Yesterday 06/17 I had Juan Pollo in Cathedral City because I was out in that area and I hadn't had it in such a long time. It was good. It was juicy. I enjoyed it so today on 06/18 I decided to go into the Coachella location to have some from there, bad idea. The food had the same flavor, but it was really really dry to the point where I was choking at one point and had to put my finger down my throat to stop from choking. I called. I shared the chicken nachos smothered with queso and the chicken was insane. I tried a taste of my husband's chicken bowl with rice. Last night was a community party with 70+ people attending. I called Juan Pollo and spoke with Shaun who was very accommodating and helped make the party a success. We ordered the party platter for 60 people and then increased the order when we found out more people would be attending. The chicken and side dishes were outstanding and the party platter was delivered on time with all the trimmings. The chicken was very moist and tender, the sides were very tasty. Juan pollo is a tried and true place for my family. They have great tasting food, the staff is always nice, the price is right and they are super clean. During today's visit I came across Yvette and Javier. They were both very friendly, but Javier's customer service stood out and was on point. Firstly, he had such a joyful smile. It was very genuine and he was so happy. I ordered salad with the cheese on the side and Javier offered the option of carrots instead of cheese. Which was great and I appreciated his effort. What's great about Juan Pollo's chicken is how nice and juicy the chicken is! Ya sure there's El Pollo Loco, but I would still rather have Juan Pollo's over El Pollo Loco cause their chicken is just that good! As someone has already said it's the best value for great food! Even their sides are super delicious! The rice is not just regular plain rice, it's actually got bits of chicken mixed in with green onions. The first time I had it was I was pleasantly surprised to see that and it was tasty and satisfying! I could probably eat just the rice, beans and tortilla's alone but I digress. The chicken really is delicious and it's a nice change of pace from having fried chicken! We used to frequent this place at least once a week when we still lived in the desert! It's a bit out of the way especially coming from the other side of the valley, but it was well worth the drive! Juan Pollo's is great picnic option to have rather than having fried chicken or sandwiches!! Really yummy and tasty food for a great value! I got the half chicken with potato salad, rice and corn on the cob for about $8. My wife got the two taco plate. Everything was tasty but neither the potato salad or rice were unique. I recently just went to Juan Pollo and let me tell you, amazing. The skin on that chicken is the best I ever had. The chicken breast was juicy which in chicken is very hard to get. The rice is amazing I love that they actually put chicken in it. I do not like mayo at all so I never get potato salad but the moment I tried this potato salad I fell in love with it. This is probably the only place I get potato salad from. The service was great for me when I went. And I truly appreciate the fact that they took every safety precaution necessary during these times by adding a screen between the customer and the cashier counter. Everything was excellent. Chicken nice and fresh with fantastic crispy skin. But in this visit the beans really stood out. Just the right amount of whole beans to refried. Homemade flavor. Yum, flame golden brown, rotisserie chicken with no heavy breading or greasy taste. The chicken here is really moist. I like the 1/4 Meal Deal with white meat chicken, rice, beans, salsa and a choice of flour or corn tortillas. The white rice is so good and almost a meal on its own with tiny pieces of chicken in the rice. The whole beans and the salsa are good, too. I was looking forward to my dinner from Juan Pollo however I get home after a 22 hour flight and they messed up my order I live 30 miles away in the Salton Sea the manager did return my call however I was jetlagged and was unable to take his call and called him back the next day and said that I didn't take his calls to discuss the problem!! So I guess that means that when you don't call back they shouldn't have to deal with your problem anyways I come in and he doesn't want to return refund my money only wants to give me two potato salad for the inconvenience I live 30 miles away and Salton Sea they're located in Coachella just very unhappy with the service of their mistake!!!! read more
