They were unfortunately sold out of the fish and chips, which I'm sure is one of the hot commodities with all the tourists so I ended up getting a cheeseburger instead and honestly, it was SO good. I was really impressed! The burger was great and the bun was super fresh. The fries could've used a little more seasoning for me, but they were still good. And it was my wife's birthday, so I wanted to pick the best for a lunch in town on our cruise stop. And well, she doesn't eat seafood, so she was left to order the Vegetable Barley Soup and the Mac & Cheese so she wasn't thrilled but I've got to say, those two non-fish items were amazing. It would be nice if they offered some other non-fish items. Still, the rest of our seafood eaters loved our dishes. And when in Sitka, make sure you walk east to The Sitka National Historical Park, check out the great little free museum at its entrance, and make your way to the Indian River to see the salmon and possibly bears feeding. An unusual choice for mac and cheese, but it worked. It was nothing spectacular, but it was hot, cheesy and comforting, so on a chilly day, that was a big win for me.
