These are clean, organized and communicative professionals. My project was small but complicated. We have an odd counter top extension that sort of hung out at a weird angle, we did not use and took up an entire room of the house (it is a small house). It was becoming a place for accumulating junk. This project required that they cut off a section of granite countertop and detach the extension from the floor. Then they trimmed the granite to a new length it so that they could reposition it with a CLEAN SEAM. It looks great and now I have more usable counter top space for cooking, the kids have a counter to sit at for breakfast and we have an extra room in the house. With a new home purchase on the line, I was stuck between a decision to use Truview or another…read morecompetitor. From my first call to the company, staff were very professional and polite. They answered all questions I had regarding the process and the actual inspection. They were able to get me scheduled in under 24 hours, which was important because of an encroaching deadline. What ultimately swayed my decision to use Truview was the price. Other competitors, after offering a military discount - which Truview does not - still ran $100 above Truview's cost and didn't include the wind mitigation and four point inspection. The inspector (Armanni) was great - he arrived ahead of schedule and was polite and professional, and was very clear with his explanation of findings. The report was received within approximately an hour of the inspection completion, and all 97 pages detailed every possible deficiency you could imagine - from serious to ridiculously cosmetic. After receiving my report, I was unable to send the 4-point and wind mitigation reports by email for our insurance quotes. A quick call to Truview remedied that, and within 10 minutes each report was sent individually by email to permit easy transmission to the insurance company. Very happy with our choice.

You pay for a professional service to avoid surprises, and you end up completely unprotected. I do not recommend them at all--look for another option that is actually serious and responsible.

I had an excellent experience with both Luis and the entire Canopy team. Luis took the time to meet with me in person and make sure I saw all of the tile colors and samples before making my decision. He was communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, the end result was perfect, and the price was very reasonable. Recently, I had a leak coming from an area under a flat roof that Canopy had not installed. I contacted the roofer who had done that portion of the roof to help diagnose and fix the issue, but unfortunately had a very frustrating experience (which I reviewed separately). I immediately called Luis to see if he could offer any advice or point me in the right direction. Luis answered the phone right away and, almost THREE years later, remembered me and addressed me by name. Even though this wasn't a part of the roof Canopy had installed--and they don't even do TPO flat roofs--Luis immediately offered to come to my house and help me figure out what was going on. He spent over an hour with me, listening carefully to what had happened, getting up on the roof to investigate, and helping me systematically test different areas with a hose to try to identify the source of the leak. After we thoroughly investigated the issue, he even offered to help me get a quote for the repair through a partner contractor who specializes in flat roofs. I am incredibly grateful not only for the quality of Canopy's work, but for the exceptional and genuinely personal customer service. The fact that Luis was willing to spend so much time helping me with an issue that wasn't even related to the roof Canopy installed says everything about the kind of company they are. I would absolutely recommend Canopy Roofing and Luis to anyone looking for a roofer. It's rare to find this level of professionalism, responsiveness, and personal care.

Their professionalism was present during the entire process. From discussing the project with Juan to setting up the process with July Cruz, who was always on target and in communication with me, was top notch. The crew worked an entire day until my new flat roof was completed. Everything was cleaned immediately and no mess was left. The crew is friendly and the foreman gave me feedback from time to time. The next day, Mauricio and a couple of workers waited about 6 or 7 hours for the inspector to arrive and sign off. I truly recommend Canopy. All paperwork was provided to me timely. The cost was within a couple of hundreds more from the other companies I consulted, but the quality and value for my money was another plus by choosing Canopy.

David at A1D is great at taking orders but the tile man that did the work, did a beautiful job…read more This standard bathroom was over $5000 and I bought all the tile. I thought I would get a quote for my stairwell to have laminate flooring put down. Six steps there's a small landing another six stairs and a medium size landing $2700 and I was told that he special ordered and made the laminate steps that I requested and gave me a big story on it. So I decided to get another estimate in priced it out at Floor and Decor in Kendall. They sell it right off the shelf. He's $1000 or better overpriced. His prices jobs high but doesn't do the work he subs it out just thought you should know. RESPONSE: David, there are a total of 12 steps not 14 steps with a small landing and a medium size landing. All quotes include demolition, insulation of new furring strips and flush stair treads (not the overlapping ones), materials and labor. There was no need for "custom fabrication of flush stair treads." (just fancy wording for the less knowledgeable) That is "standard" with ANY laminate job. And while we are on topic of standard. When ever I've had bathroom tile work done it always included finishing trim and drywall. I had the additional expense of hiring someone else to do that because you don't. And being that I purchased and supplied all the tile your cost was way out of line. Back to the stairs quote. The laminate is a 10mm from Floor & Decor not 5.5 mm "special order" that you are claiming for the Coffee cream. And the person hired is also licensed and does the work themselves with a helper. They are also a pretty successful business owners. The only difference is they are $1200.00 less then you are and included the top landing. The "second" floor hallway you refer to is a small in comparison landing, not in anyway a hall-way and no one in the right mind would quote two sets of 6 stairs and small landing and not include the top "landing" (not hall way!). David, your a nice guy and you've grown a nice business on peoples lack of knowledge. However, you are way over priced which I can understand since you need to pay your individual contractors (not full time payroll employees with benefits which is considered a misclassification on your part) as well as pay for your own time of "overseeing" a project. Your home address is your place of business sir. I know you have a business license but do you have a "Contractor's" license? Because your actually acting as a contractor. In any case, I wish you well but I don't like being taken as a fool. I only hope others price out jobs and double check your "expert" claims. I did and it was well worth my time.
