Our server seemed a bit unfriendly, and the restaurant itself felt unclean, which was disappointing. The food tasted like it had been sitting for a while--everything just had that "stewed too long" flavor. We enjoyed the Al pastor with pineapple tacos the most but the others including the chicharron and asada we didn't even eat. It's possible we didn't order the right things, but overall it just didn't hit the mark for us. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but I'm not sure we'd give it another try. If we did, we wouldn't order tacos.

When she was finally brought her drink, the server asked again if that is what she ordered. It was a very weird interaction as he as able to get mine and my other friends drink order perfectly fine. When our food came out, both of my friends were given their dishes. I was given part of my dish and was missing my tortillas and salad. I asked the server and he said he would grab it. We waited 15 minutes before flagging down a different server who promptly brought the remainder of my food. Not only that, but out server came back to our table and grabbed my friends plate and took off with it around the corner before bringing it back a few seconds later. Without any explanation as to why he was doing that. Definitely a strange experience. The food was good, though.

They have so many decorations and murals that make things seem even more friendly and inviting. The only thing that could be better is the food. All tables receive free chips and salsa, with all of the salsas spicy but very flavorful. I got the enchiladas with chicken, which were amazing. The meat was tender and seasoned well. The rice was arguably the best part of the meal, as their Spanish yellow rice was amazing, especially when eaten with the beans. Service is good, with food generally coming out in 10-15 minutes. The ambiance inside is fun and makes it a great place for a large dinner, such as a birthday or any other celebration. 5/5

This is definitely the kind of place you go with a group so everyone can sample each other's plates, or a place you keep coming back to so you can try something new every time. My only small regret was not swapping the refried beans for black beans with the chilaquiles, but that's just personal preference. Super friendly staff, great service, and really cool decor made the whole experience even better.

I've been here for breakfast and lunch and both times had a great experience with delicious food…read moreand good service. Between my two visits, I got the vegan arepa, Venezuelan breakfast plate, tres leches cake cup, and regular and horchata matcha lattes. The vegan arepa was very tasty. It was a little difficult to eat because the arepa was sliced so thinly that it didn't look sturdy enough to pick up, but it was too crispy to easily cut through with a fork and knife. Still delicious though. I had meant to order with the pink sauce but forgot to specify and got what I think was the guasacaca instead, but it was so good that I didn't really mind. The Venezuelan plate was the right balance of simple and flavourful. Great acai bowl. Tres leches was very sweet, but I enjoyed it, and it was a nice individual portion. The regular matcha latte was pretty good, however the horchata was so sweet that I thought it somewhat overpowered the matcha in the horchata latte. I also tried the açai bowl and fresh-squeezed OJ that my family ordered, and would also highly recommend both of those! Whether you're visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there's a ton of variety including Venezuelan, Mexican, other Latin American, and USAmerican dishes, and some vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere is cool with the fake plants on the ceiling, and they had fun Latin music on. The waitress we had both times was friendly and professional, and the food was reasonably quick to come out. Recommended for something different in Bloomington!

We understand food costs are rising, but here, the quality is going down. I shrug. Lots of competition around town. The upsides are that it's clean, nice restrooms, and very polite. Downsides are slower service, and no flair. We don't drink alcohol, and didn't sample their drinks. Maybe those are good. We'll never know or care.
