Tried to use 3 seams in places we will sit everyday and told me it was structural. I've had 2 other providers since confirm that was a lie. They clearly used remnant pieces hoping we wouldn't notice. For the grand finale, they damaged my brand new cabinets trying to install their product that ultimately wasn't even cut correctly after all. The sink was off and they rammed my cabinet door trying to shove it in. 2 nice gauges I get to look at everyday. Of course, they haven't responded to me about this. I asked for a refund, which was agreed upon, but have still yet to receive anything. Hoping to save someone else this disappointment.

Moved from the…read moreNW suburbs so I thought I'd give the job of my new countertop, sink and backsplash to someone local. Gave rough estimates to Kasia, we selected a quartz and waited to have the final measurements done prior to fabrication. No calls, no information we called several times the day before to be told we never confirmed after they left messages. Now we're pushed back a week. We confirmed that we will be home all day, however, again no one shows up! Another week goes by, we call the day before, and that morning and yes, we're on the schedule. They measure, and we'll have new cabinets the following week. Nope no install no calls, only after I call to find out that the piece we selected was too small. When I asked for my money back, because you have to pay in full to get on the schedule, that they don't do any returns but would consider it but it would cost me $250. At this point we decided they already have our money, so we go to select a granite, which Kasia says is cheaper, but still costs us another $100. The cut the piece, come out to install it, (3 weeks later) and on May 10th we get our cabinets delivered and installed. They look gorgeous, however when they measured the back splash flush against our in wall mirrored medicine cabinet so there isn't enough room for anyone to put their hand between the backsplash and the cabinets to open the doors. We call Kasia again to be told that for them to come out remove the piece would be $500 but if my husband removes it, delivers to them they would have it done in 1 day no charge. That was 3 days ago, and it's still not done. I'm even concerned about posting this until I have the backsplash returned, which we have to pick up and install ourselves, at risk of having our backsplash held hostage. I'm only posting so I can possibly help 1 person from making an error in purchasing from them.

I am amazed at the transformation these new countertops provided. Not only was the workmanship exceptional, everyone was pleasant and very respectful of my personal property. The owners were always checking to make sure things were done correctly. The attention to details in the installation was extraordinary. The cost was well within my budget. When we were trying to make our carpet selection, Paul was able to send samples out quickly and made the whole process very straightforward. They were also incredibly flexible with scheduling. We had other work being completed in the house that kept running longer than expected, which forced us to push our carpet installation back several times. DeSitter was understanding and worked with us each time without making the situation difficult. The installation itself was excellent. Alfredo and his crew replaced all of the existing tack strip and were extremely careful around our newly installed and freshly painted baseboards and newly painted walls. We were especially concerned about damage since so much other work had just been completed, but the crew treated the house with a lot of care. The installers also stayed late on a weekday to make sure they remained on schedule and could completely finish the job the following day. Which was great because it was new carpeting throughout the entire house. That extra effort was very much appreciated. Overall, DeSitter was professional, accommodating, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We are very happy with both the finished product and the experience and would definitely recommend them.

We were especially impressed with our designer, Jackie (and her assistant Katie). They had fantastic ideas: from designing the overall layout, to help in choosing materials, to even how to paint a difficult area to enhance the design. One of the unique parts of our project was the desire to keep some beautiful existing components (specifically some cabinetry, stone countertops, bamboo woodwork and a sauna) but move them to new locations. Jackie did an excellent job in designing that arranging. We lived onsite throughout the project, so we were able to see the process "up close and personal". All of the construction personnel from LaMantia and subcontractors they used were very skilled and personable. Our project manager, Mike R, kept us informed on progress and who was coming each day. The initial schedule was "almost" met. We got delayed by lighting and electric (more our fault than theirs) in the middle, but they did a great job of an extra push to make sure a critical section was usable prior to a wedding brunch we were hosting. We would HIGHLY recommend LaMantia to anyone looking to remodel their home.
