entirely different and I couldn't find a tag anywhere near it saying $16. I then picked out something else for $6 and it rang up for $4 (much better surprise). All in all though, the store is very clean, well stocked, and the staff was nice enough. read more

Cute little market conveniently located near our hotel during a recent visit to Brooklyn. Had what we needed: paper towels, hand soap, juice boxes, and ramen for a hungry child. Place was clean and service was friendly. No complaints here. read more

Nice grocery store. Kind of reminds me of a Westside Market, for those who understand that reference. It's sort of expensive but it has a good selection of things and fresh fruits and vegetables. Not a ton of items on sale or weekly specials. The frozen vegetable section is oddly very very small. They have some nice prepared foods like sandwiches, etc that I like to pick up if iam in a rush. read more

I found the Greenpoint supermarket while taking a walk up Manhattan Avenue. I didn't even know it was there, but they can actually claim to be Brooklyn's northernmost supermarket, as they're but a block or two from the water separating Brooklyn from Queens. Anyway, they seemed to have an amazing array of products, but on my first visit, I stuck to some Chinese dishes in their deli section - Grilled Shrimp, and Sesame (I think) Beef. Bought a pound of each, they were delicious and I finished them in less than 3 days, and am about to head out for more. Meanwhile, the fellow running the deli area was a delightfully friendly guy, and the people handling the check-out were as nice as one could hope for, and in Greenpoint, everybody handling check-out in every supermarket is usually nice and friendly, so they had a hard act to beat! It's about a mile from where I live, but I will be making the walk probably at least twice a week. It's great to have this special supermarket here. read more

Gourmet A is an A class market on green point Ave... Recently opened. Less than a year ago and makes the community happy already with the stuff they carry and the prices they put on the products. Huge isle with full of groceries, drinks and bunch of other stuff Cool , clean and organized market. Also has a fresh produce daily from the market. This supermarket is very convenient in its location and vast offerings. I particularly love their cooked food. They have a steam table that provides breakfast and lunch. As well as fresh daily rotisserie chicken. The best thing is the food in the deli display. I had an awesome stuffed crab back today! read more

Since I moved to the area a year and a half ago, I have seen this grocery store evolve into the majestic vegan paradise it has become. The vegan section is LARGE and well labeled. The staff are super helpful - I had difficulty finding one product and the stock staff was super helpful in finding it. Glad I don't need to make the pilgrimage to Whole Foods in Williamsburg and wait in terrible lines anymore. Definitely shop here for vegan goodies! read more

We live above the grocery store and have been waiting for this place to open for well over a year. It has exceeded every expectation. The food is always fresh, the cashiers are friendly, and it's always kept very clean. On summer weekends, I'm probably there twice a day picking up ingredients, snacks or prepared food. The beer selection is surprisingly good. The meat and fish section is much needed for this neighborhood. There's finally a decent place to get fresh fish. read more

I live two blocks away, and am thrilled to have an alternative to C-Town, which is more of a hike and where I've bought expired food a few times. The store is clean, the cashiers are friendly, and there's a good selection. Only two things I'd change: the store is organized a little unusually. For instance, sliced cheese is in three separate aisles. I couldn't find Swiss in one aisle and assumed they didn't have it; after making a lap, I found it on the opposite side of the store. Also, they need to step up their tortilla game. They only have one or two brands, and not much variation in size (no big wraps, last I checked, or taco-sized tortillas). The store-made guacamole is DOPE AF. Go buy some right now (or don't, because sometimes they run out, and I want it). They should brand that stuff. I've sworn off all other kinds--it tastes homemade. read more

So happy to have this super near us. Has all you could need and then some, without super sizing. The shop is always clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The fish, meat and cheese managers know their produce and more than happy to give advice and even ask your opinion. They have an excellent fresh seafood selection, reasonably priced organic veggies and the cheese selection is a cut above average. The meat selection is also the best we've found of any super around. They're open to suggestions and actually carry through with them. I may have done a Larry David on the bread to them but they took it well (yep that was me). I live about area, literally a block away, so I've been going to the supermarket since it opened up. I use to think this supermarket was decent, but everytime I go and check out my items, the cashiers give me stares, like staring at me so freaking hard. Being a black person that makes me so fucking uncomfortable, like this older cashier lady always stares me down when I'm checking out my items, and I noticed the manager even acts strange and come over to check. The The manager will be in one part of the store and when I go to check out, he comes over to the checkout area. Like why I am I being watched and monitored. I noticed they don't stare one white person like that at all. And the older cashier lady stares the most. I use an EBT card to pat for my items and she just stares, even when I'm not looking at the damn lady I notice feel that she's staring, like what are trying to do make me me feel bad or uncomfortable for using a EBT and I happen to be black. Like you're trying to stare someone down for using an EBT during a pandemic? Like, this isn't cool at all. And the manager and employee need to do better. Most of the workers at this supermarket are Hispanic, so why are you acting like your superior as if you're white. You're literally working in a supermarket, you're clearly no better than black person, or whoever. And to stare my black self down when I check out or come in is really pathetic. I plan on reporting this, because it's not cool to do that to anyone, especially a black person. BLACK LIVES STILL MATTER. And for me to get racially profile in a supermarket by other people of color is really sad. read more

A long-needed market at the top north tip of Greenpoint... This is as best as it gets for a neighborhood market in Brooklyn. They carry a nice variety of products from vegan, organics, imported/international and the stands products you need for every-day home needs at a very good price in most products, which makes them compete with any market in this side of town. In today's ever-changing times it has become very difficult for a New York mid-size store to stand out. And this is something that Lincoln Market in Greenpoint manages very well to do. And they do it with a smile. The quality of service all throughout the different sections of the store can be compared with the service of any gourmet restaurant in the area. Well informed, always with the right attitude to find whatever you are looking for and if they don't have it, they will get it in store for you quick! One can feel that there is personal involvement and commitment to make this store be at its best. As it used to be back in the days in Brooklyn. We live in Soho and have art studios in Greenpoint. We have been doing most of our grocery shopping here since we discovered it. Wonderful choices of delicious, fresh and reasonably priced food. Happy to see a grocery store for this part of the neighborhood but was worried that it would be super expensive. Actually their regular and sales prices (reg. bananas .49 a lb this week!) are competitive with the chain supermarkets and their selection is good. Yes, there are luxury items and hi-end meats & fish but they have more affordable options, all good quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In fact, when they first opened, we were casually checking out the pasta selection when one of the staff asked if he could help us find something. We mentioned a lentil pasta that many places don't carry. They didn't have it that day but they do now. Really appreciate that level of response. We actually shop there more than we thought we would. Plus they have a crusty baguette that looks to be fresh daily. read more

We were staying at the Box House Hotel, Gourmet A'fare was half a block away. We found every think we needed for food, drinks, fruits and vegetables. They have a great deli section, with plenty variety of ready to eat foods. To my surprise, we found Kill Sauce on their shelve, which is a great tasting hot sauce from California.
