We wanted Mexican food nearby, but didn't feel like leaving our house, so we checked DoorDash and found Juan Pollo. It was SO GOOD; wow! I shared the chicken nachos smothered with queso and the chicken was insane. I tried a taste of my husband's chicken bowl with rice. The rice was so flavorful cooked with chicken bouillon and fat and the chicken itself was tender and tasty. Everything in our order was put together perfectly, so service was great. We ate the food for more meals after our dinner, so the value was excellent. Try this spot! read more

I had to make a large order for my office and tried to call the Cathedral City Juan Pollo but no one answered and they didn't even have voicemail set up. So I called the Coachella Juan Pollo and placed the order there instead. The folks there were very friendly even after we changed the order last minute. They even helped to load our truck. Last night was a community party with 70+ people attending. I called Juan Pollo and spoke with Shaun who was very accommodating and helped make the party a success. We ordered the party platter for 60 people and then increased the order when we found out more people would be attending. The chicken and side dishes were outstanding and the party platter was delivered on time with all the trimmings. The chicken was very moist and tender, the sides were very tasty. Shawn and Javier were both a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Juan Pollo whether it's a small gathering or a large gathering. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for all your food and help. Juan pollo is a tried and true place for my family. They have great tasting food, the staff is always nice, the price is right and they are super clean. During today's visit I came across Yvette and Javier. They were both very friendly, but Javier's customer service stood out and was on point. Firstly, he had such a joyful smile. It was very genuine and he was so happy. I ordered salad with the cheese on the side and Javier offered the option of carrots instead of cheese. Which was great and I appreciated his effort. I actually took his suggestion. Thanks, Javier! Anyhow, If you are ever in Coachella, this is a great place to get some rotisserie chicken. read more

What's great about Juan Pollo's chicken is how nice and juicy the chicken is! Ya sure there's El Pollo Loco, but I would still rather have Juan Pollo's over El Pollo Loco cause their chicken is just that good! As someone has already said it's the best value for great food! Even their sides are super delicious! The rice is not just regular plain rice, it's actually got bits of chicken mixed in with green onions. The first time I had it was I was pleasantly surprised to see that and it was tasty and satisfying! I could probably eat just the rice, beans and tortilla's alone but I digress. The chicken really is delicious and it's a nice change of pace from having fried chicken! We used to frequent this place at least once a week when we still lived in the desert! It's a bit out of the way especially coming from the other side of the valley, but it was well worth the drive! Juan Pollo's is great picnic option to have rather than having fried chicken or sandwiches!! Really yummy and tasty food for a great value! If your ever out in the desert for Coachella Music Festival or Stagecoach or just visiting the surrounding area, I highly recommend this place for some grub! read more

Read reviews and drove 5 miles off I-10 to try it. There's a tiny rotisserie chicken place near my house called Lennox Pollo that's delicious. This place is part of a small chain. I got the half chicken with potato salad, rice and corn on the cob for about $8. My wife got the two taco plate. Everything was tasty but neither the potato salad or rice were unique. This may have been some of the best rotisserie chicken I have ever had. I consider myself a bit of a rotisserie chicken snob/ connoisseur. This definitely earns a spot in my top 5. Highly consider giving this my number 1. If you ever get the chance and live in the Coachella Valley definitely add this to your weekly rotation. It's a must. I recently just went to Juan Pollo and let me tell you, amazing. The skin on that chicken is the best I ever had. The chicken breast was juicy which in chicken is very hard to get. The rice is amazing I love that they actually put chicken in it. I do not like mayo at all so I never get potato salad but the moment I tried this potato salad I fell in love with it. This is probably the only place I get potato salad from. The service was great for me when I went. And I truly appreciate the fact that they took every safety precaution necessary during these times by adding a screen between the customer and the cashier counter. And making sure everyone is wearing a mask. I highly recommend this place to go eat because it's great food for a great price. read more

I have always been a fan of Juan Pollo and have always visited the Inland Empire locations. Recently retired to the Desert and had to try out the Indio location.. One word.....WOW! Everything was excellent. Chicken nice and fresh with fantastic crispy skin. But in this visit the beans really stood out. Just the right amount of whole beans to refried. Homemade flavor. Honestly, today was the worst chicken I've had. It looked like it was left overs from yesterday or something, dry, hard, burnt like they kept heating it up until someone bought it! This place does not even deserve a 1 star. Its disgusting and unsanitary. The employees are rude and when you call in an order they don't even have it ready. The rice was dry and was not good at all. Yum, flame golden brown, rotisserie chicken with no heavy breading or greasy taste. The chicken here is really moist. I like the 1/4 Meal Deal with white meat chicken, rice, beans, salsa and a choice of flour or corn tortillas. The white rice is so good and almost a meal on its own with tiny pieces of chicken in the rice. The whole beans and the salsa are good, too. There are also whole chicken deals, burritos, tostadas, tacos and salads. Surprisingly, their potato salad is really good. read more

I was looking forward to my dinner from Juan Pollo however I get home after a 22 hour flight and they messed up my order I live 30 miles away in the Salton Sea the manager did return my call however I was jetlagged and was unable to take his call and called him back the next day and said that I didn't take his calls to discuss the problem!! So I guess that means that when you don't call back they shouldn't have to deal with your problem anyways I come in and he doesn't want to return refund my money only wants to give me two potato salad for the inconvenience I live 30 miles away and Salton Sea they're located in Coachella just very unhappy with the service of their mistake!!!! read more

So if you know about this place, you have to place your order outside of a window. In 100+ degree weather it gets HOT!! and FAST!!! Well, we were left outside in direct heat waiting for the cashier to come out and greet us, this was myself, my elderly 75 year-old mother (as seen in the video) as well as my 14-year-old Nephew. You have to push a doorbell type button to gain the staff's attention, totally cool with that, but when you leave people waiting in 100+ degree weather for 5 to 10 minutes with no shade and no misting system, that could become a problem. So the cashier finally comes out this morning and she greets me and she says it'll just be a couple more minutes before I come out to take your order. I said OK, that's fine, but can you please call me to the window? I said because it's extremely hot and I'm sweating and I don't wanna wait in direct sunlight. She said absolutely, that's not a problem. So she goes back to do whatever she goes to do. About four minutes later she proceeds to give an order to another customer that was waiting in the heat as well, then she calls me to the window. I get to the window and someone proceeds to gain her attention inside of the kitchen, so rather than ask me to hold or tell me that she just needed a minute, she proceeded to slam the window in my face and goes to talk to her coworker about who knows what. What she should've done was told her coworker, hey, I'm with a customer right now, let me get back to you as soon as I take his order, but she didn't do that. She proceeded to make her coworker her priority, not the person that was going to place a $100 order for a group of people celebrating Mother's Day. So she gets back to the window and I proceeded to tell her off. I told her exactly how I feel because at this point I think service in this country has gotten bad with this new generation. She looked like she was in her early 20s, I myself for context am not. So she says I'm ready to take your order and I said, you really just slammed the door in my face, didn't you? She was just stunned that I said something, that I actually had a voice. I said no, I'm not gonna place an order with you, you lost an order because you left me out here in 100+ degree weather. I said I should've been the priority, and I was a little upset because I did drop a couple F bombs (which I regret) but only because I was hot and I was sweating and I was frustrated and I was just angry that this new generation has no concept on how to treat paying customers, especially rational customers, with better service. Now they weren't slammed, aside from the other customer that got to receive his order, no one else was waiting for an order, so it's not like she was super busy. That's what really bothers me, I should've been the priority with my family, but yet she chose to leave us in the heat. I told her, if the roles were reversed and you were outside here waiting in this heat and I was taking your order and I did that to you, you would be extremely upset. She was puzzled and didn't say much. I think she was just stunned that I said something, but I wanted it to be known that whoever is the owner of this place needs to have a serious talk with their employees about proper protocol when waiting to place or receive an order in 100° weather with absolutely no shade or water misters. I really think you guys need to do better. My family and I walked away and proceeded to go grab iced coffee at Everbloom Coffee across the street where we were treated like kings and queens.
